Today we are covering the Story of Billy Cranston, the original blue Ranger from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. This is a topic I have previously covered but since the release of Once and Always, it made sense to make an updated version. Enjoy!

I'm so happy we got to see David Yost back as Billy in Once and Always. Billy's one of my favourite Blue Rangers and PRs, and I consider him the Reed Richards of PRs. David really deserved this.

David actually deserves a public apology from the franchise for how they treated him during his original run on the show cause thry can always lie and say thry privately apologized and not actually done so this way the fans know they apologized to David cause after finding out he was gay it didn’t really effect how I feel about the first 3 seasons cause it didn’t affect him acting on the show and a lot of us fan didn’t know until we were already adults and to me David is a legacy ranger being one of the original American rangers

Billy is one of the most underrated Blue Rangers of the Power Rangers franchise because of his intellect and character development from a nerd to one of the most formidable fighters on the team and became the right hand to Tommy after Jason left for the Peace Conference with Zack and Trini. It’s great to see him back on the screen and would love to see him (alongside Zack, Minh, Adam, & Aisha) team up with the Cosmic Fury Rangers to defeat stronger villains and to help further celebrate the 30th anniversary of the series.

Would've been nice if he were gay, meaning S1 could have had a gay character. We get multiple animal/alien Rangers before we get a gay Ranger. XD pretty sad

@@djgames6481 The character is straight but the actor portraying him is gay. I got nothing against with LGBT representation and at the same time, it’s irrelevant to him being a Power Ranger. There’s already a Power Ranger character in Dino and Cosmic Fury by the name of Izzy who’s a Green Ranger and an open lesbian.

He went to Aquatar to use a special spring which cured him. We saw that at the end of Zeo when he is back to normal but chooses to stay on aquatar

So if you go back and watch Zeo they used a special water to turn him back to his age it was a water from aquatar and he stayed on aquatar for more of the treatment as it restored his age and nullified the effects of the machine he used to age himself up

The one thing that really bothered me about Once & Always is that we don't have more. I was initially somewhat confused as to why they didn't use other powersets available to them such as Zeo or Turbo et cetera but then I realized that it is specifically the MMPR anniversary, not Zeo or Turbo despite the fact that I tend to think of them as part of MMPR because let's face it... up until about halfway through Turbo they basically are.

The one thing I found funny was seeing Zack morph alongside Kat and Rocky. I believe he did meet Rocky but he was long gone by the time Kat came on the scene.

Thank you 🙏 for re- doing and updating This newer version of this awesome video on Billy Cranston he so deserves some recantation which he very seldom ever gets except from you and a few other fans who have done videos of the one and only original Blue Ranger 💙 And i agree David has always been my favorite actor + my favorite character on MMPR all the original 3 seasons of MMPR plus also On Zeo power Rangers . David Yost is still my favorite character and favorite Blue Ranger 💙 of all times.

There are a few other questions Once and Always brings up. Such as how were the original power coins repaired. (Perhaps the crown from Operation Overdrive). Another thing is wouldn't Billy have tried to increase the rangers power in some way too. Perhaps something like a S.W.A.T. mode or battle booster.

I still wanna know what happened to him after the events of zeo like did he become like a new Power Ranger with the Omega Rangers or did he just go back with technology from the planet he was on did he finish high school or did he get a GED or something? Hello Ranger Fans out there. I did asked that under a video already, but since i didn't got any answers i try my luck again: In the Fan Production "Power Rangers Unworthy" there is a Jason, who unified the powers of the Red Mighty Morphin and Zeo Gold Ranger and is called "King Tyranno". Because i really liked the look, i tried to search the internet for it, but couldn't find any information about that specific Ranger. So my question is: Does anyone out there has some informations about him?

Actually come to think of it. Could a zenonizer crystal be incorporated into a system that could power metallic armor indefinitely, and the powers of the green and white power coins divided among the other rangers with Lord Drakken style shields for each.

I think Billy used him intellect to make a device to mix water from the Eternal Falls and turn it into powder he puts into a filter he does not need to replace, thus creating the same type of water and allowing him to age at the same rate as a normal human. After defeating Robo Rita and Minh telling Billy and Zack what she saw when she bonded with the morpher, Billy says he won't give up on looking for Zordon and in Power Rangers Zeo A Season to Remember we see that he may have succeeded as at the end we hear a communicator go off and Tommy and Kat's elder grandson says he's just remembered he has something to take care of. This suggests that he is a Power Ranger and was called by Zordon.

@@amandacarelli1015 Me also and he's t a great example of the perfect nerd and sweetheart combined into a nearly perfect body especially back during mid to late season 2 of the original tv series which is when he started to become a better fighter and basically changed his whole style+ wardrobe. Because as everyone who watched the original series knows during mid to late season 1 is when Jason+ then later Tommy eventually started training Billy to be a better fighter and such . Because mid season 1- early season 2 is when Billy's character started to change little by little. Then around late season 2 into season 3 It was like he did a complete 180 and had the whole package of being extremely smart and became a much better fighter and he got really nice looking. And then all of a sudden Billy had the whole package. 🥰😎👌And that was when I really started liking me some Billy.

I love all the original MMPR but blue was always my least favourite. His character got on my nerves tbh, even as a kid. I don’t care about what the actor has “been through” in real life.

Ah yes the underrated og blue ranger. I feel like the producers did Billy right in the once and always special. And you know what else will do Billy right? Is if someone had enough brain’s to make a power rangers animated series loosely based on the boom studio comics. Seriously what does it take to make it happen. Storm in to Hasbro and make a presentation of why it works

Billy... my favorite of the team... the character and actor inspired me in so many ways from standing up to my bullies to learning martial arts and coming out in my high school that I am in the autism spectrum. Him representing my favorite dinosaur and spirit animal (Triceratops) was and still is very symbolic and I even got the chance to meet him in 2015. A wish come true... Affirmative! 🔹️🔷️🔹️🦏
