Rick Moranis is underappreciated as the late 20th century everyman. He was the skinny John Candy (ironically his SCTV castmate), a guy that everyone roots for and identifies with, simultaneously.

He is my favorite Canadian icon as well as my favorite 80's comedy nerd Strange Brew is my favorite beer movie infact when ever I watch the movie I have to get Canadian beer you hoser plus he is a part of RUSH history of working with comedians how much more Canadian 80's can you get thanks Rick Moranis for a awesome childhood in the 90's ps he was more interested in being a father than a star and I hate the person who assaulted my childhood from assault on Rick Moranis

I'm just disappointed that the POS that hit Moranis only got 2 years. He was an ex-con and had six other charges from unprovoked attacks. Do you think someone who behaves like that -- punches a 69 year old man, punches a Soho store owner and beats up a 61 year old customer deserves a deal??

A part of me was said when he didn’t appear in the newest version of Ghostbusters…I was so excited to see most of the cast and that would have just made my day if he appeared… Those who grew up on his movies have a place in our hearts for him. I hope he knows how much he’s loved and missed. I love Matthew Broderick movies back in the day. The Cable Guy was my movie… so funny. He has some good movies that I enjoyed. He’s so funny

Rick Moranis, left the business to raise his kids after his wife passed away due to cancer Mathew Broderick married a horse yet no one is charging him with bestiality and Steven Guttenberg quit the popular franchise Police Academy because he was sick of his character only to continue playing that same type of character for roughly the next two decades or so.

Yes, of course, the Bob and Doug MacKenzie bit became a regular feature. But the real reason is because SCTV had a different running time in the US and in Canada because the US time was shorter, they needed to show to be a bit longer in Canada, so the bit was added as a sly comment about “Canadian content” which is a broadcasting requirement here in Canada.

24:56 I had this exact scenario happen to me with a wasp's nest, I was throwing rocks at a wasp's nest so i probably deserved it. The major differences though, when I instinctually put my hand over my eye when the Yelllowjacket first stung me like anybody would... I happened to trap the wasp between my eye and my hand and.... SPOILER ALERT!!! Wasps aren't bees and can sting more than once... I got stung around my eye and palm of my hand like 3 times each (so like 6 times altogether), but it the "Palm Stings" that were waaay worse because they were crazy itchy...I had to go to the hospital to make sure I didn't go into anaphylactic shock... Moral of the story wasps suck ass... also dont throw rocks at their nests, they're not fans of that....

His comedic genius and the gaping hole that his depature left (the hole is fucking huge!), is only eclipsed by his astouding humility. The love for his family, and his personal loss... Anyone critisising his decision ought take a good look in the mirror. Much love for Rick Moranis, he did his part, and he did it fucking well!!! For me it's Little Shop, supurb performance, closely followed by Parenthood. Though I find it difficult to pick bad examples... His acting was always immaculate. 😂😂😂😰😰❤

I still randomly sing Little Shop of Horrors tunes to myself often, and I wish I still had my VHS copy of Parenthood. I looked for My Blue Heaven recently and it hadn't then occurred to me that perhaps Rick Moranis is the common thread that keeps me nostalgic for so many movies from the nineties.

There are a few twists in the story and quite a few stars...John Cleese as the lawyer Shadgrind is perfect, and a incredibly complicated stunt with bicycles was absolutely beautiful, hilarious and such a great dig at European culture that even they themselves have got to laugh at.
