They did poor POLLY HOLIDAY (holly holiday on glee in honor of her) a bad turn when they cancelled her spin off so fast! The ratings were good and then they just decided to sweep it out with other shows for an overhaul😢. PROBABLY because it is was 'too white' and southern. They should have let her tweak it and given more time to grow. OF COURSE she didnt want to go back on ALICE afterwards! Duh!
One of the best shows from back in the day. Good clean television fun. Had the privilege of getting some press photos from Polly Holiday’s “Flo” TV series. Both the series are such great Americana entertainment.
Got to see Linda Lavin live twice on Broadway in Diary of Anne Frank with Natalie Portman and Hollywood Arms by Carol Burnett and her daughter Carrie Hamilton. Two great nights in the theatre! I also got to see Polly Holiday in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof with Katheen Turner.
Dave Madden was more famous for his role as ruben, the manager on the partridge family-hence the name of his book. linda lavin was also in the 2019 movie Nancy drew and the hidden stair where she plays a woman supposedly being haunted , leading to nancy's investigation.
Philip McKeon worked on the film Murder in the First which was directed by Marc Rocco who's real life father, Alex Rocco, played the tv dad to Nancy McKeon, Phillips' sister, on the hit tv show Facts of Life.
