Yes she is very healthy. Her cubs are all grown up and moved to other zoos. She is now enjoying a relaxing life with her partner Booba.

This vlog explanation didn't make me feel better about the handraised cub. The pics made him look unhappy and I'm still wondering if he was sold and/or being used in a lab somewhere. Also wondering why 2 brothers were moved to another enclosure instead of the family staying together.

He wasn't angry, the photos were taken while he was yawning. The zookeepers had the choice between handraising or puting him to sleep.

Often in a zoo setting with the attending vet makes a decision with the members who have the knowledge to take cubs home and rear them to ensure all are getting the proper food and care to survive, the reason being botn in captivity is to increase their numbers so they survive in an environment when released. 😊 3:34
