Imagine being 17 and your first major gig is Beyoncé’s iconic first solo performance & then being the lead lady in another iconic video with Omarion 🔥🔥🔥
Her saying “it’s nice to not have to hold back for an artist” when talking about the intensity of the dancing. Veryyyy interesting. I imagine now backup dancers are instructed not to dancer better or harder than the artist, so as not to make them look bad. She has a very long career and immense talent, wow!
I thought she means shes happy she can dance with her full potential since it match Omarions. Not that she was told to not outshine the star before but that the choreography were simplified for non dancers or not as skilled as she is
I had the pleasure of taking a few classes with Danielle Polanco. She is undeniably talented and a true lover of dance. Her success is the result of soaking up, mastering, and incorporating EVERYTHING: ballet, jazz, tap, vogue (old and new way), hip hop, crunk, zouk, salsa, bachata, etc. She has a rare range and versatility that you don't get in many teachers. And yes, she's born and bred from the Bronx so she is blunt and honest with her critiques. It's nothing to take personal. It's funny seeing the Azealia Banks clip, because to me they are cut from the same cloth.
Exactly n speaking of Azealia she's a clown 🤡 she goes around talking about ppl including a child just petty n miserable Danielle is still making a name for herself doin better than her
Right... I was shocked because an unvarnished critique of an artistic offering with the acerbic New York snappiness, seems like something Azaelia would have said herself.
Never knew she choreographed 'so excited' by Janet Jackson! I was so in awe of that music video and choreography (still am!) that I repeatedly watched that video right after its release to learn the choreography. She's freaking talented, I initially recognised her from the Step Up 2 movie, but my god this woman has a phenomenal RESUME.
Yes but did you see her on the episode of WNO. She could not take the jokes being laid and made the entire show uncomfortable because some of the jokes were burns on her and she couldn’t take. It was one of the worst episodes out the almost 17 seasons.
You can tell she was being cocky in the step up interview. Also, it speaks on her character the way she acted when Beyonce didn't use her for lemonade. She's amazing but she needs media training.
The step up interview made my smile disappear frfr…in my mind I was like “🥴.. please stop talking and dance” lol… I can only imagine her attitude with Bey if she ever felt slighted 😬
I remember this era when the people “in the background” were just as recognizable as the stars themselves. I don’t know much about what’s going on today.
The problem wasn’t that she had an opinion. It was that she choose to voice it publicly, instead of keeping it to herself. Not everyone needs to hear how you feel.
Yes, but if you express that opinion, then you can't cry about the consequences of it. Consequence is no coincidence. People really want to say anything without considering how it'll affect them and those around them. I'm all for free speech, but accountability is another side of that coin. If you're edgy and saying things out there, then you have to understand that there may be backlash, and you have to be prepared to deal with it.
@@marilyn1984 We’re supposed to listen to the opinion on a complex piece of art like Lemonade from someone who says “more good” that’s probably why you didn’t like it lmaooo
@@marilyn1984 This generation is so quick to cancel people but at the same time cry freedom of speech. Yall cant have it both ways. There is freedom of speech but there is freedom of handing out consequences. Try to publicly say something disparaging about the company you work for and see what happens. I know I cant do that without some harsh consequences.
It’s nice to be living in a generation where we are making more of an effort to give people their flowers. I love dance so it’s nice to see you highlighting their careers. Your content is always great. Blessings!
I'm not giving her anything. Let these Black American males, Italians, Anglos, Jews, Black Caribbean males like those Jamaican males and other obsessive perverts give her those flowers. I owe Hispanics nothing.
She was definitely bitter about not being apart of Lemonade. Sounds like she has a bit of ego too. But she is talented with a great resume. This was a great video!
@@CatACor21. I was actually basing it off the whole video so you can stop it. She may have been full of herself at times, which is expected for someone with her accomplishments.
Exactly, I dont agree with the some of the things the people I work with do but I will never ever publicly give my opinion to interfere with the brand dahling. She wrote a very long opinion which tells me that she felt salty about something.
Can you please do laurieann Gibson. I feel like she doesn’t get any credit. I love her on making the band with her signature “boomkack” for your life 😂
Are you crazy Laurieann always gets credit she is just one of those people who like to stay in the background and doesn’t really care for all the praise she definitely gets her flowers
The fact that you called her “Laurieann Gibson” proves that she is a household name who gets the recognition she already deserves. This video called Danielle Polanco “The Girl in Omarion’s Touch video” lmao 🤣
@@CandieP lol we know that it’s just the new generation need to know who she is that’s all. I seen someone ask who is that. It would be nice to see a video showcasing all her hard work.
Keep it a bean, that Lemonade critique wouldn’t even have happened if the 1hr presentation wasn’t centered around black women… that criticism came from a place. There’s a reason Azealia said what she said, as cooky as she is.
Comical to see so many comments justifying her antics because she’s a fiery nyc Latina…that would’ve been a big no Pam ma’am for my Southern Black self😂😂
Right! We always let these latinas in then they just slap you in the face once they get up. Jlo started a fly girl and on Janet's video and she racist too. Never talks about it neither. Would've been no jlo for Selina if not for blk culture puttin her on.
I've been following Danielle since "Touch" video and it's been fun spotting her on different projects. Her decision to post criticism about Beyonce's "Lemonade" project was so odd. I wonder where that energy was coming from. She seemed to want to make it clear that the project wasn't worth her time. For such a prolific working professional (and past collaborator), it's such an odd decision, I think.
Danielle is definitely talented. BFTV… I really like how you do like mini documentaries on topics other content creators don’t even think about. Really planned out content. I love it.
It's always hilarious when the girls get into one-sided beefs with Beyoncé. They get to sniping and backbiting meanwhile she never responds to the foolishness. Danielle is extremely talented and should definitely be celebrated for her work, but she should've just admitted she felt away about not being included in Lemonade instead of being unprofessional.
@@meandepiphany What are you talking about?? Beyoncé has one of the best reputations in the business. Danielle being pissy about Beyoncé going in a different direction is Danielle's problem.
That album heavily featured Black women. I don't know why she was so upset about that. The one time she's not in a Black person's space she spazzes?? Yeah, she's feeling very entitled.
I love how this channel highlights people we don't often think of but still want to know about. She has pretty much worked with everybody who was big as a performer. So cool.
This chick is DOPE. Her vision, her drive, her longevity in this industry is Outstanding. Great job on this review. I love how she keeps elevating and wish her more and more success.
Imagine someone like Beyoncé having you on her stages everywhere and you wanna talk about her work and not just a minor comment like she really went in for no reason. That’s not a good indication of character.
Danielle is a beast! Touch is iconic and will always be one of the dopest. Her resume is stellar. People grow in time. Keep Dancing! Keep Moving! Keep Rising!
I'm really proud of her! She and I were in middle school together and even back then dance was her life and she was choreographing routines, etc. We attended a specialized school for the Arts.
She’s extremely talented and has had an amazing career only people can dream of wish her all the success in the world! But sometimes loose lips sink ships. I think she learned that the hard way.
Her commentary about lemonade just felt strange. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but you can't critique if you say you turned the video off two minutes in. That's just pure hate... *Update* Sis is just bitter.
Imagine working with Beyoncé and having the nerve to shit talk her work. As far as I know Beyoncé has always stayed true to herself and is kind to the people she collaborates with. Anyways, amazing video as always. Your work is truly on another level and it helps me give names to the faces I’ve seen growing up watching 106 & Park etc.
Yeah, this was such a “immature” and just typical plain old catty behavior. It literally never fails. She knew what she was saying. It was so unnecessary and not needed. It’s not just about her crossing Beyoncé but she crossed professional boundaries.
Dang, I didn’t realize how much I seen her. She was everywhere in the early 2000’s and seems like she still is. you definitely can’t deny her talent! Yes, she has an opinion but considering how long she’s worked with and for Bey I don’t get why she would say Bey is overrated. Like was she overrated when she hired and trusted you to be her choreographer/dancer for years and overrated when you were keke’ing with her like y’all are besties? That just comes across as fake. But that’s hollyweird for ya. Shoot, that’s the world for ya.
She didn't get it (Beyonce's Lemonade album), because it wasn't for her. It was for us (Black women). She really should've just kept her comments to herself smh. Everything isn't made for everyone, and it's just like they say, "if you don't have anything nice to say, say nothing at all." Still, I'm glad she was able to continue working elsewhere, she is a very talented dancer and that dance from Omarion's video was my favorite and definitely inspired me.
Can you do a black choreographer for Black Femininity TV? Like Jamaica? Fatima? Ashley? Black worn always giving Hispanic women their props but if you think on their platforms the do the same. Not never!
EXACTLY!! yet BW praising her! Praising them! Danielle NOT even black!!! She not a black latina...she is a non black/mixed latina (with euro/native american roots) BW CLAIM EVERYONE AND ANYTHING THEN WONDER WHY THOSE WOMEN ARE ERASING US BECOMING THE NEW FACE OF BW SMFH
@MelaninChocolate - Then we complain why we can't get our own "black" opportunities, spaces, men, and roles. They are representing what a black woman is. We are NOT even accepted in their communities due to our skin color, hair and the reminder of little to no privileges, benefits and access in the white society). I would guarantee if this channel was called Feminidad de la Latina Americana or Latina Femininity, you would NEVER a a fully Black American woman or African woman on it. No one wants to claim blackness unless it benefits them. But, this issue is our fault, not theirs. We allowed this.
Agreed. Even though I enjoy seeing this young lady's dance style, I was wondering why she was featured here. Especially since she dissed a black female artist who gave her many job opportunities.
As a kid I practice the TOUCH dance damn near everyday & til this day I still can't dance it right. 😂 But the song & video definitely get me in the mood.
Let me say this Everyone's is entitled to their opinion when it comes to working with Superstar singers and entertainers but there's one thing you can't take away from this girl and that is her Talent and her worth of Talent ! she has not only stay continuously in the industry as a dancer choreographer but also relevant . they're are not many girls in the field of dance who or able to also adapt in the ballroom scene you have to have a lot of talent to be seen in the ballroom ! ! ! I tip my hat off to this girl we love her down she's a great talent in our community and also a great person deep down inside NuFF said mike drop oppoooops
Exactly what you said.. I followed for a while but then stopped cuz she lacks likeability 😬. Her skills and talents are on 1,000🔥 as a dancer she is def one of my top 5 faves but I think that's why Bey picked Ashley over her. I personally think Danielle is a better dancer but her personality can be rude sometimes. You can keep it real without being rude.
She's an amazing dancer and choreographer. I didn't realize how much I saw her throughout her career. The only reason I feel she came at Lemonade was because it was a "Black Women's" moment, versus a Beyoncé's all my ladies style album/project. Azealia Banks got it right though. ✅
Just because she had her own opinion about Beyonce's project doesn't make her a hater, nor did it mean that she wasnt a fan of hers. There were a lot of people who didn't care for it. People are so extra when it comes to someone with a difference of opinion.
I'm so proud of Danielle! I went to middle school with her in coop city. She was a sweetheart and could dance her ass off. I enjoy seeing her on the big screen. To be honest, I am not familiar with the person she became as an adult...heartbreaking because its not what I imagined she would be like. Still so proud of her success - representing the BX. I hope she softens up her approach and opinion since she is on such a public platform. Her craft of dancing should be the focus, but when you say things that are rude or insensitive, people will see that only and it starts to blur the great shit about you. Take heed to the feedback, you're amazing and your resume speaks for itself. But, it should also match what comes out of your mouth and how you say things about people, especially a former employer who indirectly helped advance your career. Good Luck with everything beautiful!! #MS180
Serves her right. Y’all have to learn how to be professional especially in that type of business where your reputation gets you jobs. It’s not about Beyoncé. What she said was disrespectful about someone that gave her a job. She’s lucky she was able to continue booking jobs, because crossing the wrong name in Hollywood could end you.
She's a great dancer and all but a wise person once told me everything in your head need not come out of your mouth" Sometimes discretion is the better part of good common sense.
No one cares enough to stop her from getting jobs. Beyoncé is a human like the rest of us. She changes dancers like she changes her underwear. All she said about her was that people get so hyped up overt her that they never pay attention to see if her work is actually good. That happens alot
@@jasminewinters6533 which is crazy bc Bey work has always been 💯 that’s why she became who she is today n then to say she only watched 2 mins. Of lemonade bc It reminded her of Jumanji and she didn’t finish it seemed like she couldn’t discern true art & the hype of an artist herself lol
That girl ain’t worried about no Beyoncé. She obviously couldn’t cancel her from anything with all the business she went on to achieve after that comment. She clearly knows something in the industry that y’all idol worshippers don’t! Her opinion is her opinion and if she cared enough about working with Beyoncé she would’ve bootlicked! Lemonade was just what she said it was. Horrible!
Ppl love giving latinx ppl passes if they are from nyc. Just something I’ve noticed. That post she wrote was definitely out of bitterness. Lemonade was a beautiful love letter if you watched it in it’s entirety. The first time I watched it I cried. But that’s not here nor there. As another young lady from the Bronx I’m glad to see that she’s thriving.
Just because another female doesnt like one project beyonce does, shovkingly, doesnt make them bitter. She doesnt have to like it if she doesnt like it lol. Thats the entire point of art. Not that deep
Sis! I swear I thought I was the only one who thought about the whereabouts of the most random people. lol I've always wondered what happened to her. And honnnnneeeeeeey (lovely Ti voice) Her performance at the BET awards was fire! Great content as always.
I don't understand why someone isn't allowed to speak their truth unfiltered. Yall put these celebs on a pedestal like they're above having someone publicly dislike them 😑
Facts, celebrity worship is what keeps people blind to constructive criticism of their faves. The yes men that works for them all because they are desperate to be close to a celebrity is what fuels the celeb’s narcissism even more
Beyoncé for some reason is protected half of her shit she literally copied off of people for the older generation. Doesn’t have a inch of originality 😒 she is a great singer and good dancer but I hate when people call her a genius she ain’t no Prince, MJ , Whitney , Mariah those people could Produce and Wright. Beyoncé doesn’t have Album where she truly showed herself . Lemonade only big Bc of the reasoning behind it (the songs are good ofc but her faking like she wrote that ish irritates me) Her music now is bland asf
@@marilyn1984 Nobody ever said she’s MJ, Whitney, prince lmao. In fact all those people you named have ALL said that Beyoncé is an amazing artist and that they love her. You sound so bitter just like that choreographer. You obviously haven’t listened to her last three albums to sit here and say she doesn’t show her “true self”. FYI Beyoncé has written and produced MAJORITY of DESTINY’S CHILDS and HER OWN music
ANYBODY can have an opinion but also no opinion is VOID of criticism.........why can't people have opinions about Danielle's opinion? See how that works???? take it just as good as you DISH IT
I do absolutely love her and most definitely respect her passion and true respect for artistry. No matter who you are if your "artistry" can be better it just can be better. I support her and she has been on my radar since Step Up. I think she was great and everyone i see her in like uh oh there my girl!! She's phenomenal! She don't have to be nobody but her. Thank you for highlighting her she needs more notoriety. Good job!!
I would love to see an in-depth look into Azelia Banks' career. She is so talented, intelligent and funny in addition to being abrasive in her approach. She's said a lot of bad things over the years but she hasn't been afforded a fraction of the grace some of the other girls have...
Azelia Banks deserves all that's been given to her. I don't think I've ever heard her name pop up and it was something positive. Truly a trash human being that should keep her mouth closed, bc her attitude and uncalled for statements overshadow her talent. And deter new listeners from her work.
These comments are proof that some of y’all don’t understand professional edict you don’t publicly criticize who signs your check. Especially in an industry like Hollywood where everyone talks ands it’s easier to get black balled than it is to make it.
@D. MK. right, and it’s not even just about Beyoncé it could be anyone you don’t bite the hand that feeds you it’s that simple. Especially over something so trivial
Everyone is saying how it's okay for Danielle to have an opinion which is obviously CORRECT, but! there's a difference between sharing your opinion and just being downright bitter and going to a whole platform to tweet about it- not only that, but someone that you've literally been working with and who you've been right in their face, then go behind them and just tweet about your "opinion" It's very weird. I'm not saying Beyonce doesn't need critisim or she's perfect lmao but it's very weird to just do that. If you feel that about her album, go to her face and tell her that.. not go tweet about it. lol. ESPECIALLY since you work with her. There's a limit + time and a place as to how far you can go. When you're working with someone you can offer your opinion, but Danielle did it wrong. Sometimes people get too caught in their ego they forget how they're affecting those around them and can do too much.
*Lemonade was a big project & she didn't include her, I would've kept it professional because, it comes off bitter. However, her talent is out of this world & that's why she stayed booked & busy, only 35 and has an extensive career. I hope to see her more in the future, we need more than these TIKTOK dances.*
They like to switch things up and don't use the same people. If this is how she chose to react, it was best to end the business partnership. That's why Beyonce can't be friends with people, you never know who people are
Why are ya'll acting like the person she was criticizing didn't work with her professionally for years? It's not about protecting Beyonce, it's about considering your rapport before you post.
I can only see making negative comments on a public platform about a former employee is due to some sort of falling out. She certainly didn't have to like Lemonade, but to publicly bash it was not called for and unprofessional. There's a difference between "I didn't care for it" and "It's so bad, I can't get passed minute two." Both are true. One is rude.
If you continue to do history of dancers in the scene would love some background on Jamaica Craft, Tanisha Scott, and Fatima Robinson. Legendary choreographers.
Omg I swear I was wondering wtf ever happened to Danielle! Before Aliyah Janelle there was Danielle Polanco! She’s from my city, Bronx, NY, she was one of Beyoncé dancers too back in the early ‘00s! That’s why I love this channel you alwayz highlight the best stories!
@@levelup9547 why did she pick someone else for the role instead of saying no one else was capable? maybe she saw Danielle in this role, it was her choice.
@@meanieeheart4236 That is the op's point. So many Black women do not see themselves as the main girl or deserving of that role so they offer their talents to women of other races. How that is going completely over your head is astounding. The point is that anyone could be capable but she should have considered herself first and so should have Omarion.
That was one of my favorite songs and videos that O' did. They had one of the most memorable BET performances too ( along with Kelly Rowland). Being a dancer is grueling work. Man, Danielle has an impressive resume!! Say what you want to, but D' is direct AND talented. She knows her stuff. Everyone has their own lane. If she can keep up with Omarion, she's bad!!
Rule of thumb in any business…. Never make comments, or express your critiquing opinions about a client or an employer. You are a brand and must protect it at all costs…. It’s okay to keep your opinion to yourself…. Even if it’s some truth to what she said… 😉
I remember seeing her on a lot videos when I was younger. People have to remember with social media that just because you have an opinion you don't have to share it. I wouldn't get online and talk about my job or my manager. Especially if I want to continue working there. I am glad to see she has gotten a lot of jobs after that but this should be a learning lesson.
@@wonderful4life she hasn't worked for Beyonce since then is the lesson. Just like I can be fired from Pepsi for talking about them online but I can still get hired at Coca-Cola. Lesson is don't talk about people you work for or wish to work for online. 🙂
@@forevertearany Obviously she didn't need Beyonce that much. She benefited Beyonce more than Beyonce benefited her.🤷🏾♂️ She critisized a project, not Beyonce as a person & she is entitled to do so.😉
@@wonderful4life the point isn't if she benefitted bey or not or if she's booked and busy. The point is, she didn't even watch past 2mins but had so much criticism to say and even put it onto the internet. Bey had every right to fire her. When you are trying to succeed, you don't need haters and negative energy within your own camp
I love seeing the way dancers feed off each other's energy. Always loved dancing with people who had the same passion I did for dance. You can feel the chemistry without even touching. That's what makes it fun. When you get caught up in the music not realizing the hours that have gone by. Amazing feeling!
I used to see her often. Her family luved in my grandmother's building in the bronx. She's so little. She was also always kind considering us kids would stare at her, star struck lol
I HATE the new intro song!!!!!!!! (I say that with love) it’s not bad, it’s shut the last one was SIGNATURE to your platform!!!!!! Change everything else… go ahead… but PLEASE put the “I WANT YOU BACK! Oh YES” back!!!! 🥺
GENIUSES! It's not about whether or not she can express how she feels, of course she can! It's about her being dumb enough to say it about an employer or potential employer and jeopardize her livelihood!
I would agree. That business is for the young not the old. She should never put that dance bag in jeopardy. She can criticize at the end of her career.
I would say I'm a spiritual person and I dabbled in dance in NYC. I had the privilege of taking class with Danielle and all I can say is her energy is draining. She takes jabs at other teachers and Beyonce in one class. And I took that as a sign that this is not the type of person I want to be around. Snide comments like "I'm not a teacher that hand holds you" sure, then why are you teaching? Or recognize maybe you need to just be teaching advanced levels (it was titled "open" at Peridance). Or another remark like "Beyonce and her unpaid checks". There are plenty of other examples of her social media commentary if you just take a not so deep dive. The comment people will remember how you made them feel just rings true to me everyday when I think of Danielle. I hope she finds peace. One day you can be that girl, the next you're a bitter woman teaching at studio here...and maybe no where. Entertainment is a very fickle industry.
I believe you. she showed her behind and you can feel a certain hostility about her in her interviews that was probably read as "hungry" and "driven" when it was actually abrasive and contentious. thanks for sharing
@@DCamp1271 of course, I think the lesson here isn't just what you say -- it's how you say things. I've seen her even post random stories that made fun of Britney (verbatim: "come to my class to NOT dance like this")...and I'm just like that woman's career can dance circles around you and she clearly has mental health issues. It's just sad. You said it perfectly.
I just want to say, I love your channel so much. Every upload I watch and get excited for because you have so much passion and it's passion for US. I love being black and your channel is a constant reminder our culture is so unique, diverse, and will continue to flourish
Freedom of speech is not immune to Freedom of consequence. Although we are ALL entitled to our opinion- you cannot be surprised or frustrated with the backlash or congratulations you receive from it. When it comes to ANY business- unless you’re being violated or compromised- learn how to “play the game” and keep certain things to yourself.
She’s a legend! I remember a longgggg time ago, Omarion called in to “106 & park” and they asked about Danielle, if she was going on the tour with him and he said “she over here right now” that always made me think they were a couple or that Omarion was infatuated with her. I mean, who wouldn’t be? Lol & I also wanna point out, when Beyoncé said “don’t over choreograph” She looked at Bey like “bitch go head” 😂😂😂 great video!
Thank you for this video. We were wondering how she was doing because of her great dance skills. We're sooooo happy she continues to shine and will continue to do well always. You Go Girl!!!
I’ve had the chance of meeting her in my early dancing days and she’s a great dancer and a good person, I’m always happy to see her thriving, I’m sure she will be apart of much more great projects. 🥰
I’v seen many little girls like her come and go in many industries. One can be talented & have great gifts, however being professional & humble will carry you a long way. She maybe able to land gigs/jobs in the past and/or today, she must remember there are unique young dancers/choreographers who can replace her.
There’s no denying her talent, that’s for sure. She definitely has a gift. But she definitely has an ego & her comments and opinions are a bit unhinged. I used to follow her on Instagram & she has nothing positive to say at ALL in regards to the dance industry. Granted, I understand a lot in the industry has changed for the better & worse but she’s extremely negative. It almost comes off as bitter.
I used to follow her too and stopped because she non stop complains and criticizes. I think she should make peace with whatever things happened that damaged her and heal from them. I think instead of constantly criticizing she should have done like a tell all book or mini film or something.
I have always love to see this woman dance. I used to sometimes watch her more than the person singing that how much I love her dancing. She's amazing.
For her being in so many black spaces on a personal level, it took Beyonces, as I call it, her blackest album lol to want to say something negative about it. When the album is also about police brutality against black people. She should know better. Yeah, that was a shady move.
I'm tired of yall being surprised about these "Boriquas" and other Hispanics SHOWING THEIR RACISM! HOW MANY TIMES HAVE OUR PEOPLE BEEN TOLD TO DROP THEM AND FOCUS ON NEW COHESIVENESS AMONG EACH OTHER? EVEN DEVANTE SWING NEVER WORKED WITH ANY OF THEM.
@@alexw853 I'm definitely not surprised, I just did not know. I tell people myself that poc solidarity is a dream because no one respects us. We for sure need to just to worry about our own. But when it's big money involved with these celebrities it's a lost cause.
That's usually when it comes out. Ppl use black american yes black american culture to rise to fame. When we are exclusive about ourselves the attitudes start
@@NB-nh2sf I wish bp would ignore the attitudes from other ppl and just keep it pushing because that's exactly how other groups move when excluding outsiders from certain things. She's a great dancer, try and figure out why she being highlighted on a black femininity channel when we don't get highlighted on non black channels, maybe because alot of her work was in our culture. Black women I'm waiting for the day when non black women applaud u for being so dope ijs cause yell really good at that🤔
The whole world applauds black women but you are just too stuck in low self esteem and victim mode to see it. How sad that you miss every black woman included, accepted, doing great things because you are on auto pilot in a negative woe is me loop. You are like to many other black folks that are non thinking and stuck in a negative loop that you don't let reality break through. A spirit of rejection is a real thing. I swear. We need to stop wallowing in it, though. All it does is destroy.
She has an impressive resume but the thing she said about Beyoncé’s IMPRESSIVE Visual Album was very much crazy kitchen table talk … she jumped out the window with that one …. Had a parachute but still jumped out the window
I’ve been following her on Ig for a few years. She lost both of her parents in the same year and was in a depression for some time. I think she may be one of the most prolific dancers of our generation…my only critique is that she’s very crass and brazen with some of the things she says and a huge potty mouth. But she’s a Latina from NY so that tends to be their style. But much love to Dani P ❤️
right. Just because youre expressing your opinion doesn't mean you dont have to be a professional about it, esspecially as a public figure yourself. But if you choose not to be a professional, you can do that too. All I ask is to be ready and willing to accept the consequences of such. Sometimes its not what you say, but how you say it. It can give off the wrong impression when you dont moderate your speech. If you cant be bothered to moderate your speech, esspecially on a huge public figure on Beyoncé's level, and her having an army of hard core stans is common knowledge, you cant be surprised by the reaction you get. And what's worse is that no one is persecuting her for the content of the message like she thinks she is. its the impression it leaves thats the problem. And the fact that she didn't get that tells me everything I need to know about her professionalism. Getting brand deals mean nothing as for that. There are successful people who are also void of class in the entertainment industry everywhere. Theres too many for brands to not work with more than a few. Just goes to show that money and success doesn't bring you class. Class is something you have to bring to money and success.
I remember seeing this video documentary for touch on B.E.T when I was in the 4rd grade and now I’m 28 😮💨 time flies 🥺😭😭😭 didn’t realize how much I seen her in the early 2000’s she was everywhere and still is! Sooo talented 😍
OMG! I have actually taken classes with her and had no idea who she was or her resume. I am not a real dancer so I don’t keep up with the industry. She teaches at Broadway Dance Company and PeriDance in NYC. I first found her teaching classes with Aisha Francis who is one my favorite Beyoncé dancers.
My friend took a class with DP pre-COVID at Broadway and she said the same thing others have mentioned: she's rude, off-putting, and condescending - but, an excellent dancer.🤷🏾♀️
@SmartClassySassy1 I went out to LA for my 40th Birthday and took a bunch of classes with her after obsessing for her YT Videos and learning them all at home. She is great. She is sweet too or maybe she just took pity on my because she know I wasn’t trying to be a dancer. I just wanted to move my body like she moved hers. She don’t play with girls trying to be in the industry.
@BluDrop5 I can imagine. I found her to be standoffish but it’s NYC, a lot of people standoffish. But now I know it’s because of her probably perceived self importance.
I could care less about what she said pertaining to Beyoncé, the mere fact that Beyoncé will forever be doing her choreography in videos is Legendary in itself. Danielle is iconic in her own way…she is truly a gem. It’s the GUTS for me! She said what she said because her work spoke for itself….she couldn’t be cancelled. Lemonade wasn’t for everybody but I do think that there is a time and a place to voice yourself…maybe to friends…or to your diary but not on fb. It wasn’t professional at all and that’s where it became horrible….regardless of how she felt about it, she should’ve never let her mouth…or fingers fumble her bag!
I agree 100% while her comments didn’t seem to have an impact on her career at all why risk looking messy or unprofessional? I’m not a Bey stan so her comments don’t bother me but it does make her look unprofessional.
She’s said things against black and gay people. It was couple years back. I followed her and another dancer, Yanis Marshall. He exposed her nasty ways. And the way she handled the confrontation was horrible. The things she said and made fun of. Like him being sexually abused as a child. But also the colorist stuff. Definitely giving vibes of a Hispanic girl looking down on black people. And I loved her as a dancer. Just
@@crushoncorey yes. I followed both dancers closely and they even worked together on many occasions. They had a falling out and when it came out publicly on his page the things she said were horrible. I told her I loved her and was disappointed. She said something rude then her sister tried to argue with me that she can say whatever she want.
