I remember seeing "worm kid" on this website when I was like 10, also watched faces of death for the first time around then. Truly introduced me into the gore scene, RIP Rotten!

What real is, what you said about how long this site had been active and how graphic the images they showed were. Also, my first time being put on to the site was seeing the Tupac autopsy images. What's sad is, the world we live in now where overly sensitive people feel the need to censor things they deem offensive & take away a person's freedom to see what's actually going on around the world everyday! The news itself will report on the gruesome things that happen but never show the ugly truth, the aftermath, the corpses, the results of the craziness that happens daily. I believe if more people saw the horrifying results of others actions, that they may make better decisions and NOT do so much of the ignorant things that always seems to happen & have always been happening... I know people will say that if some people see that kind of imagery, then they'll be inclined to go out and do things and emulate or recreate the things they've seen but I disagree! In fact, I think if you can't see for yourself and know that something is a bad... Yea seriously. They had a time lapse of some blonde chick as she decomposed on a table. Still remember the eyes. And how they dried out. I was 15-16. Im 31 now lol.
Pupils in my school have used this site to scare others or some of them got obsessed with it, because it was the first time they could have seen such things, understandable because Internet was pretty new in those years. I have never seen that site, because I knew it is full of terrible things, but one of my schoolmates who has saved pictures from that site on his floppy disc, when I was in his room, he suddenly showed me those pictures he has got from that site. Basically those were footages from police about fatal accidents, they have looked like almost fanatasy pictures, they were so grotesque.
There is still Best Gore and Death Addict site and a couple of others, personally i use Death Addict because i like the ease of use and layout, but compared to todays videos rotten seems mediocre at best, most of it was pictures and snuff videos (fake).

Fuck I miss this website. Most fucked up shit I’ve ever seen. I still remember the guy who had been mutilated by helicopter blades. A decaying body in a bath tub... Just everything awful about the world in one convenient website.
That particular photo you speak of, in case you're curious. It happened in Oklahoma, in the mid 90s, and he was a drunkard. His name was Steve or something like that.
Cheeseburger was also a spin off, altho milder, of Rotten. I loved Rotten when it first came out. At one point it got so that nothing new was uploaded. Whang! Chnl on RU-vid just did a video about what happened to Rotten. U should check it out! Lol, I have to re-watch it myself bc I was looking up the Cheeseburger site (which isn't the same website it was back then) to see if that was still up. Again, it is, but it's not the same site. OR, they changed it completely, and made it something completely different. I'd tell ya what happened to rotten, but I wasn't listening, lol, and going back to re-watch the ending now. But ya, I wanted to work in a funeral home from the time I was a teen, right up to now. Unfortunately, though, there aren't any schools around that offer it and I am not able to move. I used to go to look at autopsy pics.
I guess I was lucky enough to saved most of the pictures and above all; The entire library. I have it in one Stand Alone PC. Yeah, I wouldn't even try having a connection to the net. For just in case they'll be mysteriously erased. There was another website even worse, it was called ogrish. I showed my brother a video from ogrish about a few Russian prisoner soldiers when were beheaded in cold blood one by one. He was so pissed off!!!!!.
...Wonder why so many people have seen the video but very few have voted. I would say that most can't decide. Many are razonable people that see that stuff but also don't want to glorify it. And also yeah there are no many "likes" but also there are not so many dislikes because people want to see the truth and not deny it like acting like those things do not exist (they are not that sensitive to want to cancel that stuff)...Idk.

Damn i feel bad for everyone in the comment sections. This is sad though. loosing something u love. but all these people who died or were killed is gone forever. people need to take life seriously. Looking autopsy's are different though. But watching someone actually get killed is fucked.
