Trick to not get Sunscreen in eyeballs - take 2 gatorade bottle caps and place them in your eye sockets. Open eyes wide, put caps in socket, squeeze eyes closed. Spray sunscreen, remove caps. No sunscreen in eyes!

If you want a big bass lake don't stock crappie. They will eat up the bass babies.

@@ramzey8634 compared to bluegill and bass, crappie eat a lot of fry. Same with green sunfish. Some species just don’t do well together in small water.

I use to think the same thing but a small pond near me that has crappie and bass has some of the biggest bass I’ve ever caught including my 7 pound pb. I feel like that might have to do with the fact the crappie have kept it from turning into a baby bass factory and the ones that survived are able to get big.

You should put some bullheads in there. They are incredibly hardy, fun to catch with lighter tackle, and are prolific spawners. Also all fish love to eat little baby catfish.

Go walk a creek...good way to get some small stuff. And, you might consider a deep well with a wind powered pump to help out the pond.

Dirt dobbers (or dirt daubers) can sting humans multiple times in quick succession but they’re not aggressive like some of their winged counterparts. However, they’re unable to bite you. Unlike yellowjackets, dirt daubers are not known to be super territorial or aggressive around their nests and rarely even attack when their nest is disturbed.

big fan of yours, but JB, you really need an editor/cameraman again. Compare the video of your pond restoration of 4 months ago, to this one -- no action from you just watching you holding a camera while you walk or talked. Don't lose your creative edge. Keep posting don't stop, cause you still my favorite; just re-evaluate your creative side or bring on a camera-man like all the other googans have.

tilapia will do well and breed relatively often and that would double as food source plus they are easy to fee on pellets

Typically I just spray the sunscreen in my hand then rub it on my face, that tends to work pretty well.

Love to see how the pond is coming along! I think if you laid some sod down around the perimeter that would really make it look nice. Get some more bait in there and you’ll have stud largies in no time.

Stacking your kayaks across 2x4s like that will cause dents to form on the keels. Especially when it gets hot, the hull will get soft and form onto whatever it's resting on. If you run planks lengthwise it will distribute the weight and reduce the deformation on the keels.

You should try and catch an absolute behemoth bass and tag it and put it in your pond and reward someone with baits or just any the gear you don't want signed by you if they caught it. That would be dope! 🤟🏼💯

I have been thinking. Maybe I am completely off base here. I have a bug zapper. I also have a suction bug trap. Attracts with light and suction keeps bugs in the tray. Speaking in terms of the suction trap, it collects a thousand assorted bugs per week. Mostly small moths. You could hang a trap over the water and let the bug fall into the water. Fish would eat them.

Would really research before adding Cappie to your pond . For what I've read it's to small for Crappie to Bass ratio . Crappie reproduce more to much competition for forage for the Bass.

I've read that you shouldn't do crappie under 2 acres because they will take over. So unless you plan on eating a ton of crappie in the future I don't know about adding crappie
