I hope there will be a lbp4 one day however it’s unlikely, however on the bright side look up restitched, it’s an indie game in development trying to make an LBP type of game with their own characters and ideas and they just released their November update confirming that the game will have 15 layers up from the original 5 they had
Sumo Digital wasn't really the problem with LBP3. it was Sony's insistence on a holiday deadline that Sumo, who hadnt worked on an LBP game before, likely wouldnt be able to meet the demand for. The issue is that, Sony pushed way too hard on Sumo, which cause a lot of the issues that, to some extnet, does plague LBP3 still. I think LBP3 is the best in the series with its creative tools, but it just failed due to the issues surrounding its development. If Sumo had more time.. they could have ironed out a lot of those issues.
To be fair Sumo Digital started development on it since 2011 shortly after Lbp 2 launched, Sony Interactive Entertainment setting a holiday deadline after giving them about 4 years of development is not that outlandish SIE literally had XDev Europe, Tarsier Studios, Supermassive Games, The Station, Testology plus Media Molecule helping out during production No way in hell should Little Big Planet 3 have come out in such a poor state from a 1,100 plus workforce studio
If LittleBigPlanet 3 Success, then LittleBigPlanet 3 would've been better than LittleBigPlanet 2, then we would have got new LittleBigPlanet Game included LittleBigPlanet HUB in 2016 LittleBigPlanet 4 in 2020 And LittleBigPlanet Remastered Trilogy of LittleBigPlanet 1 & 2 & Karting in 2021
