honestly as a child who got horrible nightmares and hallucinations (that i still get to this day) from the early fnaf series, Garrett made staying in the fandom a lot easier for me because even though i loved the game and the fandom i was waking up panicked and crying in my room from hallucinations almost every night. how to make fnaf not scary was one of my favourite collection of videos back then.

Although he's done with making Fnaf videos, there's no doubt that he's definitely made a major impact on the fnaf community, if not the series, as a whole.

I just got hit with so much nostalgia, they had to amputate my frontal lobe.

I was introduced to Garrett through Not Scary, but he actually ended up being one of my favorite creators on the platform for his RTTTAs, his music, and basically everything else he’s done.

Those videos were incredibly funny, but it’s kinda sad that people mostly just see Garret as the FNAF Not Scary guy instead of anything else he’s done.

This man is actually a brilliant producer and music composer. I’ve been a fan for years, actually found out about him because of his Fnaf series. So many memories.

As the "One Minute at Freddy's Guy," a series that could arguably also be called Not Scary clones, Garrett was such an inspiration. And he's a totally different kind of inspiration today. It's amazing to see what he's been able to accomplish in the music scene and I've never stopped rooting for him. Go get it!

Honestly I feel like despite how much he hated the pizza joke , it seems to have been the joke that lived past the series, since the joke basically became the fanbases go to joke for chica. Hell security breach did it (although i think its just a coincidence )

When I figured out that Garret was making music for Scott The Woz, I was so suprised that someone I watched in 2014 and stopped watching in around 2017 I believe, was making music for someone I watch now.

I love this guy. I still watch his streams every now and again and he has a redeemable channel points button on Twitch where he says “pizza” in Chica’s voice. It’s bittersweet because you know he’s tired of it but still paying homage.

Me and my best friend in 4th grade used to be obsessed with his FNAF not scary videos, we would constantly quote it at school and it became sort of an inside joke for us. It makes me sad to think that the creator didn't enjoy making them and people only came to his channel for those FNAF videos.

Dude, no straight roads is one of my favorite game is right now. I absolutely love the soundtrack off of that game and I knew I got some good feelings off of that game for a reason. Now knowing that this is part of somebody's passion after a time of when they felt like they were going to be stuck to something they were barely even wanting to do. The fact that he made his dreams come true makes me love that game even more. And it makes me find it even that much more inspiring

I'm surprised by the fact that there's no mention of gamer duck! He was my favourite not scary creator when i was younger, and until i watched this video i had the idea that he wasn’t actually the original creator of the series. I remember always watching his videos, and his series included fnaf fan games so that was what introduced me to a bunch of fan creations! But something i find especially cool is that he's actually a voice actor now and he ended up voicing Ena from, well, Ena And i think that's neat

The fact the first video has more views than this entire channel shows how popular that video was back in the day

Honestly, I'm glad Not Scary exists in a way because I remember watching his Super Mario 64 RTTTA because of one of them. I got into the RTTTA series because of Not Scary and I'm glad I found it because I really liked RTTTA, and I think it's a huge shame we never got more. They were honestly one of the inspirations for me to make videos and it probably had an influence on my sense of humor.

I was actually a BIG fan of his RTTTA series, and I'm honestly surprised they didn't do as well as the Not Scary videos. So while I did enjoy his fnaf videos when I was much younger, as I got older his other content grew really enjoyable to me.

honestly i can relate. i’ve decided to never make consistent fandom content of any kind again, just so that nothing becomes trendy and puts me in that hole again. kudos to garrett for getting himself out of it and continuing to thrive.

I watched half of his “How to make -blank- not scary” videos when I was really young. And honestly, I liked how you brought up the masterpiece of a fnaf video again. I'm exactly in the same situation as garret. I made a French equivalent of "how to make fnaf not scary" and it got 13 million views up to this day, I couldn't belive it. My subscriber count skyrocketed, so I made more. Unfortunately, I had to stop at some point, because I got tired of the game, so I did other content such as 3d animation, gaming and drawing animations. My subs doesn't seem interested in my recent content besides fnaf, and it hurts. It's been 4 years that I'm struggling to create content, but it barely reaches audience to anyone. Maybe I should start a brand new channel...

To kinda sum it up in the way I see it is, Garrett wanted to be a musician but also did RU-vid and when he made one video for a new game/Fnaf that had come out, the video was just a joke and ended up getting a ton of views, more then the work he actually cared about and tried for, so for a bit he did work he disliked but also knew people wanted more of that work, garret knew that this series was dumb and just did not like making because it was not his thing, and he did not wanted to be labeled as a “Fnaf RU-vidr” he wanted to be seen as Garrett. That’s the way I see it I’m probably missing some shit but idk I just wanted to write out my thought’s.

i used to watch the fnaf not scary videos all the time when i was younger. i remember seeing fnaf 3 not scary shortly after it came out. now i always hear Garrett's music in Scott the Woz videos, and it's nice to know he's still a part of my youtube experience all these years later

I genuinely did not know Garrett made the fnaf not scary vids, and FNaF has been one of the most influential series for me. To be honest, I only knew Garrett from his wo woth Scott the woz, so I was surprised to hear he was the one who made them (not in a bad way sphsfjdgfh). Honestly, I was very glad to find his music 2 years ago and realize this was the same guy that made these videos, it really took me by surprise. I misclicked on his song "Get Along" and really liked it [isn't that how we find the best music ;D?], it's still on my massive music playlist as one of the first I added. I remember the video he made recreating the "I play Pokemon Go, Everyday" song to say "Hey I do other stuff, other than FNAF!" back in the day and I was hoping he achieved continuing to make music, it was nice to get that confirmation. That video was also the one that made me realize 'oh, this dude has actual talent' xD.

I can understand being stuck in a loop of the same content. I made a dumb series where I had SCPs and character from My Hero Academia meet each other. I only made 2 seasons, 5 episodes each, but the first episode has 800K views. While it's kind of died down, there were multiple comments soon after the end of season 2 of people begging for a season 3. I even made a joke about it by posting a fake episode of season 3 on April Fools. I focused on SCP content after the end of the series, but my love for the SCP characters is starting to falter as well, and I want to make content about FNaF, a series that I'm WAY more invested in. I'm not sure how to go about it, especially because I feel like I've established myself as an SCP Gachatuber pretty well, but maybe it wouldn't be so bad to just start posting FNaF content, even if it does get me minimal views.
