I have to say this. I bought a HD from SRK and out of no where I ended up with major back surgery, almost 8 months ago and still recovering. Needless to say he is a man of his word. The bike ended up needing a bunch of work that we had no idea it needed and I was in no shape to ride. He bought the bike back with no issues. Hopefully he will be back up and running when I’m up and running. Yes I would do business with him again! 100%

I totally agree with you. I too was involved in a hit-and-run on my Harley Davidson Road glide and ended up having two back surgeries. It was a hit-and-run and they could not find the person who did it I ended up paying for all of the procedures out of pocket. I ended up having to sell my motorcycle back to the dealership where I bought it and lost a ton of money. If Sean decides not to make any more videos I am 100% behind him because he is an amazing young man. Thank you for your comment !!!!

Lately I am telling people to become an electrician. You just get a $50 trainee card with the state. Then you begin working immediately and in 4 years you make $40 an hour base pay, plus $20 in insurance benefits, for about $60 an hour overall wages. Or you can be a "pipe fitter" and it's less dangerous, but you have to work with water pipes and welding and soldering and brazing. Or you can be a low voltage electrician which is easier, but pays a bit less, and it's a great career too. The trades give you a permanent career, after 4 years you get a license, and you can work anywhere.

This was at Del Amo Powersports in Redondo, CA and this was after I shopped all of the dealerships in a 100 mile radius. I was quoted the same prices (within about $120) at all of the dealerships. Used bikes are a gamble and sold as is, just like used cars. If someone puts 11,000 miles on their bike and it has a failure its not your fault and you should not buy it back. You can’t sustain business like that. You offer your customers a warranty and if they turn it down let them know the bike is as is. Encourage them to have an independent mechanic check it out.

Also the lady with the 11,000 mile Harley. I would have never bought it back. Maybe with it discounted enough where I can fix it and resell. Alot can happen in 11,000 miles and if it made it that far out if my hands then it was a good deal. She probably never changed the oil or drove the crap of of it.

I have watched his vids on Facebook since day one. I would like to say I am a pretty good judge of character. I would also like to say that if SRK Cycles sold new bikes I would not have hesitated to buy my 2021 Harley Triglide from him. I do not know him personally but he seems to be a straight shooter and very good person. In a way I’m jellous because he is doing something he loves to do and when you choose to do something you love to do, it reflects on outcome of, in his case, his business. I worked at a mundane manufacturing papper mill for 33 years. I started when I was 19. I am now 53 and out of a job because the mill closed and moved to France. My point here is I was miserable for 33 years, have almost nothing to show for it. Shaun has the best attitude even though of this hiccup. I’m sure he will get back to doing what he likes to do. Best of luck and oh waiting on more vids with the restoration of the old Harley…

Placing responsibility in your customers is a must. No business succeeds with a full on refund at demand. Customers can be maid whole again by offering to compromise on a solution.Listen to your customers with care and patients, many shops will not even do that. You will be ahead already. Your employees are not your friends and while having a good relationship with them they should be used to fix mechanical issues accurately and on time. Discounting parts and sometimes free labor is your agreement but your employees need not know everything about your business or agreements with customers. Having a service garage is important and expensive. bringing in other paid work is a must. Location, Location, Location. Picking a place with easy access and high visibility helps. I drove to our local dump on a county road. Along the way there is a motorcycle shop with a hundred bikes and 4wheelers all around the building. I stopped by on the way home. None of those bikes belong to the owner. they were all in for repair or service. Expect to go through employees on a regular basis. You need hard workers who help you grow your business and make a living for them and you.

Shit, I'm sorry to hear this, man. When I was in the process of finding a new bike, I found this channel and your video's and test rides helped a lot. After I got my new bike (not from you, since I live on the other side of the planet), I just stuck around for the fun video's. Good luck, man. I wish you all the best in your future endeavors and I hope the next incarnation will be a smashing success. Got any other children who's initials you could use? These are strange times. But the weird thing is, here on the other side of this beautiful globe, motorcycle businesses are thriving due to the pandemic, since it's now the better and healthier way of transportation, or having a good time with friends. I'm sorry it didn't work out that way for you.
