For those saying they can't believe Jack made Jamie carry all the weight end of the cabinet and tv up the stairs. When my hubby and I do it I prefer going up last too. I don't trust myself going backwards up the stairs. IMO it's harder going backwards and carrying things. Maybe Jamie preferred going up last? ♥️♥️
Agreed. Plus, my husband's strides are larger than mine so if I go up first/am the one walking backwards, I often end up stumbling or having to move quicker than I actually can. If I go up last/am the one walking forwards, I can better set the pace and it's just safer for everyone.
I have never gardener before. You being so honest about not being an expert gardener and that everyone makes mistakes has given me the bravery and desire to start gardening myself!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!
I moved into my place 6 years ago at 25, alone, I have a back, side and front garden. Had never done gardening before but I had no choice but to look after it all, I had all the wrong tools and no experience but I still managed it, weeding, scraping moss, planting flowers, my neighbour is a gardener and every summer he shouts down to me that I'm doing a great job! 😄 he has given me tips on the best tools I can use for certain jobs and now I look forward to doing my garden maintenance every summer. Its really rewarding 👍
I love that sun room. Couldn't stop lagging when your face was numb❣ gardening is my new passion, always loved playing in the dirt. I learned more by trial and error. Enjoy 😉
This whole video made me remember as a child what I was most looking forward to when I grew up, having a place of my own, in the sun, with so many ideas and potential into home - loving these wholesome videos 🥰
I like the idea of the rock trimming the house. We did the same thing. Nice place to put small shrubs, I’ve got hostas and hydrangeas planted around. It just makes it look so clean on the edge of the house.
Yes to the deck in the garden!! Sounds like a fantastic idea, it would be awesome for cooking or eating outside and the shade underneath would be great for the doggos
I would love your conservatory, it reminds me of my mom. Every house we have ever lived in growing up we had tons of plants. Don’t listen to the ones that claim to be experts, you are doing amazing!
I'm a self declared amateur gardener. My mum, gran partner or dad used to always repot my plants for me and now I've decided I need to get into it so I can do things all nice myself but I'm absolutely doing bits wrong 😂💕
Yes definitely an absolute must build out a deck area! Will change your life living inside. I've just changed my grass no mow into a pebble just like the Italian garden style! The dogs won't won't to dig so much Plus it's low maintenance.
For the back garden, thats such a great idea, if you look into like a exposed stone concrete its really nice, we have it in our garden our dog loved it and our cat loves it for a scratch while we sunbath
The garden and house is EVERYTHING GUYS🌟🌟 your idea for the garden I love Jamie!! Do it!🙌🏻 I’m starting my garden journey too so amateur gardeners for the win 🌟
A raised rustic deck from the kitchen is an ace idea. I’d probably have 3/4 of it with a roof so you can sit outside in all weathers. Have a table and chairs, a BBQ on the open part, perhaps stairs off it to the garden. I realised as you were showing us, it’s one hell of a walk with all you’re BBQ stuff, plates etc and fetching drinks when entertaining, to have extra access with another seating area, especially if you covered it for the UK’s inclement weather, that would be ace. You can even put maybe a sofa and fire pit up there, depending how big you went with it. I can just see it, would be beautiful x
If you are looking for more plants I highly recommend Glasgow PlantMama. It's an independent plant shop that have a great selection and the boss, Emma, is super knowledgeable. She only started up last year and was so lovely when I went in; she took the time to pick out pet friendly choices, and she does online care classes if you're a little uncertain about how to look after any of your plants 🙂
I love love how you guys dont rush your renovations but enjoy the home that you brought. You take in its beauty and nature of the home being a home before renovating it into something more ❣❣ So fulfilling ❤
Your weekly vlogs honestly make me feel like I’m sitting down with a friend and chatting about our week together. Your such a great friend to us all Jamie🥰 xx
Ahh another great vlog! Can't wait to see Vieve in the flesh, you've got me thinking here!! Cant wait to see whats next...11 days and counting! ;) Plans for the garden sound great! You guys have a great sun trap in your garden! You two moving the Tv upstairs was like the outtakes from stepbrothers! haha! Cant wait to see the upgrades for the house next week! soo exciting! (ps never stop saying that, I was on your live yesterday when you said that someone got annoyed at how much you say it!) Not here my friend, I love it! Gets us all excited for the future things going on! Ps I have found a new love for Cola Calippo's! Lots of love J x
Gardening and cooking are my therapists! I am no expert but i have fun learning it all and intuition guides me well 😊 Enjoy all your hobbies! You speak to your plants like I do. BTW plants love music...I play singing bowls, my fav tunes and sing to them. Happy exploring!
I love your orangey red lippy- where’s it from? You’re giving me all the warm weather vibes in this vlog but I haven’t been properly out in ages. Can’t wait to see more house updates. xx
We call them patio stones. I think think the vision you have for your back garden sounds wonderful. Thank you for sharing your world with us! I can't wait to see what you and Vieve bring us next!
You should string up lights and put some outdoor furniture etc so you can have the Vieve team over for a back yard party or just friends when Scotland is fully open! I remember when you had an outdoor party right around the beginning of lock down and I think the deck is a great idea!
I've recently been trying to garden and grow things and it's a bloody minefield of what's the "right" way to do it and you're spot on, we have to make our own mistakes all my plant babies are still alive so I think I'm doing alright 😂 also YES to Tiger beer, such a top tier bev and hardly anyone drinks it! Your taste is *chefs kiss*
It just makes me so happy to see you guys enjoying your beautiful new home & beautiful garden☺️ loving the idea of the “decking” or “platform” coming out from the kitchen💯 that would be so nice especially being that it’s up a level from the garden👌🏻xxxx❤️
Omg I love a mattress on the floor. I’m 34 and have done this since I was a kid, introduced it to my husband 7 years ago and he loves it too, so do the kids. We drag the mattress into the living room every now and again for a wee movie night
The balcony off the kitchen sounds wonderful! I finally got my lip piercing! It's an Ashley piercing. Just like yours but through the inside, so no bar showing on the outside under the lip. Just the beautiful diamond on my bottom lip. I'm too old for the one you have, though I can already see the advantage of yours over mine. I never wanted one until I fell in love with yours, so THANK YOU! Just something fun to do and I think it's so pretty! Some, well, most😂 would think I'm too old for it but I do things for me, and me only!! Love to you, Jack, D & J💞 * I'm thinking your makeup room is going to be finished the way you want it and that's the next thing you talked about showing us soon?! I'm so happy for how happy ya'll are in your new home! It's an absolute dream house!💖
My mama always said “ if you’re alive you’re not too old for anything” enjoy your new piercing! Don’t let old ways ruin your fun in life! It’s just a piece of jewelry in your lip.
@@Heatherjo951 Smart mama! I agree, but some wouldn't! I was diagnosed with terminal Leukemia and began my 'bucket list' That's when I really started getting more & more tatts & piercings! This body isn't going to be mine for long so I thought I'd do what I want with it! LOL I look much younger than I am but I'm sure some ppl would still see me as too old for such things, but I DON'T CARE! They don't know MY story!!💞 Thank You for your sweet comment! I've wanted this piercing for a while but they weren't doing lips because of covid. I jumped at the chance as soon as they started again! I've seen lots of comments asking Jamie about her piercing so I wanted to share that I finally got mine😉😊 XOXO
thanks for putting a smile on my face love your house back yard is gorgeous have a great time enjoy everything before you know it you will be my age Love you guys cheers from Ontario Canada where still in lockdown big hugs
I just re potted and soiled my first plant this week hahaha so weird. I have no clue about the roots and shit so much stress. My plant has been thriving with the Glasgow sun
Garden is so nice!! I live in Glasgow too and have been doing my garden up in my new house too! I went out to the Dobbies Sandholm near Lanark and there's sooo many garden centres on road along to it, definitely worth checking out :) love the new house btw!
Not gonna lie, im a bit jealous, you´re house gets more beautiful every single time you show us different areas. Its just a perfect one! I wish I will fond something like that one day.
