dude you go through half of what women especially beautiful women in hollywood go through especially after oh say 30 let alone 40s to in hollywood & see if you wouldn't hate your job & hollywood & being famous. She's hardly the first female of any fame level to call out & quit hollywood over the behind the scenes bs & pressure especially put on women & girls in hollywood. She was far more talented then Shia that's for sure.

The last thing I saw her in was one of those Travel Channel ghost shows where she hosted and somehow managed to come off bored and nervous at the same time. I think it made it 3 episodes before getting axed.
Hollywood is fucked up and needs to change. Now I am no fan of Megan fox, but what they did to her was fucked up. She deserve respect. Everyone respect everyone when filming and you take the job serious and don't be a scumbag and mess with their pay too. They work hard too so we can either shit on them or give them praise if we like their actor and movies.
she is the hottest woman outthere and can act when given something to work with. I tink she has learned alot and matured sincehte drama with Spielberg and hopefullly goes onto good things.
She fell out of grace because she publicly called Michael Bay Hitler and various groups that control the movie industry lost their shit and she was kicked out of Hollywood. This was public knowledge at the time - it was a huge deal To be fair to Megan calling someone Hitler was slang in her age group and the older generation didn't care for the new usage. She was unfortunately caught in the middle and due to her age she didn't realize how Hollywood actually runs behind the scenes and that it was a big no no. Bay was hard on her with the work schedule and she called him Hitler for it. If she had said he was a slave driver her career wouldn't have been effect at all and the point she was trying to make would have still worked. Having said that she was already out for me as just before that she gave an interview and talked about one time in some sort of girls school or retreat she took a huge dump and didn't flush to piss the other girls off and now I couldn't get the image out of my head and poof I didn't think she was hot anymore
Its called she stood up for herself & told hollywood to kiss her asp & left hollywood after all the harassment she got from producers cast mates media fans haters etc etc. Not everyone want or needs to be the star of hollywood & many who do especially suddenly don't handle it well. Look at the guy from Terminator, or shia laBafoon talk about both actors who lost it & blew it badly & pathetically especially since neither were really that great or skilled to start with as actors & just happened to get lucky landing a part they had no business or skill in playing. I give Megan probs she made some money & bowed out at the height of her promising career unlike pretty much any other actor like again Shia. Talk about a guy who never had skill & yet got a chance & did nothing with it but make a fool of himself & go broke. Fox at least didn't go broke & out of control she might not be worth a lot in hollywood money but she's worth more then her ex brian pathetic austin green was who had a longer career though much less talent. Megan actually had talent as the hot girl but also a badass girl & she could have been a better Harley Quinn or an alternative to scarlett Johanson but she also knew the more movies she made the more pressure she would get & blame for hit or miss films no matter how good she was or bad the rest of the cast or the director or the script were & she bowed out.
Shia is a great actor who was shelved for being controversial, his roles in Fury & Constantine as well transformers was relatable, nuanced and rather realistic takes tbf. That's three films so he's hardly a one off...
Better harley quinn / black widow. Nah man she didnt have that range emotionally for quinn & physically for black widow. But she would be perfect as a bond girl.
@@Ranzoe813 Sorry but Shia is not was never & will never be a good or average actor & not wanting to do mainstream movies or blockbusters is not a justification or reason a bad actor is a bad actor. Johnny depp has been controversial & enjoyed more selective picking on his movies yet still a great actor with wide range Shia not even remotely. I wouldn't cast Shia as a insecure pathetic lil boy who wears a bag over his head to an award show saying I'm not famous that's how bad he is & he did that in real life on his own. Shia is no Johnny depp or Jared Leto both of whom have wide wrong & are alot more selective in what films they pick & have a habbit of staying away from big budget films though i suspect for different reasons. And I'm not really a Jared Leto fan Johnny Depp I will say I am & have been since his days on 21 jump street which about that time Jared Leto was on my so called life as quiet cool kid & both depp & leto characters seem to match me at the time. But still after my so called life Leto focused on his band & good for him but acting wise I never thought he was good. He diffently has range though & willingness to go off the rails just like Walton Goggins & is a good actor. Walton was hilarious in Sons of Anarchy

@@Ranzoe813 I think anyone including a corpse could have player Shias role far better but I don't think many especially depp would do it it's not really his thing & that's cool I don't think it was really Shia things which is why it was so bad & the chemistry with Fox & the other cast was so off. Depp clearly is more of the odd ball like Jack sparrow type especially if it comes to blockbusters. There's some people & roles that people can do naturally & when it is paired with a actor who can do it it's impressive memoriable & often considered great acting. There's also times where no matter the actor or the role they just don't work. Chris Hemsworths a pretty funny down to earth talented guy who has done a range of movie most I haven't seen but still think he's a pretty good actor & one of the few I considered seeing in new films. Chris hemsworth playing a hacker in black hat was not a good pairing it wasn't believable he's clearly not a hacker type & doesn't fit the role it's not his fault. Same goes for Denise Richards play a bond girl nuclear physicist it's just not realistic or particular & nothing she could do no matter how well a role like that were written she'd still be laughed at & mocked called bad even worse & it was one of the worst bond films I've ever seen. Still I have nothing against her & the bond role was badly written which didn't help her try to play it. Gerald butler is another one who everyone loves but I can't see as being really a good talented actor. My point is that a good actor let alone a great actor makes a role seems natural like that person does it of the set away from hollywood even when clearly they don't for whatever reason. Shia picked roles he couldn't pull off they didn't come natural to him thus he did crazy antics knowing this & I get it I don't fault him for it or any other actor sometimes you got to pay the bills & get films to get a name out there. Common aka Ra John Fisk was awesome in John wick playing a bodyguard assassin but in Hunter killer playing a cheezy navy officer just doesn't work same goes with Gary Oldman he has been in some fitting & great characters even if the movies sucked but Gary Oldman will never work as a navy officer especially as Chairman of the joint chiefs. Oldman was great as wiston churchhill in Darkest hour & other roles but clearly some of his roles were not good fits . Not everyone can be great actors & while not a fan of either Megan or Shia Megan was the better of the two & I'd bet that's part of why shia did all the nonsense during & after filming. Hopefully he's happier now doing no one sees films if he's even still acting. I don't think he's missed much we Megan's happier. They made some money & fame & went out on their own terms can't beat that.

I don't think it can be dismissed the possibility of her being black-balled a bit but it's also possible that people realized she's not a particularly good actress.
Not sure about everyone else, but making 2x on a film isn't what i would call a flop. Shes still very beautiful and while her acting isn't the best its not the worst. Shes there for the eye candy and one of the reasons transformers did so well is due to her scenes on it. Sex sells, for both genders.
She was third-railed at the same train station that many that had a different opinion on certain things. Sometimes they do recover and become even more powerful.
It looks like she has a bad Agent. So many crappy movies. Also, I was never a fan of the super-hero movies, and all CGI based movies where they prefer to dazzle you with SFX instead of an enthralling story and captivating characters. Provided a great role in a very good story, she could easily rise to the top. I wonder if she is open to indie filmmaking? Away from the Hollywood machine and all the toxicity that comes with that, to a cast and crew of people who love the art of filmmaking, instead of the darkness of the machine. The opportunity to play a role that intrigues her, that she would not otherwise have such an opportunity?
she looks good in action film. if she spend sometime training stunts, i think she makes a great femme fatal character in her 40s. directors and producers should just stop trying to make her beautiful and start treating her like an actress.

I just saw her as just another pretty girl with mediocre talent that may have slept her way up the chain to better roles. Probably why I never watched other films of her as a lead.

Jennifer’s Body couldn’t fit into any genre like horror, comedy, action or thriller. Even if Fox claims it to be her best movie, it couldn’t give her a cut to be a talented actress…

The production budget doesn't include other costs, such as marketing. It's generally accepted that earning double the budget means breaking even, hence not successful
@@darj617 Of course that assumes they did actual marketing. I love E R Burroughs' John Carter book series, when I initially heard a movie was being made I was ecstatic. Then we heard nothing for months, I never saw anything to suggest it was out. I had to SEARCH for it on the web to find out it had been released, and by then it was in the $1 theaters. The big budget films, yes they market them a lot, and maybe it can double the cost, but I'm betting they've got it figured out pretty well how much advertisement they need to recover losses unless the movie really sucks - like Water World. That one was never going to recover any part of it's budget. I know they like to claim they spent as much on marketing the film as producing it, but I wonder how often that's actually true.
Earning don't take into account that they have to split the money with cinemas and marketing usually cost a quarter of the production budget that isn't accounted. A movie that isn't able to do twice the production budget is usually a financial lost for the studios.

If they have to make at least twice the basic production cost to break even, then earning twice the budget is a break even, not a loss. And I wonder how often the reported box office is merely the US box office? And lets not forget rental and sales video sales.

Don't think that happened until after 3 came out. That marilyn monroe one she used to have on her arm was the only one and could be covered by makeup. Then she starting getting words on her back and sides, so yeah.
I feel bad for her. They did her dirty. Not her fault at all. She was good in all her movies. However I hate her for what she had done to her face. I mean why? She was already one of the hottest girls out there and still she did this?
Fox made $100,000 for the first one. Gibson was paid too. He just left more money on the table for his name to be listed 2nd, right under Shia's. That's what he actually meant by saying he "paid to get his name in the credits". He's listed above Josh, who has a lot more lines and Edwards, who had maybe a few more. He might have negotiated one of these percentage of the profits deals so that the studio didn't have to pay him up front but only when they made bank.

Tranformers turned her from nothing to a huge star basically on her looks - you can bet she got paid millions by fashion companies, adverts, etc off the back of that so I am sure she did ok.
People discover Megan and how of a stunning beauty she is : Megan Rise. After awhile people start to actually look at her acting skill : Megan falls. Case closed.
Megan was great - then all that plastic surgery shit happened and her looks went down.. I'll never understand why people inject and tuck and nip and stretch thier faces. it doesn't look good.
We were attracted to her but as time passed the term attractiveness changed with the experience of life and then she doesnt have acting talent to go further
I'm not a Megan Fox fan and never have been. I think it's amazing that her acting career has gone as far as it has with her terrible facial skin. I guess make-up and camera tricks or even CGI can do wonders. That being said, I don't think she has much to worry about until her looks fade. If she hasn't proven to the world that she has the acting chops to remain in the game by then, Hollywood will finally cast her aside.
