In legends the Empire split into many smaller factions lead by warlords usually generals and admirals. Grand Admiral Thrawn would end up forming the largest fleet combined with 2 other imperial admirals and a general under his command. His group would actually very nearly destroy the New Republic but he was assassinated by his body guard after he found out the imperials were poisoning his planet. Imperial remnants were still around after Thrawns death but would never really recover from the loss of Thrawn especially since he was well beloved by the soldiers. In Canon most of what this guy said is correct however. The Imperials acted on a operation that is used after Palpatine dies. Operation Cinder was were many imperial friendly and non friendly worlds were destroyed with only important people being evacuated like Generals or engineers. After the defeat on Jakku all major operations were pretty much stopped there and that wasn't the end for them yet. A select couple of selected groups of imperial remnants were chosen to go out into the unknown regions. Grand Admiral Thrawns work and navigations were used to navigate into the unknown regions. They also had a guide. These remnants eventually became the First Order but before that for years they'd kidnap children all over the outer rim to join their ranks. Grand Admiral Thrawn is also still alive somewhere in the unknown regions possibly back with the Chiss Ascendancy.

I really want a Star Wars movie with a Stormtrooper as the main character, no heroics, no romance, just a soldier that is trying to survive in a very destructive war. Like a 'Band of Brothers' style movie, or 'Saving private Ryan'

@@alkohnest Dude, that's the whole point of having a Republic! Redundant chain of command. If the US president was killed then VP is the leader, if they're killed the Speaker of the house and so on. Palpatine centralized all power and decision making through him. Without him it created a power vacuum that was tried to be filled by various Imperial leaders causing unmaintainable fractures throughout the organization of the Empire.
I want a Star Wars series that is just Stormtroopers trying to stay alive after the Empire fell. Show us their human side and how desperate they were until eventually joining the Imperial Remnants like Moff Gideons forces. Like I want more moments like that episode in Mandalorian Season 2 when the stormtroopers cheer and are actually competent soldiers.
Unfortunately we will never get it since our current fanbase and creators are run by authoritarian lefties that ironically act very tyrannical yet have the audacity to question anyone’s morals for liking a fictional faction like the empire in a fantasy franchise like Star Wars (that’s how insane these people have become) all because we are tired of rebel alliance stories or seeing the empire being the antagonists in everything which makes the story 100% predictable.
Until the heros turned on Easy mode and dropped dozens of Stormtroopers. Almost makes the Mando unwatchable after a a couple of rewatches. Especially when bo katan and her pals just aimbot their way through Gideons cruiser. There's no real sense of danger for the main characters when they never take cover and the only reason is that they " are just that good" when all of the troopers behave like level 1 bots
@@uniform6-1 yeah that does suck. Sure it is epic but these are supposed to be trained soldiers, and in legends they were actually competent soldiers most of the time. Hell they were even deadly when Thrawn was leading them in legends.
@@uniform6-1 one thing I actually really liked from The Mandalorian was the threat of the droids and when Luke wiped them out, it took me back a moment to the prequels and remembering how the droids were basically lightsaber fodder. It gave me a new appreciation for how powerful the droids probably were against normal people and the impact of the Jedi joining the fight
A series on the Imperial Army would be amazing because it would be from the perspective of the army personnel and the stormtrooper corps. The tension among the ranks would be tense.
Shitting/pissing oneself is a pretty common reaction to the first combat experience. It is a flight reflex thing. And of course the muscle relaxation after death, which has a similar effect. So yes.

What's crazy is the clones had chips that forced them to go against everyone else while the storm troopers were just regular people without chips in thier brains deciding to do these messed up things. If it was the clones that were still devoted I would hope people would try to undo the chips and help them over putting them down because they can't help themselves.
Yes, because teenage boys always enlist and go off to the military because they just want to murder and pillage and committ crimes against humanity as soon as possible. Well known fact. It has nothing to do with boredom and eagerness to be seen as an adult, and the flashy uniforms and respect people grant to those in uniform, or the glorified tales of combat or the praise and thanks people shower on the veterans, nothing like that. And when they enlist they totally do terrible things voluntarily, it has nothing to do with being broken and put under discipline and threatened with dire punishments if you fail your orders, fail to kill. Nothing to do with being sent to a place where you are surrounded by death, afraid to die every day, see your friends dying around you, horribly maimed and screaming, casual death everywhere, the smell of rotting corpses in your hair and skin, nightmares about the violence and guts and fragments of skin and bone. All of that has nothing to do with soldiers doing "inhuman" things, totally unrelated, seems clear to me that they just were all psychos who wanted to do terrible things and they should probably be punished even more after it's all over for the things they did in the depths of their despair and terror when it seemed like the whole world was just death and no one would survive the apocalypse that was happening to them. At least the ones in the loosing side, we will pretend the winners were all heroes and martyrs to do help encourage the next crop of recryuy

It’s actually kinda sad that the Rebellion had no infrastructure for the veterans who didn’t want to be in the empire and did it for the money, but were still left jobless afterwards.
I wonder what's going on in other galaxies in the star wars universe if there's like similar stuff going on like another galaxy at war or another galaxy where everyone can use the force due to selective breeding overtime and massive lightsaber wars. Or like a galaxy of peace or a galaxy where technology is so advanced that the star wars galaxy is like monkeys to them.

In Legends, 150 years after Endor, the Empire is reformed as the Fel Empire, led by Emperor Roan Fel, who happens to be Han and Leia's descendant. He's also a good guy who reclaimed most of the Empire's former territories until the Sith overthrew him which resulted in another civil war.
What about the new “Phase Zero” Dark Trooper that showed up in the Star Wars: Battlefront games? Those new versions were old Clone Troopers who had been modified with cybernetic parts to make them more machine than men.
We really need a videogame on the new Republic. Seeing a smaller but once again effective Jedi council and playing as Luke Skywalker's son would be fun.

They lost their humanity when they joined with the Empire. They fought for a government that was responsible for the deaths of billions. They deserve no pity nor mercy.
I think the main problem with your idea is that almost all of the empires government,shipyards,industry, and military was located in the core and i dont think falling back to the outer rim would be viable considering the xenophobia of the empire
I also love how Legends covered the fall of the Empire, the splintering into different factions, the New Republic building up its power base, Imperial Fortress Worlds, massive fleets and ships, interesting campaigns and importantly interesting characters and commanders. Even the Dark Empire as flawed as it was, was explained quite well to make it interesting.
The post Endor Galactic Civil war also felt like a massive galactic war similar to the Clone Wars in legends it also got pretty dark and deep. The different story lines and various battles made it another "small" part of the huge expanse of Legends conflicts and events. Even if Legends was a bit of a complicated mess sometimes it had stories and a very detailed timeline spanning thousands of years. It was really like a encyclopedia of Star Wars history and as detailed as studying real life history.
I like how it ended in robot chicken where the one general wanted to take out the rebels, but he eventually gave up after one of his officers said that the emperor died

1) Yea, they constantly miss the heroes, when they were told to let the heroes go by Vader in order to follow the Falcon back to the rebel base. Leia even says their escape was too easy and that the empire let them go. 2) Watch the opening scene of 4. Storm Troopers literally sweep aside the rebels in a defended position through a fatal funnel within seconds and take only minimal casualties. 3) Obi wan even says that the attack on the Jawas was so precise only the storm troopers could have pulled it off. 4) I have actually watched the OT and paid attention to the story. That’s why have this opinion. I didn’t just jump on the bandwagon of “haHa Sturm TroOPers Bad aim”

The plot of the Imperial remnant cells, being led by warlords and their plan to rebuild the Empire is a very cool storyline, that is a gold mine for a star wars political thriller. Not only it makes the rise of the First Order make more sense, it just feels right, narratively speaking.
It would be cool if you linked the artist/source for the art! Definitely recommend doing that in the future as its helpful and takes only a few seconds.
After Battle of Endor, Stormtroopers actually gained more respect and strength. With Imperial Remnant realized they need good soldiers, the thinning STs were put through real training and logical warfare.
The game Star Wars Battlefront 2 (not the remake) made you care so deeply for the clones and the stormtroopers... hearing them talk about losing and then avenging their fallen brothers on the Death Star was so powerful, its still with me today decades later. Disney bought a gold mine, then poured concrete into it and built a market selling dust mined from it. Sure, you might get a Mandalorian (season 1) but you are much more likely to get a The Last Jedi, Rise of Skywalker, or Book of Boba Fett.
Something people forget is that the Empire actually didn’t fall until a little while after the battle of Endor, the Batlle of Jaku is where it all ended.

It’s a shame EA pulled the plug in favor of a different game but didn’t perform well at all. Well the campaign was pretty slow and boring it did unveil some interesting facts about the empire and also explain why there’s so much wreckage on Jaku.

If I buy a game, which I don't anymore, it should be completed. A 60 or 80 dollar game shouldn't be 300 dollars. And then people shill for it and the companies win.
Directly after Sidious' death, there is a theory that they killed themselves for seats in the shuttles while leaving the Death Star because you can hear shots in the background and no rebels were on the Death Star.
What never mada any sense given the size and power of the Imperial Fleet and Army the lose of the Death Star wouldn't have mattered. The Rebels were never powerful enough to face them. I guess that's just Hollywood.

In legends not really and again you missed all the points for example the first/final order is not the empire and fact that new republic was mostly meh was part of the storytelling
So, the Space ISIS forces the law and order, the stable jobs, the “whatever the empire touched, it improved” soldiers to go into hiding while the “New Republic” crumbles, and thousands each year travel to the Imperial Remnant by the Outer Rim. Yeah, LONG LIVE THE IMPERIAL REMNANT (legends version, not that Disney ‘becomes First Order’ crap.

In legends really it's best to think of it like the splintering of the Roman Empire. Different generals(Admirals) took control of different segments of the galaxy and all battled for the title of emperor, this let the now New Republic to get into the fortified galactic core and take the capital everyone wanted. Coruscant, then Palatine returned through clonage and attacked everyone and reunited most of the empire again. Then was killed himself through his sith madness allowing the new republic to stand a chance again at retaking the core and destroying the empire.
