I can imagine how he felt when he lost his friend, fellow presenter Jonnie Irwin, coupled with losing his dad and 2 dogs would have shaken his world. Good for you Jules....take a break to reset and heal from your losses. We shall be praying for you. I shall be praying from Italy. I am a fan of escape to the country and I really enjoyed watching you and Jonnie. You have a special knack in connecting with people. Glad you are taking care of yourself. We'll be waiting for your return!

Jules, take your time to heal and get strong again! Burn out and such losses are devastating ! Your father and beloved pets. Pets become our family. I have lost everyone in my family. My mother I cared for 11 years, she fought a rare cancer. Life is never the same. But life is just that, for the living! No one can take your memories away. Each day is so precious. God Bless....you were meant to be a presenter with your charisma and charm. You have brought hours of joy to millions! We can't wait for you to come back!

I can quite understand Jules decision to step back for awhile The loss of a parent you are close too reminds you of the briefness of life You have now moved along into the position of next in line Its frightening and lonely To lose two lovely companions of the dog world at the same time must have left him feeling devastated Losing Jonny from the show so recently in such an awful way ,must also have played its part in how he was feeling .Jules is a wonderful warm presenter, but we don't own him..I wish him all the best in finding a creative way to deal with his deep sorrow at this time For me it was painting and writing to deal with my mothers death when I was 19yrs old and my beautiful two Goldens in more recent years .As the Queen said so poignantly Grief is the price we pay for love....Bless you Jules

As a fan of the show, escape to the country, and you, and as a cabinet maker myself there is nothing more satisfying than see a completed piece, from a pile of wood. I,m 75 now and I still get a kick. Enjoy your time with cutting wood, but watch your didgets... Mike from Lincolnshire

It must have been so tough for Jules to loose his Father, two dear Companion Dogs and Jonnie Irwin! We the spectators ar more fortunate and watch All those past episodes and his Wit and Smile!
