I hope Bridget is okay after all these years. I only used to watch Vian so i could see her act like a child (like the whole boxie craze and all that).

There was indeed a video titled "Harassment in the Splatoon Community" with Vian doing a facepalm gesture in the thumbnail. It was one hour long, published in August 2021. And the clip from pearlie's twitter was indeed from that deleted video but it was spliced in a way to make him look worse than he actually was. It was deleted in under 24 hours. Literally no one could possibly preserve the video in that short amount of time. I only watched a few minutes of it, but the things mechpan said definitely sound like they could line up. I do agree that Vian should've never monetized the video, with the only exception being if he was going to give the revenue back to the community to support the victims. But he literally just erased the money from existence with the deletion. All I want is closure. At the very least, Vian should make a detailed response video admitting to his actions and revealing well thought-out ways of bettering himself as a person. With a little life update sprinkled in. But if he doesn't want to face the music, he should stay away from the Splatoon community. I don't think Vian is a groomer, and there's zero evidence of the whole NSFW of Marina and Bridgett accusations, but he has made mistakes. Talking suspiciously and making up very uncomfortable puns with lude adult humor in an audience of kids is bad on it's own. But at least it probably went over their heads.

On the whole Bridgett34 thing: it's good that you pointed out how Inklings and Octolings are functionally children - even in Side Order and Return of the Mammalians, the human shape form is still called "Kid Form" _even though_ Inklings and Octolings that the players use in MP are canonically 18 now in Splatoon3 (it's been confirmed that in universe time passes in exactly the same way it does IRL in between games, and IIRC the squids were 13-15 in S1, so the canonical 4-6 years in between would make them "18" on S3's release). They *might* be an age that would make them "legal adults" in the real world, *at least in SOME countries, but that doesn't mean they're not still kids.* Anyone who understands even the basics of the lore of this series knows that the society these characters live in is very stunted, and they live a really long time. As far as I care, even the Idols can be understood as YA at best. I don't care if Bridgett is 16, that's an infant. I don't care if marina's 24, she's basically a teenager. And I would expect splatubers to understand the lore at least enough to grasp this, because why would you make videos on YT about a game you really like if you didn't bother to learn anything about its worldbuiilding??? Maybe that last point is my autism talking but I *do* expect youtubers to understand *some of* that level of the games they talk about.
