You made it to the top 5 on American Idol which must be almost impossible! Every performance you gave showcased your talent beautifully and you represented yourself well. I'm really proud of how hard you work and know AI is another fine accomplishment on your resume, which must be quite amazing with all the things you've been up to lol! I didn't know about the book and I just finished commenting on another thread that you should be using that voice for some Disney movies. That's true! And Kelli Pickler or Daughtry too! You do not have to win to be successful and small towns tend to be VERY supportive, so coming from cities is not a plus. Just part of the process. Winning is not always best and sometimes like on DWTS, people don't vote because contestants can look safe but not be. You have to vote...

@@amandachilds5290 Katherine McPhee. Lauren Daigle didn't even make the late rounds. She won a grammy. It's a great platform to be seen. I wish a different genre would win once in awhile. Gospel, broadway, r&b, rock. Last year on the voice a country singer won also.

I agree, but buy releasing her own on Spotify and everywhere on the internet. She's gonna make alot of money...I mean she can Act, produce music and write her own really well. Write books. All at 23 She's gonna be great

She’s the biggest victim of music genre apartheid in the ABC era of American Idol. Music genre apartheid has also happened on The Voice, as of the last fall season.

Ani, she came close to winning on the Voice. Did you know that? I think that she has an unfair advantage by being on the Voice and then moving to Idol.

Paint it how you want to. But, racism is real. Katie Perry and Lionel Richie are horrible - but for different reasons. Lionel, don't push the obvious artist - i.e. We Ani. Katie, she is disingenuous. She cannot hide or conceal her feelings when judging. smh

@@2robtherob Tyson was on The Voice Philippines too. I’m not sure it really matters. It’ll never be a fair playing field. Some contestants come from families with money and have had voice lessons and some have gone to performing arts high schools and some have a relative in the business giving them advice. There are many ways to have an advantage and just as many to be disadvantaged. I see your point, but there’s really no way to make a truly level playing field.

Yeah, it's all about color, that's why black people never win. Yeah. Rubun Studdard, he never won. Frantasia-she never won, we just thought she had. Jordon Sparks--must have been the white half. Candice Glover--another misunderstanding--I was sure she won--what was I thinking? Her runner up by the way, Melinda Doolittle, sure sounds like a one-two punch to me?? In fact, when you THINK about it, seems to me black singers outperformed their percentage of the population--but it is still the same, tired argument, will people EVER give it up?

Really? shocked? I could believe disappointed, sure but shocked? And really it doesn't matter all that much in the scope of things to come for her. The biggest benefit is she got to strut her stuff which exposed her to new people and was free advertising she could never have afforded to pay for (same for all contestants on these shows). Never, and I mean never, expect the best to ever win. Winners are popular or country - that's pretty much a fact. It goes to who's really watching and voting the show. Sorry for your disappointment though. I too thought she was the most talented by far and away from anyone else.

The overall industry tells the story. There is something for everyone. And there are minor successes in all areas of music, but the absolute most successful …vocalists by monetary income and followers by todays youth are not even close to singing as well as Wé. Admittedly, she seems to fit more into the Broadway style of…performance, but she will more than likely have some success in the recording industry. I was on that roller coaster ride back in the late 70’s to mid 2000’s. It is an up and down, iffy ride. American Idol/The Voice are not the all in all. Just another platform. Of all the years they have been on the air and all the singers who have graced their stages, only a small handful have had minor success and even a smaller count had major successes. Wé should have had more votes to remain, but, the youthful general public who don’t care for technically legit singing has spoken.

There's only one winner. As much as I love We, she is not the only great singer eliminated. It's about who gets the votes. Did you vote for We? She is not my first choice to win but she was in the top 3 for me. Those in the top three now earned it. We has been seen by the powers that be in the music industry so she will likely have a career in music. She has an amazing powerful voice.

This has nothing to do with politics. She simply loss to the hill billy vote. period. neither one of the two outside of Iam deserves to be in the finale. Personally, the final three should be We Ani, Iam and Oliver Steele. Their talent and style were unmatched. Colin, is the least talented of the final three and would not be there if for not the change of the top 25 to the top 26. And the young lady is just another country and western replica of Loretta Lynn. Too bad America can't be more imaginative. Let's go Iam.

Also, We Ani was a on the Voice. I don't think that contestants should be able to hope from show to another. That is the main reason in spite of her talent, that she should not be in the top 3.

Several others were on The Voice. We Ani just made it the farthest. Megan Danielle was also a Voice contestant. It was during the pandemic I believe, but I haven't seen it yet myself. Lots of them audition for more than one show...it's how they gain experience and exposure that no amount of money can buy. We was just 17 when she started and I was really surprised and happy to see her on AI. She's grown into a beautiful young woman with an amazing talent who consistently put on wonderful performances. I hope this exposure finally is that big break she needs.

Southern people vote! Through the years the statistics shows major voters proved to be from Southern States voting mostly their own.
