Do you ever wish that you could go back in time and warn these people about what’s going to happen? Like, don’t go with that guy, or stay home. Ugh, wishful thinking can be painful.
Yes, but the question is would they listen even if you did warn them? You can warn someone over and over and it can fall on deaf ears, they will do what they want regardless of what they are told.
His father was a judge in training on the island, but that the chief is his godfather, because they're not originally from Aruba, so that doesn't make sense, because godsons are baptized as a baby, he was a teenager when his parents moved to the island 😊
HIGHLANDER People can be baptized at ANY age, and my point was that he had connections within the justice system, and regardless of location that always benefits you.
What makes sense? He’s been arrested many times. You’re acting as if they’re just letting him get away with this he would be in prison for her murder if they had enough evidence. He is also spending 20+ years in prison. A judge has A LOT of authority and could’ve easily gave him the tiniest sentence possible. Nobody is going light on him I don’t understand your comment at all.
@@Andreawbs I don't think Maggie was talking about the prison sentencing. I think they were talking about the other crimes he did. Possible human trafficking's which he was never charged for, he was a known date rapist, extortion. They couldn't protect him from the murder charge (most likely because it was committed in another country) but they had been keeping him out of prison for the other stuff.
He definitely killed Natalee, 100%. Killed her and threw her in the ocean. He's an actual psycho, toying with the family and manipulating them. All they want is closure. And THEN, he killed Stephanie Flores, who would have still been alive if he had been arrested for Natalee's murder.
One thing that I always thought about this case was that she had some really shitty friends. I never left my friend alone in a place we don't know. Especially drunk.
Exactly. My friends and I ALWAYS had the rule that "we came together and we leave together". None of us would ever take off with strange guys that we met. No matter where we were. Nevermind on vacation. Poor Natalie. R.I.P sweet beautiful girl
Well also the girl was a big drug addict. She always left her friends and would go back to the hotel at 9 am the next day. More like she always did whatever she wanted
Agree! When Girls are out like that there should ALWAYS be a designated SOBER person who does NOT let you go off alone or leave you EVEN IF YOU FIGHT THEM or especially if they are DRUNK!!!
@@777sheri yup! It's crazy. How loyal are your friends? Even if you have a friend that doesn't want to leave a party etc, make sure they are taken care of before leaving and just don't fuck with them anymore, becaise they are a hasbin at parties.
I don't think so... you never know if her body would show up and you got to have acces to a boat. I bet they put her body in the national park marsh. Him and his father.
I always thought he made that nasty little comment as a poke to the case and her mom. Like see she's with the sharks then smiling like the little snake he was and is.
Please please do the highway of tears. It's in Canada and a lot of Aboriginal women go missing there. It would really shed light on the topic and possibly help find some of the women that have gone missing.
Especially the Amber Tucarro (sp?) case... her killer was literally recorded because of her being on a phone with her brother who was calling from jail
Yes please Kendall!!!! This is needed. People need to be made aware of the absolutely horrifying tragedies that are going on with native women in Canada. Too many are going missing.
Please make a video about the highway of tears in Canada. A lot of Aboriginal women go missing there by making a video it would really shed light on the topic and possibly help solve some cases.
@@butter3754 same that made me uncomfortable, I think in Kendall's more recent videos she has matured a lot but watching these earlier ones can be a bit disconcerting
@@TheEroina I know, but she is putting so much time in these videos, and (for example) PewDiePie got 100 000 000 subscribers, for literally looking at reddit and this stuff. (nothing against pewds, just saying 🙂)
In The Netherlands (I’m from there) they once did a study to find out who people trusted most, judging solely from pictures of multiple people’s eyes. Joran van der Sloot had, in the opinion of a large majority, the most “trust-worthy” eyes. I just thought this was really creepy and interesting!
Linn F the bastard is married and have a kid back here in Perú. He killed two woman and somehow someone thought is a.good idea to marry and have a child with him
Just the fact what he did to girls, he's fucking disgusting. What a freak. What I've learned is, you can't really trust people's appearances. He seems like the biggest asshole when I look at him. But remember, people's choices and behaviors are a look into their souls. Also, the eyes. Although his eyes were 'innocent' to the people of Netherlands, his behavior explains him! YOU JUST HAVE TO LEARN A LITTLE ABOUT A PERSON :)
This was NOT a school event at all. It was stupid parents. Seven chaperones for 125 kids. Who lets their child even take a trip like that? That’s like 18 kids per adult. Stupidity.
The Caribbean is dangerous just like everywhere else. If you're a tourist please do not wander off, don't leave with someone you just met. It's sad what happened to this girl. I'm not saying not to go the Caribbean but be aware of your surroundings, just like in the America's, Europe, and etc. be careful.
This isnt the Caribbean, this is for tourist areas. Everywhere, there will be people that want to take advantage of others when they are off guard aka vacation. This isnt the Caribbean, it’s everywhere
Yes. I agree. You should always try to be aware of your surroundings especially in a place you are unfamiliar with. Stay off your phone, if someone is watching you try to get in a very public place and loose them, and stay with a friend always.
My thing is, if people knew joran was known for taking advantage of women, why was he still freely roaming the streets? Edit: not to be mean but why do people keep replying to this from two years ago?? I get it 😭😭 yall answered my question like 30 times
In 2005 I was 15 years old. I grew up about 30 minutes away from Natalee. A high school friend of mine had an older sister who went to school with Natalee. Natalee is the reason I have never left friends alone at a party or gone to places alone without letting people know where I was. Natalee's disappearance was terrifying when it happened and only became more terrifying as the years have gone off. I've always believed that she was sold into sex trafficking, but honestly at this point I hope she hasn't had to endure 12 years of misery. I don't know if her family, community and state will ever have closure. The way I thought about safety changed forever when Natalee disappeared, I will never forget her.
Autumn Bailey sadly it is a high possibility, that she is no longer alive. Also don't think that she was sold into sex slavery, because there has never been any reports of sightings of Natalie. For sure there would be some evidence that she was sold into sex slavery by now. Like in the Amy Bradley case. However there hasn't been.
can we contact you for a small interview? my group is doing a presentation at school about her case and would like to have a friend's side of the story. my email is: ecardenas2@swtjc.edu
I just left a comment about the sex slave theory. Her mother had suspicions Natalie was sold and there was a bit of evidence ...... but I wanted to say I’m so happy to hear a young person is living safer because of Natalie. I’m a sexual assault survivor and a mother of two young girls. I ALWAYS teach them to be safe . Unfortunately not everyone takes the warnings seriously and I’m so happy to know you do.
I was given the rape date drug by someone at a house party my freshman year of college. Luckily, I had really great friends who made sure I made it back to my dorm, but that drug is no joke!!! It made me sick as hell! I slept for 3 days straight.
I was slipped it once when I was 18. I was at a lil house party with my "friends" they dropped me off back at my place in left me on my yard the next day they aim messaged me and said if I went to the police that they would kill me that they had people watching me to make sure I kept my mouth shut (top it off one of them their family was part of the italian mob)
Same, but nobody tried to help. I had no idea what was happening, I just felt extremely sick and thought I had alcohol poisoning, but I couldn’t move. I tried to tell someone I needed help, but I couldn’t get the words out. The last thing I remember is puking and people laughing about how “drunk” I was.
We just got back from Aruba in August and we met a Taxi driver there that was actually head of security in the casino that Natalee had gone to. He said that when she was missing they shut down the island for 2 days (no one could come to the island and no one could leave) and every single person on the island searched for her. He also said that Joran is serving his sentence in Peru and after that has another sentence in Aruba and then when he finishes that he has another sentence to serve in Holland. So he will be locked away for a while. The Taxi driver told us he thinks she was either taken out to sea or was taken to South America/Venezuela and sold into sex trafficking.
If youre hoping for a decent sentence in The Netherlands you can sadly forget about that. They treat prisoners here better than ppl in nursing homes. I hope he never gets delivered back to The Netherlands, he just doesnt deserve it
They didn’t pan out cause they didn’t have evidence. Are you even listening? They can’t charge someone with a murder without evidence. People just be saying anything without using their fucking head
I do remember an interview with Natalie‘s mom early on . She stated she had a high suspicions Natalie was sold into slavery. Natalie‘s mom said she had received a phone call that she believed to be Natalie calling for help months after her disappearance, but the phone was disconnected before she got any good info from the caller. She said it was difficult to understand the caller. Natalie‘s mom said she believed jouron was a part of the sex slave industry before any evidence came out about it. She had some serious mother’s intuition.
alice lynema I don’t think he’s smart enough to be involved in human slavery. He couldn’t even remember what story he had told. Maybe the Dad Vanderpoop but not the kid.
I worked with Natalie's cousin at a child care facility and she says she thinks she's alive still but sold into sex slavery. I just find it weird they didn't find any physical evidence of Natalie. All these years they didn't find anything on her? Its just strange.
Joran has been convicted of murder In Peru and is in prison there. So I assume he did kill her too. Though weirdly he got married and had a daughter...
Ainiewainy Men like him should never be allowed to have experiences that they stole from their victims. Also, how low does someone’s self esteem has to be, to think they deserve a killer as their life partner. 🤮 🤮
Because tons of people falsely confess to crimes... It's not black and white and without a body or some solid evidence? It's just not enough. Sadly criminals and murderers have rights too.
Marie F well, they have rights, but some of the protocols are in place to prevent all the wackos that falsely confess from completely bringing an already slow judicial system to a standstill. Regulations & evidentiary rules are all there to help serve the system & protect people.
Is it just me or is Natalie's friend not a good one? If it were me, I'd make sure I either went along with my friend or made sure somehow that she made it back to the hotel that night. And I definitely wouldn't get on the bus in the morning without her
Naudia Mcdowell she does kind of suck. It's like a rule that when your friend is drunk you don't let them go alone with strange dudes. I wouldn't have gone too, I would have straight up told her a lie to make her not go if I had to.
but at that point he was sort of like the story of “the boy who cried wolf”... he had “confessed” so many times that if at one point he legitimately told the truth everyone was over it and didn’t believe him
That whole "school trip" seemed so loose and not well chaperoned. Like fr? Letting these kids run free in a foreign country with alcohol? Poor girl, what a heartbreaking story.
who did this in a lot of countries when your 18 your completely classed as an adult. I live in Australia and as soon as your 18 your not classed as a kid at all.
She wasn't really a kid. She was 18. I wouldn't blame them having not chaperoned fun for her senseless murder. She was an adult. She could own a gun and go to war if she wanted to in her home country.
As a mom, this absolutely breaks my heart. I cant imagine going to sleep at night and not knowing where my kids are at. This is terrible. Its terrible for any and everyone that has had a loved one go missing.
Why didn’t they all just stick together?! No matter how drunk you y’all should’ve looked after each other like WTF don’t ever trust a stranger like whattt have they learned nothing because I know teens do dumb shit but you still gotta be responsible
Obviously they left her because they thought she was leaving to hook up with him. I mean the friend they interviewed even said when they say the guy they thought he was cute and who would hook up with him.
I personally think the parents should have never let their teens go on this trip wih unlimited access to alcohol. Although its not their fault. But none of hem seemed to know how to look after each other when drunk or stay as a unit. They were so naive
I'm not trying to excuse what happened, (at all, by any means), but I find it frustrating when people try to demonize Aruba/Aruban authorities when talking about this case instead of considering the fact that we don't deal with murder very often (like 1 murder a year is pushing it). Least of all kidnappings or disappearings. So our police don't know how to handle cases like Natalee's (especially not back in '05). We don't have the equipment necessary or the manpower or the training. Also, I was 5 or 6 when this happened and I vividly remember how many companies and businesses closed early one day after she'd just gone missing and Arubans went out to search for her. My mother, my father. It was the first time anything like this has ever happened in Aruba but we closed companies and schools early so we could go search for her (something we've never done for a local going missing). But we did (I think we all felt very guilty and shocked that something like this could happen on our island)(our population was barely pushing 100k in '05). And I'm very sorry we never found her, but we did all a small island at the time could think of doing (which wasn't enough, sadly).
Amberly Lynn same, I remember they closed off my school and gathered all of us to go help search about. My entire classroom was searching near KIA area, and none of us were even 12.
Amberly Lynn I completely agree actually...I think they tried and they spent almost half of their funding for that year on this case. The only thing I didn't understand was closing the case, but I guess they had no more leads or anything. In my opinion, Aruba did the best they could do. People have to remeber that the laws and protocols are different.
@@AmandaVieiraMamaesouCult It was not police connections that helped him. His father was in the process of becoming a judge so he had a very good understanding of the law. This helped him in giving Joran the best advice as to what to do and what not to do. Even better than a lawyer would have been able to give him. That is why Joran never implicated himself further in this case. So they had to let him go because of the lack of evidence
Please make a video about the highway of tears in Canada. A lot of Aboriginal women go missing there by making a video it would really shed light on the topic and possibly help solve some cases.
Chloe i can still see it, i think it was a great way to get Kendall to notice. all of John's comments have 100's of likes, i guess people don't agree with you
I don't understand how people can be so disgusting! I can't believe we live in a century with people like this. How can a person live with the thought that he killed 2 people? How can anyone be so cruel? 28 years is not enough and in 2038 he will be free to kill anyone again. he needs at least 20 more years. He doesn't deserve to see the light anymore and starve to death. Horrible!
Ppl in all times have been EVIL and we live now in a more safe less violent time..so i don't get what you mean. There are ALWAYS gonna be EVIL ppl with a MENTAL disorder where they dont feel shit
Because of Natalee I wouldn’t allow my daughter to go out of the country on her senior trip. Free booze and underage drinking combined with little to no supervision equals far too many opportunities for foul play and fighting for justice in a foreign country is hell. Such a sad case and I can’t imagine what her family has gone through. 🙏🏽
That struck me as odd. What about the other parent and adults responsible for these teenagers? When they grouped up to wait for the shuttle why didn’t the parents take a head count or check the rooms? Also how do go from waiting for food from a street vendor to seeing her in a car? A lot of things don’t connect here. The friends know more then they’re letting on.
Her friends were all thinking , oh no.. Natalee is going to be in trouble for being late... and her roommates knew she never came back, her stuff wasn’t packed... when she missed the 2nd bus they were like oh she’s really in trouble now... and not like danger, they were just thinking she was late... it was only once they were on the plane back that her friends told the chaperones what happened the night before, that she went off with some guy and never came home... great friends 🙄 and I worked at the school she went to... these statements are from those who were there
They have like 7 adults for 124 kids. I mean who’s idea was it to bring that many kids to Aruba with 7 adults. They can’t keep eyes on everybody I understand but it sounds like she got into the car when people were just starting to leave the bar and they thought she was still inside. I really hope one day we will find out the truth. I feel so bad
It just seemed odd to me, that's all I'm saying. I went to trips like this, the one in Poland was the one with the most kids. I know it's hard to keep track of everyone, but I mean... Natalee shared the room with other people, why didn't they get suspicious when they saw her stuff still unpacked and her nowhere to be seen? It's really weird to me.
So incredibly sad! I do not understand why her school friends just let her get in a car with Joran without saying anything? I get that they were all drunk, but seriously? Was no-one semi-coherent enough to comprehend that getting into a car with a stranger is very dangerous? Didn't you say there were adult chaperones on this trip? I am so so confused how no-one was looking out for her, I feel like this could have been prevented.
Exactly! I dont understand why her friends let her wander off on an island she's never been to before. Anywhere is going to be dangerous if you don't know where you are, what you're doing or where you're going.
Exactly! I live in England where the drinking age is 18 and i've been clubbing loads of times, never have I ever been left alone by my friends in a club, even back when I had just started university and I didn't have solid friends yet.
I never let ANY of my friends leave with people they don't know, especially after a night of drinking. I don't care if I'm a cock block. If you guys really want to have sex, you can do it when you're sober. I'm trying to prevent you from, either, making a mistake or getting hurt.
alisha x I think it’s the situation. They’re in a foreign country partying, going to bars and getting drunk. It was probably meant to be a night of fun and craziness. A wild night with spontaneous and crazy memories. Nothing at the time was meant to be serious. I think that the fact that they were in a different country, their guard was down and the whole “nothing will happen”, thoughts occurred. They probably lived very strict lives (She was in AP classes and planning on being a doctor) so they probably wanted a night to let everything loose. That, along with the alcohol. Not saying it was the right decision at all, in fact they should have been completely on guard *because* it was a foreign country. But as someone who loved partying, I can understand the naive mindset that can easily overtake young minds.
Dude that box is so cool!!! I just finished getting my diploma in forensic science, so I'd love to test out my knowledge and also, it just looks so much fun😂😂
Can you do a show on Sheila Labarre. She committed murders in New Hampshire (close to where I live) I thought you would find it fascinated by the fact that she was originally from a town about 1 1/2 hrs for where Natalee Holloway is from and had notes on Natalee in a notebook that the courts used against her in her murder trials for the men she killed.
Knowing I'm already a paranoid person idk why I do this to myself lol I haven't been to bed yet and it's 430 am and my husband wakes up soon for work and I don't want him to leave because now I don't wanna be alone lol I'll just keep our big dogs super close lol
Its so weird seeing a video of her. I'm from her town and went to the same highschool. I grew up hearing about her but it was always as a warning and they never really told us what happened just that she dissapeared and is still missing. They used her in stranger danger assemblys whenever a school trip came up they always warned us about what happened to her and made sure we were always accounted for. Its nice to hear the full story and thank you for bringing light to the case.
@@sharmainetromp5651 Not true… people have been convicted of circumstantial evidence and no body. No DNA evidence or anything. Just circumstantial, it’s very tough to deal with course but it has been done many times. Joran’s family is such a disgusting family

Binge watched. Subscribed. Wish I could do it twice. There isn't enough people out there that genuinely try to help other humans, and you're so genuine. It's refreshing, thank you.
lexi chiancola Same. I don't think I've ever come across someone so vile in my entire life. I'm glad he's rotting in prison, but he deserves much worse. So slimy.
Ok those girls were on some other shit thinking Joran was cute. Edit: this was a little rude of me, I shouldn't have said anything. Attractiveness is all personal preference.
Right? When she showed the pics of him at first I was like really? Why?? he's beat as fuckkkkk and now I'm side eying Kendall in her taste of men because she could do WAAAAAAYYYYYY better for real
uhhhhhh urine?? I don't get it, joran is far from urine xD Although sloot is water, so that could be a connection. But he is a peace of sh*t (not urine) xD
Yes it is. It's all over the news: “They are human, and they are of Caucasian, European descent,” Kolowski told Oxygen.com of the bone fragments, which match the profile of Natalee Holloway, who was Caucasian and of European descent. Kolowski told the website that at least one of the bone fragments discovered is “from a single individual." Kolowski said the DNA that was found is mitochondrial, which only comes from the mother, and takes longer to test than nuclear DNA. Testing will be fully complete in September
I highly doubt that girl's remains would ever be found. Why would those guys bury her in a desert when they could of just thrown her somewhere in the ocean. A body can't last too long in the waters. This is such a twisted, frustrating case.
KENDALL!!! I don't usually ask for requests, but PLEASE PLEAS PLEASE make a video on a fresh case that happened this past weekend in Chicago. KENNEKA JENKINS A 19 YR OLD WAS FOUND IN A HOTEL FREEZER. This hits close to home because I am a Chicago west sider and the entire city has been trying to figure it out. Just search her name on Facebook or twitter. The news media is barely talking about it because to be brutally honest, NOT MANY PEOPLE CARE ABOUT BLACK TEENS. Chicago is violent but for this to happen to a black girl & her be in a freezer is insane. Reminds me of the girl who was found in a water tank of a hotel, except Kenneka's friends were with her at the hotel smh. PLEASE KENDALL LOOK INTO IT.
Yes!!!!!!! I seriously am just blown away by everything that is coming out and even though they released the "video footage " I still don't believe no one else wasnt involved!!!! It's really sad and just insane.... what gets me though is when her mom wanted to see the footage at the hotel when they were looking for her and what not the hotel wouldn't let them!!!! And all of the sudden now that it's been a week they released the footage.
Charity Faith yeah I ain't believe it from the jump sis. Something just isn't right. That shit keeps me up at night so I can only imagine what her family feels.
do a video about santiago maldonado! he is an argentinian boy who went missing and it's rumored that the goberment had to do with it! he's been missing for over a month!
Yeah that felt kinda odd to me. If you were both waiting for food how did she end up in the car? Someone had to come up to you or she would have gone off somewhere to meet someone.
Im starting to see a pattern with these disappearance cases happening in small Islands in the caribbean, so if you ever go to small islands in the middle of the ocean, please be careful. Ive gone to some small islands in the caribbean and definitely see how it could be easy to get away with stuff like this.
theres no reason to go to these islands if you are from the US because the USA has amazing beaches on the mainland. Its a bit pretentious or just so underage kids can drink.
Caligula Longhbottom i wouldn’t even say that. i’m caribbean and the only way you’d be in trouble in any of these islands is if you’re not knowledgeable about the area before you travel there. it’s always smart to look into the safe tourists spots versus the native areas. no offense and being totally honestly, but if you’re a white person who is american ( blond hair blue eyes etc) you are automatically seen as more vulnerable and a target. knowing how naive americans can be, wandering to places that they shouldn’t be. the islands are no more dangerous than any place in america , europe , etc. it’s beautiful there just know what you’re doing.
I'm from Alabama and I remember when I was younger she was on the news because they were searching for her and ever since then I've always wondered was she ever found. now I know this is really sad
I'm from Peru and while watching this video I felt like I've seen him before, and then u said he killed a girl in Peru. I remember how big that story was, it was literally on every news Chanel
frutt I had the same! Im dutch and so is he so it was a big thing back here as well. The dutch pronunciation of names is so different that I warched the whole video before I realuzed that its that scumbag
The case is so insanely well known back home! The thing is, he got such a small sentence in Peru, that it was an embarrassment to watch, it completely exposed the corruption in our legal justice system
Most countries it seems to be 24 hours, unfortunately that’s more than enough time for a victim to disappear into thin air (especially if it’s trafficking related)
i’m watching is in 2022 and my mom just came up and was like “this is the holloway girl” and she said she remembers this case and how scary and impactful it was. so sad
You should do a video on the Irish case of missing person Trevor Deely. Big web sleuth here! Love your crime videos! Just got into Trevor Deely's case and its SUPER interesting. Lots of CCTV footage showing mysterious men following him without hus knowledge... Would love 2 get ur opinions. The CCTV is FASCINATING and SUPER sketchy!!!!
I'm from the Netherlands and this was a huge case here. I was still a teenager back then. The Dutch crime reporter who interviewed Joran van der Sloot has recently been killed in broad daylight.
Kendall before I found you all the other RU-vidrs was really giving me a brain sore because of drama , drama and more drama . I am so glad I found your Chanel because you are uplifting and refreshing to watch and listen too
I’ve been waiting you for months now. My interest started in crime with my grandmother when I was a teenager and that’s when Natalie went missing. She was very into it and I’ve always had her in the back of my mind. Felt my grandmother today when this video was the first one when I opened my RU-vid! You are a great story teller, I love listening to your voice. & you are absolutely gorgeous so I’m glad your not just a podcast. Thanks for being you, especially today 🥰
Has anyone seriously not thought that the fishermen could of been involved??? How can anyone be that sure that no one was there? It's a public place?!? And they would of probably been chatting talking waiting to catch a fish and probably oblivious to people walking by. Idk it just seems suss to me.
I actually went on vacation in Aruba with my family a few months after she went missing and her family was still actively looking for her , I was young but we stayed at the same hotel she did, (my aunt has been going to Aruba/same hotel for the past 20 something years) I actually have met her dad me and my family did, it’s just really heartbreaking what her parents went through its just so sad the whole situation, it’s not fair that her family has never fully gotten closure I really hope that Natalie is at peace 😔🙏 . I hope that justice will be serviced one way or another That guy she was last seen with is an absolute piece of shit truthfully
