After binging through every piece of released material, books, comics, etc.: Regarding the state of the UNSC: the Infinity was in scavenge mode. Their crew complement was minimal (thousands below standard), and supplies were thin. The weapons in game are all older variants of the AR and BR, and the Commando is an Insurrection-era weapon. (It's kind of strange that the Infinity is using an Army model rifle instead of a Navy/Marine one, as evidenced by the naming conventions established in prior canon and games. For an example: the UNSC Army called their rifle the MA37 for "Misriah Armory, field date 2437", while the UNSC Marines and Navy fielded the *same exact rifle* and called it the MA5--later replacing it for the letter variants. Military procurement is a messy, bureaucratic nightmare in the real world and has to be even worse in Halo due to the fact that they're spread over planets, ships, and stations.) The Infinity was also very short on Spartan personnel as well.
I don’t but that the pride and last hope of humanity had a scrap put together crew to go and face down their most dangerous opponent. That’s beyond dumb and beyond dumb writing.
I dont think reinforcements will be coming anytime soon because if you play the academy tutorial mission the spartan commander will say that both the infinity and the ring completely vanished without a trace so its probably gonna be a long while before they're found again

@D. Yeah, it was confirmed by a dev that they cut out 2/3 of the campaign because they ran out of time. They had a 6 year dev cycle, but it was effectively only 2 years of actual work because 343 is the most incompetent studio in gaming.

They didn't qc the remasters that GSG made at all, but when rockstar themselves make a game, it works, and is a complete package. 343 has had the Halo licence for a decade and have released 4 shit games now. Something interesting about the Created is that their level of influence is described as wide, but not tall, which contrasts with the Covenant and their vertical scaling of control (i.e. the glassing of planets).

@@slimerewoods5766 close if we use the same terminology from MTG.in MTG, wide means you can block and cover a lot, but doeant have much weight and can be crushed easily, and tall means you dont have much coverage, but what your do have, can handle whatever gets thrown at it. Like you said, wide most likely means a wide field of influencr and control, bit not tall, as in, an AI can really only blow up a base, not a planet. The AI might control the tech, but they cant do much with it overall, compared top the covenant, who didnt have access to much influence or control of humanity, but what little they could, they would throw all their weight to keep it, or completely annihilate it for himan use.
@@unsureonagt3742 Basically think of it like this. The Covenant have a very vertical level of influence. Whenever they found a new species, they assimilated them, and once humanity was found, the colonies were glassed. Basically controlling everything they could and destroying what they could not. The Created, however, have a horizontal influence on the known galaxy. The Created could potentially appear anywhere, but they are not omniscient. In Shadows of Reach, both sides are wary of causing too much ruckus, lest a Guardian appear and force both factions into hiding.
Wish that halo infinite had more to do with rescuing marines and stuff. Always just felt like we were on the Backfoot and already beaten despite me beating in the banisheds face.
Yeah same, I wish they had more variety of FOBs and the purple bases were actually able to be fully captured and slowly repopulated. Insane that out of hundreds of Spartans on the Infinity, we only came across a handful of them and all dead. Not really realistic at all. FOB defense missions would be AMAZING! Imagine rescuing marines, ODST and Spartans. Stationing them at your FOBs and having them defend it (Fallout 4 style) I feel like this implemented into co-op would be amazing. Have you and your friends defending multiple bases from banished attacks at the same time.
One detail I liked was that the more you do, the more the Grunt Propaganda Officer sinks into depression. By the time you beat the game, the Grunt officer laments you killed ALL of their leadership, best warriors, lieutenants, and destroyed their logisitics. He even cracks open the equivalent of vintage Grunt wine, no longer to celebrate, but to get shitfaced as he's talking to doomed morons that couldn't stop the Chief.
I think we are going to find out in upcoming DLC WTF happened to the Infinity and UNSC in general. Likely we will get a DLC that includes Lasky and Halsey fate with the Infinity. Personally I am expecting a Swords of Sanghelios DLC soon. Mostly because it would seem silly that the Infinity would go alone on a mission that could end the Cortana Threat once and for all. Plus the camera angles don't really show the rest of the battle at the opening cinematic. So I am expecting friendly Elites to come into play either we rescue or team up as capture points on Zeta Halo and form the allied front against the Banished and maybe later Endless. BIG IF might be that we will get a separate campaign with Thel 'Vadam and Rtas 'Vadum that occurs more or less around the same time as Master Chief's and ends with reuniting with each other... yeah that last one is wishful thinking but it was an fun idea.
I don't think Infinity is actually destroyed just severely damaged and crashed on Zeta. There it is possible that it could actually be fully repaired if there are Forerunner Constructors on Zeta which is a safe bet. Though, I would really like to see the Eternity show up in a "surprise I was completed" badass entrance way.
I hope this happens especially a dlc with the arbiter and rtas vadum I’ve been wanting to see rtas back for the longest. And having the arbiter back is always a win 💪
I don’t expect to see the elites or SoS in DLC for at least 2 years, I’m expecting 343 to drop playable elites on a DLC that includes Arbiter and the SoS but seeing as playable elites are far from reach atm then it’s going to be a while
UNSC Infinity will be rescued and repaired in Halo wars 3 and we will be teased with the UNSC Forever that is 25 Kilometers long and carries 3 infinity class ships that it can launch from it's underside. Its MAC guns are so big that it uses Frigates as rounds and it has a Spartan 5 training ground/Gelato Cafe.
Or they're just giving us the baseline information we need now in order or grow upon it later. They're pretty much trying to revamp the franchise after halo 4 and 5 without retconing them. They're giving us just as much information as chief knows. All we know is the current situation and we will know more as chief finds it out. If they just threw a ton of information at us all at once we'd be just as confused as we were with halo 4 and especially 5. They pretty much removed Cortana by deleting her, therefor getting rid of that story arc. And now they're beginning to build a new story with the banished and the endless. Sure it's aggravating not knowing what happened to the infinity or the rest of the crew, but I'm sure we will know in time.
@@elmichellangelo I never said we were. And halo CE was the beginning of the story, it didn't give us much information about the lore of halo, just enough to progress the current story. Same as halo infinite. And halo 2 and 3 further build upon the lore. Think of halo infinite as the modern rendition of halo CE, except now we have 20 years of story and lore to help us fill in the blanks. If halo infinite overloaded us with information like halo 4 and 5 did, we'd be confused as to what was going on. It gives us just enough Info for us to jump back into the boots of chief and fight the banished. It's a soft reboot, not so much a direct sequel to halos 4 and 5. It's creating a new story without cortana or the didact, but still acknowledging that those events did happen.
Halo 4 didn't really have that problem tho, you can figure out what's going on without reading the books. H5 and infinite tho you don't know what the fuck is going on unless you read books

Upgraded where and how? Spirit of fire showing up, certainly. If anders can figure out how to open a portal from the ark to any section of the halo array, then it's possible.

There was a recording stating that Lasky was sent off in a lifeboat. Whether he was recovered was unsaid. Who knows. Maybe those lifeboats are slipspace capable.

The top of the line Infinity and her escort couldn't handle the Banished fleet, Spirit was outdated from the get-go of Halo Wars 1, add in countless engagements without the opportunity for thorough drydock repairs, no resupplies in God knows how long... She'd be toast.
If the Infinity was worfed, the Spirit of Fire, a badly damaged support ship without a slipspace drive and massive casualties from both the Ark and Shield World 0459, has no chance.
After finding out what happened to the UNSC, between the Created and the Banished, does anyone else feel a parallel between this to what happened with the Forerunners and the Flood? Like, the Forerunners imposed an imperial piece upon the galaxy with their Guardians, keeping their protectorates weak and unable to gain any strength that would threaten the Forerunners' hold on the galaxy. Because of this, when the Flood showed up, all these different species that the Forerunners had kept safe were left totally vulnerable, as they couldn't fight back against the Flood like ancient humanity had.
@@thegamerboy1000 Humanity was still nowhere as strong as the Forerunners. 20,000 planets at most vs 3,000,000? Nah. The Forerunners at the beginning stages of their war with Humanity took Earth back then. They also basically turned off slipsace for Humanity cutting off many worlds and systems from each other (which the Flood later did to the Forerunners funnily enough). Humanity were also allied with the Ancient Prophets. Even if they fought one front Humanity would not be able to change their outcome though it is impressive they fought two.
Kinda happens when they try to reboot the series 2/3rds of the way into a story arc. Should have been reclaiming Ancient Human tech, the Mantle, and facing the final test of the Precursors. Instead, we got Covenant 3.0, a generic Halo ring, and minium plot.
This. They completely retconned the lore after the 3/Reach, then changed the direction after ever new game. The writers suck. I used to be a huge fan of halo lore but I've completely lost interest. Didn't even consider getting into infinite. Don't care.
One thing that's infuriated me about the Halo sequels is that if you just play the games, you get the skeleton of a story and often don't know what the hell is going on. When I played Halo 4, I found myself asking: Who are these new Covenant? Why are they discussed as though they are established characters with at least one game behind them? What are they doing here? Why did the Forerunners turn humans into automatons? And if you want the full story, you have to read all the comics and buy all the books. That, to me, is not only indicative of poor storytelling in that you had to have to provide context in a different form of media, but also shows a different yet no less insidious form of monetizing the story. I know that people are going to point out that this has been happening since Halo was in it's infancy ('First Strike' answering the question of how Chief, Cortana and Johnson escaped Halo), but I will counter with the fact that those books were **not necessary** to have full comprehension of the story; they were an enrichment, not an essential. That has not been my experience with the sequels. In addition, there were not several storytelling avenues that needed to be pursued in order to have all the relevant context. That is why I have started to drift away from Halo, because it pains me to see what it's become: A janky, seemingly-unfinished mess of a story where you have to buy part of the pieces in order to know what's going on, and with developers that seem more intent on nickel-and-dime-ing the players through microtransactions in the multiplayer mode. End of rant.
I know right?! That first elite I encountered in my first play through of Halo 4 had me hella confused. I thought the elites were our allies? Why was nobody answering that question throughout the campaign? Why did they look like Brutes? I hated it too. That’s just one example of the narrative that bothered me
Pretty sure you weren't paying attention, because they spell it out in 4 that the Covenant on Reqiuem are a remnant being led by Jul M'Dama. And they're here searching for the Didact. None of that is comic or book material, it's literally in-game.
@@FlipDarkFuture We had no idea who Jul ‘Mdama was until Spartan ops. At the end of Halo 3 it was made quite clear that the elites no longer believed in the Covenant religion, and had a peace treaty with humanity. So walking into Halo 4 to fight a new faction of elites who are still religious, searching for forerunner relics and a forerunner God, was sorta confusing. It’s only through the expanded universe that we are told these elites came from a different planet, a different phenotype. There was never any indication given for this being the case in the campaign.
@@ericbooth3393 does all of humanity follow one religion? No. It’s completely unrealistic to expect all the elites to abandon the religion of the Covenant all at once. It makes sense that there would still be some that believe in it, and it’s not unrealistic that one persuasive elite would be able to convince other like-minded individuals to join his cause in rebuilding it
If you go to Halopedia, on the entry regarding the Created, it redirects you to a post in Halo waypoint, which specifically states that the Created have ceased to be a unified force and indeed are not only scattered in small remnants somewhere, but also most of their power is effectively gone. Cortana destroying herself somehow did something to the Domain and probably cut off most of the rebel AI's from the Domain, and those not cut, where destroyed. This has allowed the UEG and the UNSC to begin a rebuilding process in the wake of the end of the Created threat. As of right now its mostly a clean slate for the galaxy, with the UEG/UNSC rebuilding from the blackout caused by the Guardians, the Insurrectionists beginning to recoalesce into a more unified front, as the power and reach of the UNSC has been severely diminished. The Shangheili continue their post-covenant war recreation of their society, but its a long process and finally the Brutes are rallying behind the Banished as a show of unity and need of security after the destruction of Doisac. This is setting up an interesting multi-polar universe for Halo, with between 5 and 6 major factions that will all be relatively even in power and capabilities in the near future. The gains the UNSC had obtained as the clear winners of the human-Covenant war and having the most stable post-conflict government, meant that they effectively where in a position to become the overwhelmingly superior force in the near and long term future. But the Created having so heavily attacked the UNSC, took all of this momentum away and left the UNSC in a sorry state, from which it is just beginning to recover.
Ok Ecks, I have been doing a little bit of digging but I don't seem to find anyone talking about this; what happened to crimson squad. I know not many people liked spartan ops, but I enjoyed have my own spartan again and I wonder what happened to the squad that we were all a part of.
I think how the game started was problematic. You don't really understand what's going on then you watch Chief lose to Atriox because the banished are attacking... just because. Like what happened to the Ark? The Spirit of Fire Crew? Arbiter and everyone else? The way Halo 5 ended and trying to make the Banished the main bad guys just does work well story wise
Me and a buddy are also wondering how did the infinity loose to the Banished? In 4 we see the Infinity road kill a Covenant ship without breaking a sweat. We have some ideas, but nothing in game really seems to speak towards that. Also, how in the hell did Chief survive 6 months in space in just his suit?

Check Halo Infinite's achievements, finding all spartan logs awards you with Rubicon Protocol. The next halo novel coming out in March, The Rubicon Protocol. Based on the pre- Infinite game UNSC forces that are stranded on the ring.
Personally, I hate how the UNSC, or Humanity, is always the underdog faction and is one of the reasons as to why I am not fond of the current campaign. If it is one thing 343 did right, it was bolstering the UNSC to gradually be on par with and at time exceeding existing factions. Additionally, the UNSC shipyards should have fabricated a dozen or so carrier fleets of modernized warships and conscripted a significant portion of their remaining citizenry in an attempt to rapidly bolster their defenses Instead of the campaign being another fight for humanity's survival, it could have focused on intergalactic skirmishes over resources, territory, assets, and technology. A conflict that sees the Master Chief and other UNSC forces tasked in ensuring that the UNSC remains ahead of the other factions. Essentially, it could be viewed as a cold war between the UNSC and the Banished with the 3rd parties including Swords of Sanghelios, Balaho, Covenant Loyalists, Secessionist Union, Created, and a few others. It could have been amazing to see the Chief explore multiple small open worlds in various foreign and domestic facilities and planets in hopes of acquiring assets, bolstering alliances, and fending off adversarious factions. Then annually, the campaigns original maps and content can be expanded upon or have new locations and assignments added to the game. Either way, story wise I think it was a miss. As for game play and aesthetic, it's pretty good.
I honestly do agree. It doesn't even need to be affecting the game directly - you can always have a few lines of dialogue that the beleaguered UNSC ships in the region are simply a patrol that got lost (maybe that's why we're alone on the Halo) and that UNSC assistance is coming anytime soon, but we need to hold out until then, and hopefully kill the Banished leadership to make things easier for the UNSC fleet.

He predicted that carriers would be the future (just like real life) and that the future would belong to multi-role strike fighters like the Defender (just like real life). To your point I think the ISDs (maybe a fictional ISD III) becomes a fast armored fleet carrier, and completely loses it massive casemate secondary battery (just like with real world battleships) and instead gets a huge anti-star fighter point defense compliment (like late war US battleships just covered in AAA). I think it retains the lower caliber but more numerous ISD primary battery to shred the smaller cruisers that make up the backbone of rebel ships of the line. He completely does away with the largely ceremonial and psychological dreadnoughts with the highest tonnage ships being the various battlecruisers that form small hunter killer squadrons with Tectors that sortie in the rare instance of the rebels pulling together multiple larger Mon Calimari cruisers that are best handled by other capital ships, but that's probably a rare occurrence. Basically, the fleet looks just like the end of WWII. Carriers are king, but in the rare instance someone is going to sortie with a concentration of capital ships, it probably doesn't hurt to be able to win the uncommon Battle of Space Surigao Straight
@@willlasdf123 Problem with space combat scenarios is that fighters don't make sense for the likely engagement distances and advancements of weaponry. A good SciFi series (book or TV) to depict this is the Expanse which is frigate/destroyer and larger ships. Why waste money/time on fighters that can be easily destroyed due to low armour or limited weapons or ammunition (assuming realistic physics and design ideology) and all probability your pilot killed which is another factor against them is the cost of pilots training and time. Realistically if you're going down the carrier route then you're looking at drone carriers or similar. However simple ballistic CIWS or similar systems would basically shred them before being able to engage, hence it'd be simpler and easier just to launch missile or torpedo salvos against your enemy to overwhelm or destroy the targets. It's a nice fantasy to envisage a bunch of fighters leading a cavalry charge against capital ships or targets but realistically you'd just be cannon fodder against larger calibre weapons or missiles and that's excluding laser or plasma tech. Whilst I realist you reference WWII, modern technology is way beyond what they had then combine that with AI or more limited 'smart' computer systems then humans just can't compete nor would likely be able to handle the stresses/forces of Newtonian physics would demand of them (excluding IDs or AG). I don't know enough about Halo Slipspace engines, but can't they just jump in dump metric ton of ordinance at the enemy and jump back out? That'd be the most logical way of engaging in combat, and you'd end up with AI's predicting/counter-predicting the jump points to have the munitions exploder or acquire their targets. Stealth would be a highly desirable feature to mitigate long range acquisition, so thermal and profile signatures would be reduced so all those flashy lights may give away thermal signatures same with those engines. Flying in space is hard, and I wouldn't want to be in a fighter that's akin to being in a flying coffin unless you're doing sub-orbital type combat.
It’d be interesting to know if Jun made it off Laconia station before it was destroyed, the last we heard of him in Bad Blood he was still on that station.
It may be misplaced optimism but I would guess the station wouldn’t have exploded instantly like it was depicted self destruct usually takes longer unless for some reason it was rigged with explosives.
It would be awesome to see the campaign on zeta halo finished and then be able to reinforce and rescue the spirit of fire on the ark. Having Jerome and chief working together would be a dream, plus it would be great to see ODST’s again from spirit of fires crew instead of just spartan 4’s.
My hope is that the US C is basically shattered and now that colonies are free of the created and there have been massive shifts in leader ship at a rapid pace, we can see the emergence of new factions. Galactic Geo politics is way cooler than just species versus species
Something I still wonder is what happened with Ellen Anders from the Spirit of Fire? Because she was going with the Halo to Reach and was intercepted by a Guardian. So still no one knows of Cutter's survival in the wider galaxy.
Captain Lasky abandoned his ship and crew to die at the hands of the Banished. Lasky was the _first_ one to abandon ship and didn't order everyone else to abandon ship until _he_ had escaped.
What would make sense in the future is that Arbiter arrives to assist the UNSC on the halo ring along with Rtas 'Vadum commanding a carrier or fleet after hearing what happened to Infinity, that can serve as a good start for arbiter and chief's reconnection
Can anyone help me understand the multiplayer though? In the cutscene the Brutes are using current weapons. However the same girl grows up to be a Spartan. Wouldn’t that mean the MP is later?
If you go to the tower (or anywhere in the area) in a wasp, hover above it, and face nearly straight west, you can see the silhouette of something far off in the background. Its not a perfect match to the side profile of the Infinity, but its pretty close and any differences could be explained by the beating that it took in the begin of the game. I know a lot of people have been speculating as to what happened to the Infinity after the attack by the Banished but I've yet to see anyone being this up.
With Cortana Gone, and Earth theoretically no longer on lock down, the UNSC can now go into full fleet production again, and do what they do best. Spamming the fuck out of Frigates from Mars like there's no tomorrow.
The one thing I dislike is how retconned the Cortana plotline has been in Infinite. I'm hoping they give us some sort of prequel to show us more of what happened, rather than just telling us.
I hope in the future we can get a dlc of some kind set in the destroyed Sydney UNSC base, I don’t know how it could work, maybe a mIssion to save as many leaders as possible that are camped in a bunker or to possibly retrieve a new infinity esque ship being built in secret in a secret shipyard there so the unsc can keep tabs on it. Idk how it would work, mostly just going off how cool the environment would look
It does confuse me how the UNSC gets is ass kicked by the Banish and all it takes is Master Chief 6 months later to destroyed the Banish forces. Also I hope that the Forrunner AI didn't just shut off bc cortana died I hope they come back as a fierce force like the Vex in Destiny.
The banished slipped an aphrodisiac into the Infinity, so the crew were too busy getting busy to notice a 4 mile long dreadnought approaching till it rammed through their hull. Really is the most logical way to have it make sense.
@@deejnutz2068 IK how the Banish took down the infinity but the forces on the infinity is the part I'm talking about since the spirit of fire with 30 yr old technology is kicking the shit out of the Banish when the Banish has upgraded tech. And the UNSC on the infinity is a ship full of Spartans, spirit of fire had only 3.
I really am confused how the Banished got from being grounded on the Ark and in a stalemate with Spirit of Fire, magically is able to blind side Infinity all the way at Zeta Halo. No word on Spirit of Fire and if they just killed them off...I'm done....Jerome is my favorite character and that's a huge missed opportunity to bring in Spirit of Fire and Red Team. I also think it would be realllllllly cool if Red Team comes to help Chief and in that way you can choose your campaign Spartan which would have different cores/upgrades. Also kinda odd we don't see 1 Scarab from the Banished. I've always said games should replace cool vehicles / weapons from previous games, just add to it.
The thing that would destroy the UNSC would be an ideological shift in a key part of human territory, most likely accompanied by a major war. On that note Halo should have introduced differing human factions a long time ago; players would enjoy fighting for (and against) a secret black-op group that exists as a part of the UNSC Rebel factions are an excellent opportunity to make cool variants of existing weapons and vehicles. A rebel is not truly rebelling unless they use a different scorpion tank then the loyalists
I just can't accept infinity got beat by a few old ships that have been armored up. Infinity took a beating in 4 but mainly because didact basically switched the ship off but still got up.

I don’t know if I fully but Infinity being defeated so easily. (I have not found all the audio logs and I have not played Halo Wars 2) the ships that the banished use in the cutscene of them fighting the infinity don’t seem all that powerful and we know that Infinity could have certainly destroyed a CSO and I doubt the banished ships were even as powerful as a CAS. It seems that the ship were mainly used for boarding the Infinity based on what we see. And I just don’t think that four of their ships could successfully take and destroy the Infinity that way. I mean Infinity had thousands of marines, hundreds of ODSTs, and I imagine at least 50-100 spartan 4s on hand. Not to mention the thousand of sailors aboard the ship who would’ve certainly been able help in the defense. My whole point is I think like Eck said the game wanted to give a Halo 1 type feel and as a result really made Infinity much weaker or the crew less competent and I just don’t buy that.
@@samuelbishop3316 I base this assumption that Infinity could stop a CSO based on what Eck has said about the Infinity in previous videos. I mean I feel like the Macs on the Infinity could certainly take down a CSO. If they’re just slugging it out then maybe not, but I am by no means an expert on halo ships so I could certainly be wrong.
I still think Halo Infinite is a game that will last well over a year. That we are going to get more story, campaign missions, and spartan ops every season in order to keep people coming back for battle passes. So a lot of holes or story will be told.
What happened to the spirit of fire and its crew I thought they would be on the ring and how the banish got to the ring if in halo wars 2 they were defeated on the ring
Never played halo but I do like the lore. this is a what if. What if there is a hinting colony of human predating the human forerunner war and they still have all their technology and it kept evolving how would both sides of humanity react to each other.
(this is mostly a joke) So, if the multiplayer is deemed canon that means there's thousands if not more of Spartan IV's ready to kick ass at a moments notice, now let's just let *all* of them run wild against the banished on Zeta Halo- Also would that technically mean that every multiplayer Spartan ever is actually canon within the Halo universe?
It's really sad that it's suggested that Sergeant buck and by extension I guess the rest of fireteam Osiris They're All Dead also we still do not know what happened to the spirit of fire and what was left of red team
@@DomR1997 we know Locke is dead since his helmet was being used a a brute paldron. But if they killed Buck and all of the spirit of fire crew off screen it would seriously hurt my opinion of the franchise because killing an important beloved characters off screen is bad storytelling. Though I believe it is unlikely that the spirit of fire crew is dead because their story arc was incomplete and left open-ended after the events of Halo Wars 2 and killing them off without explaining the events that happened afterwards would just create a plot hole or incomplete story threads
at the very least, the Spirit of Fire very much still alive and kicking as of 2559, in Divine Wind. I don't think 343 is trying to burn every plot thread they have going, so I figure the Spirit will be fine over the Ark
Just to make everyone feel bad because I am an asshole, the Spartan IV station Cortana destroyed, Laconia Station, was run by Jun, who was Noble 3. He is now probably dead.
Whatever the heck happened to the Warden Eternal? He only had several out of a few million bodies destroyed in Halo 5, would he emerge as the predominant Created leader now that Cortana's out of the picture? Or did Cortana totally end him beforehand due to her frustration with him at the end of 5?
You hit my issue right at the beginning. This was an awesome game and i ha e played all halo related games but I haven't read the books so I felt so lost at the beginning. I know atriox and I know the banished but why is master cheif getting his ass kicked off the bat? Thank you so much for the video and timeline but it sucks we didn't get this in the game.
I think you missed a detail. In ClibNub's broadcasts it says that the ring is not in it's original position anymore, leaving the forces there isolated for now. Of course he could be lying, but it's not a guarantee.
I'm actually really disappointed with Infinite. The entire game was 343i going back on what they've already done to turn back the clocks to Halo 3. New Cortana with the old one seeing the errors of her ways leaving no sour taste with the new ones future prospects. Humanity has been beaten and battered only to be rising from the ashes. Even investing a whole new prehistoric species to take the place of The Flood and Promethians. Now I'm not a HUGE fan of Halo 5, but Jesus Christ own up to it and finish strong instead of trying to erase your mistakes. While The Created story line started off target, they could have written a decent ending or continuation. They didn't have to start over. What a waste of a game.
Not really relevant but one thing that I would love to see in a future DLC campaign is the spirit of fire I know this is highly not likely gonna happen as it's trapped at the lesser arc "trapped" but I would still love to see it as I'm pretty sure a lot of others would
Considering Atriox made it to the ring it would seem one way or another the spirit of fire is out of the picture for infinite in anything but a sort of mention role and if I remember right someone said that the spirit of fire would strictly be in the halo wars series and would make an appearance in the main games but I might be wrong.
Okay, I”m WWWWAAAAAAAYYYYYYY behind on my Halo storyline/timelines. Cortana went bad? when did that happen, and where’s a good resource to get caught up on this?
@@drewrubtheMando A lot has happened since 3, like a lot lot, as Moonman said watch some summaries on yt, or play the games yourself, but even then you probably won't understand everything unless you read the books and stuff.
