The Black label might even leave YG as a subsidiary company and instead turn into its own standing company... So maybe Somi and it's other artists wouldn't be affected by YG. The only question is the actual artists under YG, Lee Hi, IKON, Big bang and Blackpink...

Assuming YG's grudges leave with him, they can now go to MAMA and other awards shows and variety shows, and the fans will have less to fight about concerning who his fave is and who he neglects. And a Hanbin-less iKON is going to need some time to regroup meaning more attention and resources for the other acts.
When this year started I never thought YGE would lose Seungri, B.I, and YG himself all within 6 months. Imagine if a prediction channel had come up with that, they'd have been laughed off twitter.

YG is probably cleansing right now. Going through his company with a fine tooth comb because of everything coming out about his artists. Rather than giving another chance he is simply cutting them off and I don’t like it but I admit it is what needs to happen.

I didn't stan Ikon but I sympathize what BI is going through and I hope he gets the help he needs. All I can hope for is that the new management will give YG artists the proper attention and treatment they deserve.
Now that YG and his brother has stepped down, I hope groups still stand strong and don't disband. I really hope Blackpink gets treated more fairly by the new people, and the time between their comebacks get shorter. I also hope that the new people eventually give all the members a solo, and not disband the project. The girls have so much talent, personality, and heart. I'd hate to see them be mistreated again.

They have the chance for some major rebranding. Change the name. Get a better ceo in. Sort out the way the company works. Put more support on mental health. Maybe adopt a similar system to JYP for production. iKON, if they don’t disband, have many options: Bobby will probably become leader and maybe Chan can take up rap position with a bit of training or another member. Maybe taking a break would be good for all of them. I hope this is not the end of the company that gave many of us our faves.

I’m just so worried because iKON is my fav boy group, 2nd fav group behind BP. I don’t want them to disband, but my biggest worry is how can they sing their songs that are written for 2 rappers with only 1? They’re all so talented and none of them, including Hanbin, deserve any of this. Bobby is an amazing rapper, but idk if he can take on B.I’s lines. I just hate how South Korea treats drugs, like the only victim of this crime is B.I, and why should a victim be punished? What he needed was help to get in a proper mental state and probably a hiatus, but not the loss of his entire career that he devoted his entire life to. Like what are they trying to say? sorry to interrupt! let me rectify you first. the news from dispatch broke and 9am kst 10am YG denied and revealed B.I was all clean and non of the iKON members were positive at around 2pm B.I came and said "It is true tht Back in 2016 i tried to purchase drugs bcz of the pain and depression i was going through but never used it bcz i was afraid of its circumstances and i will withdraw from the group and reflect on my doing causing no more harm to iKON. 3pm YG terminated all his contracts with B.I. 4pm B.I was edited out of all the shows he had filmed 5pm B.I was removed from everywhere near iKON's name... so quick they cleared his name from all the songs he had written for YG artists and iKON and announced tht iKON will continue as 6. All these things happened within half a day:((

I don't think T13 is going to debut or when they do not debut successfully knetizens tried to boycott YG artists multiple times and even doe it doesn't affect Blackpink and BB because they have a international audience and are so big on there own T13 doesn't really have that yet and the GP in Korea won't be happy but idk that's just my opinion.

Very late to the whole K-pop fandom. IMO, looking back if she's (the former trainee) that untrustworthy then people shouldn't have trusted her, let alone twice (leading to two high profile drug scandals for YG). I agree that mental health is an issue especially for this company and considering why their talents get themselves into trouble of late. YG should capitalize on this "slump" and turn things around with new management in tow. Plus, the company should kill that culture of misogyny because it's as toxic as shaming female talents for their looks.
I think there’s much more dirt that’s going to be revealed about artists/staff/etc. From YG and people are just jumping ship before it happens. Idc about B.I taking drugs or not, where I live our stance on drugs is drastically different compared to in South Korea. I feel really bad for him and every innocent trainee/artist under YG.
