My 550s are looking better with more wear. I’m seeing a lot of people still wearing these around central London. Also find them more comfortable than dunks because of the insole.
When I wear mine I often get compliments, while I wear shoes like sb dunks or Jordans However, I feel like the 550 has 1 downside. They can be uncomfortable. As in, this varies between color. My red and white pair is comfortable, its better than a Jordan 1 low or a standard Dunk. Closer to a SB Dunk. But my black pair.. absolutely aweful. The toebox feels very weird and folds very weirdly. when moving. I can understand that people that had pairs like my black one, would not be on the market for a second pair when they were worn out. Most sneaker sales are still regular customers, not us with 50 pairs. So if the 1 colorway they get is uncomfortable, they would move on to the next model in their next pair. It is still a very nice looking pair that has room to be dressed up a little.
I just bought a pair lol, maybe I should’ve gotten them earlier. When they were popular I thought they were overrated but then I saw the navy blue ones again and thought they were nice so finally bought them.
I still rock my 550's. Got about 10+ pairs and always have 1 in my rotation. Absolutely love the fact I can pick up any colorway for under retail nowadays. Rock what you like. Forget the hype!! 😎
women ruined them. Whenever women start wearing a shoe, the quality gets crap, because hey only care about it looking good for 2 weeks. They ruined Doc Martens 10 years ago. Now its Sneakers lol.
