What happened to Moa Kikuchi during the show in Montreal was prove of her professionalism. It was just a little detail, but enough to see the artistic quality these girls have.
Moa is legit professional. There have been so many cases like this. One is at Budokan when the microphone was rolling away from the stage lifter and Moa gracefully retrieved it before it got too far. Two: At the LA show when she fell during a dance (I think it was GC?), she literally fell on the floor, but got right back up like nothing happened and finished the song and set. Three: During Sonosphere? Was it that festival? When her ear-piece volume was not on so she could not hear her queue to begin her chorography in unison with Su and Yui. Once Moa realized she did not hear the queue and was the only one who was standing still and had not begun the song, she managed to find the rhythm and continue even though she could not hear through her ear-piece. That may sound like no big deal, but you also may not know what it sounds like when you are on the other side of the speakers and can only hear a loud crowd of thousands of people in front of you. You think you can hear the guitars behind you? Think again, they are electric and hooked up to speakers.
I think also is bad luck x3 always is Moa haha, in a hedobangya song she fell too and she just got up in a second and finished the last part of the song like a pro :D
+Yoonbum - Yui did fall off stage during Headbanger at Budokan Red Night and came back for IDZ. However, during IDZ's WoD run, Moa slipped and sprained her ankle. There's video of her during the song avoiding putting weight on her left foot and trying not to cry.
Raeleen what the last one during the song Babymetal Death when Yui and Su started the part where they bring their arms around and Moa was just standing there with the fox signs?
@Soufriere - Since it was built as a martial arts arena, Budokan had to challenge these unlikely contenders, of course. Despite the incidents, BabyMetal emerged victorious (and I don't know of any incidents like this on Black Night, so the spirit of Budokan must have accepted their victory). :)
Yeah at 01:41, she threw the mask to prevent them from slipping into it. She's awesome! I just can't stop laughing at her professionalism and cuteness when she threw that mask. I wonder why Kitsune-sama (mask) flew onto her like that? Hehe.
Moa was like, Su-san, this is the second time you hurt me. First when you forgot to write my name in the list of Sakura Gakuin members then this? You throw a mask on my face..? If this happen again for the third time, it would really be FRIENDSHIP OVER!! xD
I think Su-metal needed to throw it off the stage, but the wind blew it back then hit Moa. And Moa helped to grab it and throw it off the stage again without changing and affecting any dancing movement. Wow! How can she do that!? I also remember, once, the mask was hitting against a woman who was standing by the edge of the stage.
This actually just happened again too! At the Brixton show in 2019, Su's arm cuff came off and Moa nonchalantly tossed it away. I adore these ladies so much and miss Yui so much.
A pro at a young age. Professionally got rid of the mask. if it was still there she might have stepped and slipped on it injuring only herself. ~ a Moa fan >.
She is a pro. She wouldn't have any idea where the mask had come from or indeed what it was at first, for all she knew somebody in the crowd could have thrown something at her, but it didn't phase her at all. Babymetal rock.
Great observation. And that was pro for sure. I think the performance level of all musicians from the millenium and on will greatly increase. In America for example there are a lot of places similar to something called Rock University, which trains kids for performance as well as teaching them how to play.
I've seen loads of footage of the girls performing Megitsune and the part where Su throws the mask to the crowd. I don't think I've ever seen her get it into the crowd once. The whole band is at risk when she starts chucking stuff around! She's a fantastic singer but don't sign her up for your softball team. She'd couldn't hit a barn door at three feet ...bless her!
I think you meant to say "experienced" and not "experimented". The mask was a piece of plastic and it flew back in her direction probably due to a slight breeze and how it was thrown. Please don't make something unintentional into something controversial.
I just watched LoGiRL episode 1 .. Moa did mentioned about this incident. And they mentioned about Su-metal and BABYMETAL on first episode. On episode 1 .. Moa Kikuchi, Yui Mizuno and another 3 members of Sakura Gakuin.
That still of the lead singer she looked horrified seeing the Mask land where it did and could not do much while in the performance. It really did look like a look of of shit sorry about that moment.
You aren't paying attention. Any other bratty American pop singer would have stopped dancing to grab the mask and throw it off the stage, Moa was able to toss it into the audience without stopping for a second.
She is very beautiful and she is amazing but she also have a strong personality and apparently she did not like the fact that mask hit her but is Mometal so I like ♥it
