They need to get to full release + put in that massive marketing for all platforms! I respect that they make the best game they can before they do all of that tho.
They attracted a demographic they never wanted to serve. There was a budding competitive scene with the assumption that this title is going to be exactly what you stated: arcade style arena FPS. They were complacent with the direction the players were taking it and expecting until they wanted to take control and steer it in their original direction: a live service PVE focused game. This is partly an assumption, but we've learned that most of the team is focused on PVE content, and there's a small group passively working on PVP as of late. They've been making drastic changes like nerfing health regen., nerfing bhopping, etc. to slow the game down to both make it accessible and control the PVE experience. In short, we were expecting a CoD killer, but they're building a Destiny killer.
Interesting. I feel like the multiplayer is still smooth. Ya idk what's going on behind the scenes. I think they're struggling to get it on console for some reason. The standards to get a release on Playstation and Xbox are apparently difficult. We're seeing Xdefiant go through that process too. I think if they could get more players in the game and get some cash flow the game would get the development it needs.
They also introduced a lot of conflicting mechanics and design to the pve. Staggering is the worst thing they added and only made expedition really frustrating, they never adjusted enemy proyectile tracking, the delay between attacks or enemy attack synchronization to take staggering into account. The bhopping nerf was also ridiculous with the level of tracking enemies like adamants have, the bosses and huge enemy swarms like those formed by the crystals boss, or the looong and boring distance between events, the derailing caused by supply drops or the frequent backtracking
to be honest, I love this game. The PvP, PvE aspect. It was just the balancing and servers are for me my most set backs. I still would love to play this.
im on console and actually got a code from the devs for the betas they ran last year and i gotta say i had a blast on this gam, movement was smooth enough that i didnt miss apex and the gunplay way nice and responsive. would recommend, still waiting on the console release tbh, was thinking about the game when youtube suggested this video
Can you please do a video on Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodhunt. It's a vampire battle royale based on the VTM games. It still has a loyal community and it's really fun to play with friends. The reason why this game failed was because it had a failed launch due to Sharkmob forcing an early launch when the game wasn't polished. Today the bugs are fixed and it's crossplay with PS5.
Ive have shatterline for months but i quit playing when i didn't find a songle lobby after 20-30 minutes of queing i really feel bad that yhis game is almost dead and this game was really fun i dont know why people quit this game all we need to keep this game alive is just a single video from major creators like shroud , swagg , timtateman , dkoi , just a single video nothing more
This game is great, is fun and diverse wich I love. But they need to drop it to full release, add more agents and get servers on LATAM. I play from Mexico and most of the time my ping is decent, but from time to time i get 140 and it's unplayable. I swear LATAM would love this game.
Ya im not sure what the hold up is. They're slowing rolling out content but the game needs more players. That's why I really think they need console support
I know I really like the game. Feels like it's holding itself back though. Have you tried ironsight? It's also a solid game but it's MnK only. Here's a video I made about it ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-kbW_wQhSeU0.htmlsi=16s6mxWkckQcRLTG
just telling my story .. 5 am .. rdy to sleep after playing dungeons and dragons online all night.. remembered cloud gaming, downloaded geforce now.. saw a free2play, scifi shooter .. gave it a try ... now a year later. never played dungeons and dragons online again (did 7 years) and collected 1k hours on shatterline.. best shooter ever. both pve / pvp .. to bad there are almost no players anymore
It's a shame they don't have more marketing. lost almost all of it's players to Xdefiant. and lack of console support excludes the game from a large number of players. It's sad because the game is great.
Another reason is that cheaters exist undisturbed coupled with the low player count is discouraging new players from sticking to it and veterans returning to it
True. But I'll say 2 things. 1. This game is less finished than CSGO. 2 the player base this game is trying to attract is used to new stuff like every week
Modern warfare 2 (2009) is an embarrassment of a game. And sledgehammer had to clean up all the mistakes that infinity ward made for MW3. History is repeating itself
i love shatterline and i still do but i quit it along time ago because it was impossible to find a match, game is literally unplayable 10+ minutes searching for 1 match ? nah im good
@@CaffreyPlays comparison video u could forget shatterline since it’s not on console and replace it with warface see which f2p shooter is “the best” outta all
@@capolean2902 I actually did a whole free to play fps frames video but half of them are steam only. Ironsight and Shatterline both need console and crossplay support imo
It is too laggy for me, I can play Rainbow Six Siege smoothly 100-120fps and Apex 60-70ish with my very old war machine G4600 + RX570, but when I boot this up its struggling to even survive in 1 match. Too bad, it was very good premise, the idea itself wasnt original but it was very fun.
@@CaffreyPlays I personally don’t like BR and on top of that I don’t see it competing with the titles already out there if they go this route. Just my opinion
I PvE main i quit since the health regan update cuz random ppl cannot match same skill as mine and always carry to the end and hating on extraction cowards
I don't think so. The game just doesn't have much awareness. It's core gameplay is pretty solid. Better than how Halo infinite launched. But only being on pc is really holding it back.
controller support is miserable. thats what happend to this game. if they fixed it they would have gold. 80% of arena fps are controller players. so you take that market out of it you dont have a title that can thrive
I don't think it's 80 percent but it's definitely a sizable amount. I thought the controller support was fine, especially with how strong aim assist was. The main issue is that there is no console support for the game
@CaffreyPlays aim assist being strong don't mean it's good... actually if it's too strong it's worse then having no aim assist. This game has too much input lag for controllers and the deadzones don't feel right on controller at all
Wow 😮 a Multiplayer FPS similar to CoD that is only on PC hmmm 🤔 wonder why it isn't growing 😅 game looks ight but lack of new content, the way the game looks and the fact this isn't on Console definitely is why this game isn't doing well
@@CaffreyPlays although I don't think xdefiant is developed to nearly comparable level. Starting from maps, mechanics movement and ending at abilities.
