Idk, you don't have to be poor. GET UP find a job, doesn't even have to be a good job to start! There is a way? These people have given up! You know one of my fondest memories growing up was working on a shrimp boat laying tile and carpet or working at McDonald's. I got a job at a tire store allied tire twenty-five years later I'm making over $40 an hour but I worked for it I didn't sit on the street and do drugs. I just couldn't imagine waking up. To do drugs for a living!!!
It’s good to hear you say that, you are lucky. But I hear so much abuse piled onto these people, that they brought this problem on themselves, that it is their choice, etc. People forget that every last one of these addicts is somebody’s son, daughter, or mother. They all had families, friends, and hopes and dreams for their lives. God is good, and I’m thankful that I survived this lifestyle and was able to get clean with the help of my doctors, nurses, and counselors. Pray for them, they are suffering in the worst hell you can imagine. And say a quick little prayer for me if you can spare the time, I will need all the help I can get. I will pray for you.
I thought Boston was bad. Damn, I don't even think NY has this type of problem and many more people live there. They must have closed down a lot of shelters and detox programs.
FYI a lot of these people aren’t homeless believe it or not they come down their buy their drugs and go home and again a lot of the people you see there aren’t from Philly there from all over but they heard of the cheap drugs. The place isn’t fixable anymore!
Yesterday I watched a video from Miami - about the night club life, people are all adequate, funny, ...- well, a little drunk, of course, within the norm, there are no addicts and no one is lying on the asphalt, ...there is cleanliness and fun around,...the contrast with this video from Philadelphia is simply amazing ((((
This is not just a Philly problem, it is a nationwide problem. Many individuals are beyond asking to get help. I believe that health reasons the cities and states should forcibly be able to get these people off the street and put the in an environment where help in the form of counseling, medications, living conditions, etc. However, because of organizations like ACLU, you can't just take these people off the street by force so that these people can get real help. Many are so far gone that they won't willingly accept help. However forcing them to give them proper help is "against their constitutional rights". Meanwhile these people have mental problems, probably have numerous diseases. Some can become criminals to pay for their habit. Time to use common sense when it comes to people that mentally can't help themselves.
@@debwitalec127 There are organizations that would take people off the street and help them. However, you can't force these people to give them the help they need. It is about common sense, not left and right extreme politics. Your making it political while people who suffer can't be forced to get help though they really can't make decisions for themselves. Bottom line: for people with your sentiment it is about political philosophy, not people nor common sense.
There are so many issues, along with drug dealers, that are causing this. Where do you start tho......charity doesn't improve the situation, government money is not being used correctly due to all the greed; my heart hurts for the people in this situation, but I am also repulsed by the addictions.
They most likely break into any of the abandoned stores and buildings when it is cold. What you see in the video is the tip of the iceberg. Kind of like rats or cockroaches. For everyone you see, there are a hundred you don't see.
@@ksmith2852 I'm sure some do, but again why here ? The streets in every large city in California have homeless, but it's not like this. What makes Philly so different?
I really don't think so. I don't know what makes people taking drugs in the first place; and the first time is a choice. After that, you are stuck, no choice, you need it, you are addicted
This is so sad. How easily it could be me, or you, or your child. I don't know if there is a political answer. This is definitely a spiritual battle. Pray for our nation. WE THE PEOPLE HAVE TO SOLVE THIS. PRAY FOR EVERYONE IN AMERCA! WE THE PEOPLE, DON'T FORGET WHAT MADE US GREAT! 🙏 ➕ ♥
It wasn't bloody useless prayers. Prayers are just a cop-out for people that don't actually want to do something useful. It just makes them feel like they've done their bit by issuing a mouthful of mumbo-jumbo.
Tnx4d update of what's happening in Kensington Ave Philadelphia. So sad to see homeless addicts on the side walks. They are helpless and in miserable condition. Drugs destroyed their precious lives. Hope they can still recover and start a new life 🏡
Amazing testimony to how much abuse the human body can endure and still survive, if you want to call this survival . It truly is a waste of human life .
I could only imagine what the founding fathers of your country would be thinking now. All in vain. Can’t say much for my own country either. Heart breaking.
I watched a video yesterday with the same problem in L.A which shocked me as i thought everyone in la was well tp do. However the mayor from this part of L.A (don't remember exactly where, i am from Ontario), was actually caring and giving an interview. He said he will have it cleaned up again.
i was born in chicago in 66 seen a lot of stuff worked for years in CHA housing projects THIS blows my mind WAY worse than Chicago ever was even now ! cant belive this is is the state of this country
I'm British and watching this is like it's another planet. It's a zombie fest like a video game. It's crazy. WHY IS YOUR GOVERNMENT LETTING THIS HAPPEN ?
This is Dublin already. It will be London, Birmingham and all the rest of them soon. We are a civilisation in decline. They let it happen because they either don't know how they cause it to happen or because they do not care.
A good question. Many of our large city governments are letting this happen because they believe it is more humane than institutionalizing people. It is misguided but the truth.
@@sambowz9077 Always better to have and not need than to need and not have. Hope for the best but prep for the worst. US has had it too good for way too long now. Have a good day.
The question I have is, who caused this. Someone passed a law that invited these junkies in and didn't arrest them. Who did it, why isn't he answering for it, and why hasn't it been repealed so the city can get passed this zombie invasion?
the answer is that big corporations are biying people out and all thos homeless they pushing them to one area it call kansingtong neighborhood also call bad land
@@БальдрСмирнов Действительно, ведь эти животные абсолютно счастливы - это их выбор. Кстати, как думаете, почему у каждого второго проблемы с опорно-двигательным? Это не наркотики, другая причина должна быть.
I lived like this for 7 Years and Now when I should be Retiring , With this Inflation , this is not far off in my future Unless I work my ass 0ff :( QC
There is help I agree. People always tell me they are afraid of the withdrawal, I always tell them that if they can handle Kensington they can handle anything. Sometimes I think it's an excuse?
Futility. One street looked normal because it was blocked off.Eventually, areas will be demolished like they did to SW Washington DC in the late 50's, early 60's.
More and more people in wheelchairs because of flesh eating disease. What happens when their limbs are gone, how will they be able to inject themselves?
Wielka ludzka tragedia narkotyki alkohol bezdomność to problem całego świata 😢. Pozdrawiam serdecznie 😊
Sadly so many malicious comments about poor and disadvantaged people. Hope you are able to open your heart to understanding and compassion. Peace and God bless 🙏🕊💚😊
Disadvantaged ? Drug addicts are not disadvantaged. And this is a lifestyle many people decide to embark on. I have zero compassion for people who abjectly refuse to help themselves.
Самая богатая страна мира ? И это демократия?Сколько людей, опустившихся на дно, откуда никогда им не подняться. Америка сейчас- это Титаник.Спасайтесь , люди, или уже поздно?
It's pathetic that this has been allowed to happen. Stop the drugs! Solve the problem. How many more will die on the streets of America with holes in their arms?
Philly is a Democrat strong hold for decades! If the people want change they will vote republican on a local and national level! #Trump2024 #BlacksForTrump #Blexit
Homeless people are coming from Republican states and towns. If Republicans were better and more compassionate then they wouldn't send them all to Democrat run cities while at they same time complaining. Hypocrites.
I blame the citizenry for this. If these videos routinely show open drug use, posession, loitering, public urinating then surely the police see it too. Yet, nothing is done. Violations of law is ignored. The citizenry should be outraged. You have to know the cops are being told to ignore obvious law violations. The citizens should be at every council meeting demanding answers. So Philadelphia who's at fault, YOU ARE !!!
this is too big for Philadelphia to handle. they need large amounts of federal money to build rehabs, housing and job training. the big problem is many of these people have had rehab, they come out and start using again. they also started using by choice. take a look at Portland Oregon- just as bad.
More and more places will start looking like this with Biden and those who hold his political viewpoints in control. And the whole time we’ll have the franny5295’s and madmax13326’s making excuses for them or claiming it was the same under someone they hate.
this was EXACTLY like this under Trump. and the top 10 states with the highest crime rates are ALL republican states and cities. Louisiana has the highest murder rate in the country, followed by 9 other republican run states and cities google it and SHUT UP.
Because Americans are largely selfish and don't care about other people. Because our healthcare is for profit only the people who can pay even have access to treatment and there's no real incentive to pursue health. That messes too much with healthcare revenue. In the US the point of healthcare is "disease management" so you pay for life if you can pay and you suffer if you can't.
We are very lucky to be born in Europe!I can not believe US government is not doing anything to fix the addiction problems! It is just horrific to see people living like this!
@goodfellas5302 You are lucky America pays billions of dollars every year into NATO to protect Europe from Russia, That money could be used to build locked rehab facilities in Kensington to cure addicts and clean up the streets.
@@jamesdempsey9477 That is bloody very stupid comment!Drugs from Mexico would never enter US if your politicians are not getting kick back! You better wake up mate!
