The creator of the show made a show years before called Storm Hawks which had a very similar concept, except instead of slugs, they used crystals. I found this out because I thought the concept and art style seemed really similar and to my surprised they were made by the same people. And I honestly think the plot and characters were cooler, a little darker, with more mystery. Storm Hawks got cancelled on a huge cliffhanger so I hope the success of slugterra made them consider bringing it back.

It's kind of sad that one of the best villains I've seen in media is trapped within only two movies (and the second he wasn't that good), and wasn't give more screen time. I'm talking about "The Goon". That thing was terrifying in the first movie he appeared (Ghoul from beyond) and I loved every second he was on screen. Plus his voice gave me creepy vibes all the time. Whoever voiced that thing, he did a great job.

I actually loved this show so much when I was a kid. I rewatched it very recently and was reminded of how brilliant it was, then decided to rewatch it again! I really really wish it would come back, because there is so much potential for future episodes. Wish there was more of a fan base!!

This show was my childhood, it's seriously one of the most underrated cartoons out there. It's unfortunate that nobody other than old hardcore fans know it exists, it deserves more recognition! EDIT: Now that I think about it, this show really reminds me of JoJo's Bizzare Adventure. The nature of the slugs and their use in fights are much more like stands then pokemon, and the main group reminds me of the seasonal JoJo crew.

Growing up in a third world country, I remember this being a hit with my friends and I, even though we only managed to watch the first season or two. We thought that every “western” show was as batsh*t as the Disney XD ones. Imagine my disappointment when I searched it up a couple of years ago and found out I can’t watch the rest anywhere. If I remember Eli's mother abandoned him after his Dad disappeared. So from my understanding he never really had anyone left on the surface, he didn't have friends or anything from what I know.

I recently remembered this show exist and I have been rewatching it. It is a hidden masterpiece. Honestly I thought that when I rewatched it, it would be really cheesy and I would die from secondhand embarrassment watching it, but it so far has been great. Way more like Star Wars the Clone Wars or Avatar the Last Airbender with genuinely interesting stories and cool animation and not super cheesy dialog.

The sound of slugs transforming still roams around my brain to this day.

So it wasn’t a dream... Edit: I literally thought it was a dream because NO ONE was talking about it not a mention. Shows like this always get the talk of the town.

I watched this show when I was young, me and my friends tried digging to slugterra world.

A thing Slugterra also had going for it was the fact that Eli and Trixie’s friendship is never, ever (afaik) made out to be a future romance or anything like that, they’re just friends, and that was pretty refereshing to see.

A world where people make friends with living ammo is a world Mista can live in without getting weird looks.

I remember as a kid i really got so sad when they suddenly stopped airing when only 4-5 episodes were left in India. But god's grace, after some week they were aired.. Was quite a good show

Oh my god, I thought everyone forgot this show. Like, this has the feeling of like if 2K made a Borderlands cartoon. The punchy comic book style action, the way the settings and characters are designed, it just makes me feel like I'm on a alien world like Pandora rather than deep underground on Earth.

I'm so sad. Slugterra had so much potential! The concept of it was pretty good. They could have really explored so much more!!! I heard that they used 3D animation? But it was still really fluent and unique with its own charm imo. It was really one of my favourite childhood shows....Even though it may have been targetted towards children,I think it is a really good show for teens as well. I really enjoyed the worldbuilding of exploring the different caverns and slugs....Collecting them like Pokemon. Still so sad that it is discontinued :( but at least glad that some people remember this gem

This show had so much potential. It was far from perfect but it was one of my favorite shows. The action, Pronto’s comedic character, and the story-every single element hyped me to the max! I’m sad that the show ended without getting any closure with Eli and Tad.

Ah yes the 3rd in the Canadian Nerd Corp trilogy of long dead franchises. Dragon Booster, Skyhawks and Slugterra. (The first of which I see absent from your videos... good thing I did a 20+ minute review of Dragon Booster for posterity 😉 ) Just remember, Dragon Booster was among the first series by Nerd Corp (ergo, without it, they wouldn’t have made Skyhawks or Slugterra... seriously, these guys ability to create slick creatures is nothing short of astounding! 🤩) and it even Won a Gemini award for best animated series in 2003.

In Australia they played it on the main kids channel and I was OBSESSED fast food place had a slugterra toys and I ate there every time I could to collect them. I made my own blasters and slugs etc. I also played the mobile app… and Bc I was a little idiot of a child my sister showed me I could buy slugs and money in the game. Mum was not happy… but anyway very cool show I loved the art style and idea and story. It didn’t get what it deserved and I would help u bring it back. 10/10.

If anyone is curious on how the Slugs work in the show here's how it works. You put a slug in a small, clear, capsule and load it in the gun. After firing it, and it reaches over 100kpm, it transforms and attacks either an opponets slug or the "Slinger". Certian types slugs can combine powers in a fusion shot, but can only be used once and a special dual capsule, that ironically only the main protagonist has, is require pull it off. If a certian type of slug reaches 200kpm, and you NEED an attachment or your gun will break, it will gain a new form and ability. Later on in the show, all the main characters and villans will recive this upgrade. There is also a special type of Gun that Dr. Black uses that is a Gattiling gun, and fires dark versions of the slugs that he uses in the show. If you already know about this show and how it works, I am sorry for wasting your time. If you didn't, I'm sorry for ruining the show for you.

Fun Fact: Slugterra - WildBrain just got to 1.22 million subscribers in 2022. So its popular And it has more views then befor. That means that the show is not over, We still have people watching it! So it might continue because the views says it all And the subscriber count.
