Sounds like he went gay. You can have lower sexlust wheb test is low when you go of cykle but then it comes back to 99% and even if you are on ger long ypu perhaps get back to like 80% of natural test
There is alot of pride in staying a lifetime natural. Unless you wanna have a bodybuilding career, Just healthy foods and working out is all you need. Especially for your health
Why is that? Steroids is just like any drug. If you want to be more muscular and like it, just do it. Alcohol and other "normal" drugs are normalized so really doesn't matter... Opioids, painkillers, etc. You still need to eat healthy and work out to get results in the end of the day
Just because alcohol is normalized doesn't mean it's good for you. It's horrible for you. Smoking is normalized and it destroys your body. Same with steroids. If falling off a building is normalized will you also do that? Weird argument.
@@synth4tk Life is not all about muscles. You are giving yourself temporary benefits (that no one will care about anyway) while ruining your body forever and becoming dependent on external substances for the rest of your life. Sounds like you need to stop worrying about growing muscles and start growing a personality instead.
Just because cigarettes 🚬 are legal doesn't mean you should smoke them, the same thing applies to everything else, if something is “LEGAL” it just means the government wants a cut from the pie too(AKA **Taxes**) they don’t give 2 💩 about your health & honestly it’s probably better for them because they can put you on a whole bunch of medication 💊 for the rest of your life & make bank 🏦
I don’t understand why anyone would want to have a “bodybuilding career”? 🤦🏻♂️ Imagine being bound to injecting exogenous hormones into your body for the rest of your life, losing control of your emotions, and increasing your risk of heart problems + premature death.
So now we know how the influencers eat shit, sleep shit, drink alot and still have an awesome physique! Naturals are the ones we have to appreciate and not the ones enhanced....
I think it's a childish mindset to assume anyone taking steroids is going to be lazy and cheat on their diet, like it's a one or the other scenario. Some people can and do all those things and those are the ones who get the maximum results possible.
Really great to see this perspective being put out there. The youngsters need to be educated on the downsides. Too many influencers leading kids down the wrong path.
@@RickinICT but to pretend that they are telling to kids to take steroids is a lie. Nearly all pretend to be natty and promote their workout regimes and promo codes for creatine and protein powder. The very few that are very honest about their steroid usage actually warn people about the dangers and not just the benefits of taking anabolics.
This is one of my favorite RU-vid channels because it is the most informative and is calm, without loud obnoxiously annoying antics. Shout out to Hampton from hybrid calisthenics as well.
I'm a 70 year old man that has been resistance training for over 50 years natural. I'm very pleased with my physique as my videos shows. I have seen PED's used a lot in those 50 years. There was gym owner that told me that since I had been lifting for the past 5 years at his gym that I owed it to myself the start PED's. I didn't but a few people at the gym did. They got bigger and changed really fast. One day this young guy started at the gym. He worked out hard and started doing PED's. He gain a lot of muscle and eventually became a professional wrestler. He died at 55. The owner of the gym is still alive. He was on drugs for along time. He developed health issues and at the age of 75 has lost every bit of muscle that he had. I had my test. checked 5 years ago and the total was 325. I'm waiting for another blood test now to check my free test, SHBG and total. It will be interesting. I do worry about Alzheimer's since it runs in my family. I like my physique as it is though.
Dude massive thanks for uploading this. Knowledge is power and I feel like so many people just aren't getting enough of either.. I've thought about getting on it for ages and everytime I see/ hear something like this I think again
Lots of natties die from heart problems. Cardiovascular disease is not exclusive to gear guys. [The idiot YT algo is deleting my comments on this thread.]
@@CarlosAM1 The percentage of drunk drivers who die in car crashes compared to the total U.S. population is .00004. How many body builders die from steroid-induced cardiovascular disease? No one knows for sure because it's all anecdotal data or based on small sample sizes. The best data we have show that body builders die at about the same rate as the average American.
Nonsense. These guys run easily on the treadmill and outside. On steroids i remember that it was easier to run somewhere than to walk, because you don't even get tired or out of breath because you have much more RBC in your blood
@@SpeedBoosted136 dud more muscle you have more oxygen you will need. Idk in what gym you are going but ive never seen jacked dude on roids running mill
I did gear for a year straight back in 2014. I was 21 at the time. After 2 weeks of my first cycle, I blew up. Everyone at work noticed, I never even told them I workout. After a year, I stopped taking them and hopped on pct's. I deflated like a balloon and got depressed af. You feel like you're on top of the world when you're on them. It's an experience I'll never regret!
I took a T test two years ago after having a lot of fatigue, it was 362.. I was obese . I didn't eat fast food/ restaurant food for a whole year, ate super healthy , walked 10k a day and and worked out infrequently, a year later it was 833. I struggled to put on muscle the several years before hand and it was probably due to the low T. thanks for the all info Jeremy love your videos !
Mine was super low they gave me testosterone gel but I can’t stand the smell of it. I’m young and already have ed problems I think due to health, stress and blood pressure issues that run in my family. When I did use the gel like two weeks after starting I couldn’t not have wood my girl was loving it, then it went away. I want to do a cycle to kickstart myself because I was going to the gym with a friend for months and didn’t see any change, it made me kind of despondent to it and now I’m fatter than I’ve ever been. 6’ 3” 280 lbs, want to get down to about 210 or so. Do a cut cycle and then do upkeep. Maybe sarms instead of real gear
Thank you for making this Jeremy. With all of those influencers on social media it's important to have some balance in this conversation. I look forward to watching the other videos you plan on releasing on this topic.
Unpopular opinion but RU-vid was the worst thing to ever happen to youth kids thinking they should do steroids . 10-15 years ago no body was touching it except grown men. All the “influencers” are influencing for their own personal gain showing kids their roids and all their results it’s so gross man. Crazy how open this shit is now it’s not cool at all . Screw your transparency you need to be accountable for who might be watching your shit
Nah roids have been around a long time. I remember when I was in highschool 10 years ago. Many guys were already doing it then. A lot of them look old af now. They don't even workout anymore. Most guys will take it. That's just reality. Most won't even want to workout without them.
@@YTStopCensoringFreedomOfspeech”most guys will take it?” absurd. OP is right. this country has had no problem selling out our childrens’ brains for the benefit of a few industry barons since before Reagan deregulated kids’ TV. freedom of speech shouldn’t infringe on freedom from predation.
BS. Lots of young kids were doing steroids of some kind even 20+ yrs ago. Much worse side effects and risks then when nobody had any idea what they truly did, how to dose them, how long to take them, what to do to mitigate potential issues, etc.
Social media in general. Yes kids took steroids before SM was around but the numbers and the ease of access today are crazy. Lack of education used to be a barrier to entry, but that’s gone now thanks to influencers sharing their cycles, ancillaries, and being sponsored by drug companies with discount codes.
You did a really good job on this subject by conducting interviews with honest users and an expert. Excellent video and narration. I'll definitely subscribe to the channel right now.
I'm low-T. For me, taking testosterone was a necessity rather than a choice. Keep in mind that my normal T level is low and the supplemental T brings me up to normal. That is different from any guy (body builder or not) who is normal and supplements to be above normal or a high normal. That said, I can elaborate on one of the health risks that was mentioned: using testosterone can lead to heart problems, heart attacks, and even death. Here's how that works: taking Testosterone can trigger the production of red blood cells. Get too many and the blood can act like a gel rather than a liquid. This puts extra pressure on your heart. My red blood cell count does creep up so my doctor checks my levels a few times a year to make sure they don't get too high. I donate blood a few times a year to keep it in check.
Such an informative video. Wasn’t tempted before and now it’s crystal clear it’s not necessary for a healthy active body building lifestyle. Thank you Jeremy for putting this video together.
90% of all influencers use steroids. Kids and teenagers too. The world does not even know how it looks like to be naturally big. People who train 1 year without steroids will never look like any of these influencers.
Ofc you can be naturally big, but steroids is different thing. Steroid always above natural, because human genetically cant have so big muscle without steroid. But roids also dangerous.
I believe the risks outweigh the rewards, there some many drawbacks that are being overlooked + why would you want to shorten your life span for temporary strength, when we have no idea when or why any of us will die, life isn't guaranteed, theirs no guarantee that any of us will reach even the age 80 years old😢
It's very simple to do steroids with safe guards in place to do little to no additional harm to your health. The most unhealthy part of bodybuilding isn't the steroids or any other PED. It's simply being that size.. And secondly eating so much food for years and years.
@@HumanGorillaHormone were talking about people who use steroids to build a shit ton of muscle. safe way using small dosage to use it doesnt apply to them since it wont build muscle as fast
This video was extremely tasteful and entertaining. We've glorified enchancing our bodies w/o a balanced dipiction of the risks. I'd love to see a breakdown of TRT vs other popular PEDs for future videos. Great episode and amazing channel! BTW i got ride of my lower back pain thanks to your video outlining McGill's protocol
Very good video, including all the people you interviewed. I would just like to point out that I saw 2 numbers thrown out there: 600 mg/week and 500 mg/week. Those sound typical as "bodybuilder doses" (I've even heard of higher), but the side effects, risks and dangers, usually come with those high doses. Just to be clear, being on TRT (typical doses 100 mg to 200 mg/week) rarely have such risks. However, even on 100 mg/week, you still need to have a physician observe your bio-markers to ensure things are not going sideways (raised HCT - Hematocrit), and the LVH (Left Ventricular Hypertrophy - enlargement of left side of heart) is usually only in the very high doses. While most should not (if ever) use those high doses, being on the TRT dose can really improve things with minimal risks (if done properly). Attitude and counselling are important here - and your video here does a good job of that, giving good advice.
I'm a natural lifter. Over 30. Been lifting all my life. And I just had a surge where I gained 10 pounds of muscle in one year. I am now at 210 Pounds at 5'10", at anout 8-9 & body fat. And the most muscular I have ever been. The Long Journey is satisfying. The Sense of achievement from the hard work. Being healthy and not having to worry about side effects from taking PEDS.
I'm in my mid-30's and I've had a huge surge in leg muscle growth as well as arms and shoulders. My growth was almost 10 pounds as well. I felt a little young making old guy strength jokes, since all the old guys are lifting twice what I am.
@@SciolismHD Yes, i can confirm as well. My metabolism slowed down and i gained massive amount of muscle after hitting 30. It was massively frustrating working out for years, eating like mad man and gaining only like 5kg of muscle. Now, im eating less and i gained over 10kg of muscle in just 2 years after hitting 30. Its all genetics, im surprised nobody talks about this and even say growth goes away, it really just starts at 30.
He’s right when he says “no one cars if you have an extra 5 pounds of muscle” people are not that impressed by it. The average person thinks it looks stupid. Just be a better person, that’s what will make a difference in your life
very interesting. great stuff and especially the a / b test coming up. thanks for keeping the topics informative for people to make a choice themselves.
Hey Jeremy! Loved your video. And I love your research based approach to learning new concepts. I would love it if you can make a future video about ways to naturally boost your testosterone(especially when you're older). I've heard about some things like short but fast sprints, and some specific foods(more sceptical on this tho)
Been doing TRT for about two years. I don't take massive amounts and under a doctors care. I have not noticed any real measurable side effects. The only really noticeable side effect has been shrinking testicles which really isn't an issue as I don't worry about accidentally sitting on them anymore. I am sixty and am glad I started as the up side has been worth it to me. Anything can be abused and cause harm.
working out to be fit and healthy should always be the goal. Yes most men want more muscle and definition. i suppose how much more is a choice each individual has to make. This post was a great and honest look at those choices. i look forward to the upcoming series of vids on this subject.
The vulnerability in this video is real. This is a great informative video for anyone who is thinking of taking steroids and even those who don’t want to but it’s great for knowledge. 👏🏼
Love the video brotha! I’m a natural bodybuilder myself and building this type of awareness is great for anyone considering using peds. Don’t think about the now, think about the complications you may have later. 🙏🏼 Great video as always brotha
Two things: 1. Is TRT, where doses are much lower and doctor recommends it because ones Test levels are low, the same as what you are talking about out in your video? 2. Most of these "experts" you have in your videos talking about muscle building (if not all of them) have felt the need to use steroids to get to where they are so, how are they "experts" on natural bodybuilding?
I dont think you answer your video title.. Im at my 34, doing gym since i was 20 and only took creatine and protein whey. The question here is a test injection of 1-2 months with gradual dosage (not straight 500mg) would help motivate the body, give some impressive results and burn fat easier. And then of course slowly phase it out reducing the dosage in the duration of 2 months. Thats what the question should be
This is silly as i know most of the audience are gonna be teens like the ones at my gym who are gonna be trying shit on themselves. These influencers need to shut up
Excellent information, Jeremy. A brief reminder: Anabolic steroids promote muscle hypertrophy, but it is not selective, so the heart muscle will also grow (risk of hypertension, heart failure, heart attack), as well as the muscles of the throat (risk of obstructive sleep apnea, breathing difficulty).
im life time natural , archieved my dream physique after 8 years. i could use peds and get that physique in 1 year but since the athletic body is naturally archieve i have to grind patiently.. now im 32 people thought im in my 20's while my same aged friends looked older than me because the steroid abuse and shitty diet and habits
Same, but I'm 36. I see people being 25, looking like 40. While I still look like 27 or so. Horrible for them... They will know that themselves, eventually...
That is a very cool idea I can't wait , obviously we are expecting the enhanced to do better, but how much better on a person Vs person basis , and trained by two coaches this is awesome , maybe involve a video in the video of you two and your strategies for their process and programming to see how mind frame is different knowing your person is natural and his is enhanced to see how it differs . Another thing I'm surprised no one spoke about, was that muscles grow bigger and stronger faster than tendons and joints which can literally have crippling effects long term , Ronnie as example or the numerous pec tears that happen , bicep tendons snapping etc Can't wait
Definitely appreciate the honesty! I have never respected cheaters and I am so glad I never got on them! I almost did at a bad time in my life. I am now 53 and can out do many teenagers at pullups etc and I just started working out again after 30 years! I know several people that juiced and they don't look so good now and one almost died from heart issues etc. I now have six kids and have been a Christian for over 20 years, so very glad I skipped the steroids!!! I wouldn't even respect myself if I had done what I always hated that others did... taking the easy way out, it catches up in most cases! God bless
The benefits of having high T are so significant and all encompassing for one's wellbeing that it makes chasing the perfect hormonal profile a worthy lifetime goal. You just feel good, do more, do better. I won't judge, but I would feel like a cheater if I did gear.
You can inject testosterone and not go overboard. If you stay at 1000ng/dl this is the level many athletes have naturally. Average ~30year old male can have 500-600 nowadays, so doubling that is perfectly safe with very little downsides.
@PogChamp-rq3bp That's why informed steroid users do post cycle therapy. Uninformed steroid users do continuous runs rather than cycles and never do PCTs.
I’m 57. 208 lbs at 6’2”. I fell and look amazing because I stayed natural and take care of my nutrition. TRT is something I’d never consider. What’s the point? Only your ego will be satisfied.
Wo this is a very amazing and superb video bro telling about this topic of what happen taking steroids for 30 days and keep it up and keep up the good work as always and take care Keep smiling always
Might be a hot take but I personally click off or scroll away whenever someone on the juice tries to give fitness advice (on YT shorts, Instagram reels, etc). I don’t know man, if you had to inject literal drugs into your veins to look the way you do then that’s not your effort that’s making the muscles, it’s just drugs doing what they do. That being said, shoutout to Jaws and Clement and being transparent for the sake of this video and providing their perspectives, nice to see some fellow Asian brothers too haha
@JeremyEthier Off Topic, but your Shorts on Lift Form are indispensable! The only one you're missing is Overhead Press! Then the collection would be complete!! Thanks for all you do, you rock!
Some youtubers claim steroids doesn't help that much. But as soon as you look online and see these 18-19-20 year olds getting 220-240lbs and being lean, you instantly know those youtubers are just talking shit to downplay the effects.
They keep going going back and forth on steroids/ testerone. Testerone doesn’t enlarge your heart but steroids will. The people who are dying from enlarged hearts and heart attacks are on heavy steroid use for long periods of time. Testosterone is safe if medically given and can be taken for years.
Great video. I'm a NASM-certified trainer and life-long natty lifter. I have this discussion with guys at least once per week. My most effective approach? Saying, "'Roids work," listing side-effects, and then asking them "Why do you want to take PEDs?" And keep asking "Why?" to the reasons they offer. They most often talk themselves out of it. Thus far, one exception: a person who wants to compete as a body builder and has a reasonable chance (based on physique.
I am natty 30 years old. Training for 1 year. Went from 60 lb squat to 310 lb. From 125 bench to 210 bench. Deadlift 100lbs to 300lbs. Gained 15 lbs+ of muscle in 1st year. People need to train smarter and harder. Most people dont need Steroids unless they are older and maxout their natty limit. But most people don't train hard, aren't at their limit, and don't train smart
Thanks for the vid, this is the good kind of education and experiences we need to learn. I find myself getting angry or feeling down sometimes because I am not bigger, then the temptation hits. I remind myself to be patient and respect my body.
Steroids are a dice roll, strong odds you get heaps of sides and average gains, I've seen so many people use in the last 21 years of training and only a few responded well.
The problem with taking steroids is that when in the future you have a serious health problem and need steroids for treatment is that they won’t work, which means you’re highly unlikely to survive.
Before anyone could even think about taking steroids or other drugs to improve their visual appearance, I would recommend going to hospitals to see how many people are fighting to have a normal and healthy life. In this way, you will probably take more value in what you already have and maybe not be willing to take the risk of throwing away your precious health.
Jeremy, thanks for this clip. I hope lots and lots of men see this, there are so many out there using weird combos with this drugs and not conscious about short and long term side effects. So cool that you brought in the knowledge from people who walked that path. My respect to them for being honest and sharing their intimacy. Thanks again.
also fitness is a lifestyle. If you lift properly as a natural and stay consistent you will see wonderful and aesthetic results down the line. No need to rush if it is part of your lifestyle
@@johannesschmitz6370 ....I agree. Keep it natural. And the results will be healthier and long lasting. The problem is that people want results fast. A lack of patience.
This is what we need, honest and frank conversations. I like Jeremy am a lifetime Natty and have accepted even with smart training, diet and sleep at 47 the gains ain't happening and its about maintaining. I have been super tempted to juice to kick start them gains I miss that I got in my early days, had my bloods done and found my levels good for my age. I will now 100% only consider TRT, by that I mean proper not self prescribed, by a qualified endocrinologist if and when they decide it to be beneficial
I took prednisone, which is a type of steroid typically prescribed by doctors, for about a week due to a foot issue, and I hated what it did to my body. The side effects were unpleasant, and it made me feel uncomfortable. I can't even imagine the impact that using anabolic steroids would have on someone over a long period. The health risks and potential for severe side effects must be incredibly high. Using steroids like that seems really dangerous and not worth the potential damage to your body and mind.
I took that a few months ago. It didn’t effect me tbh. Also had 0 impact on gym performance since its effect on testosterone is almost nothing. Prednisone isn’t anabolic.
30 days give literal 0 results. It takes about 6 weeks for the test to even kick in, I'm 8 weeks in and still haven't noticed any effect at all. It won't teleport gains onto you
What are you on and what dosage? Why didn't you start with a SARM? I agree that a month is too short to notice gains and in that sense, it's like creatine. It takes a month just to get the creatine, SARM, or steroids at peak levels in the bloodstream.
sorry to bum you out but you may not be a hyper responder as you hoped, 4 weeks is enough to see gains come in, unless you're taking clinically prescribed hrt dosages, you're ducked
Natty 4 Life, literally: Andreas Munzer, an Austrian bodybuilder known for his extremely low body fat levels and shredded physique. Munzer's excessive use of steroids, diuretics, and other performance-enhancing drugs led to severe health complications, including multiple organ failure. He died at the age of 31 due to these complications. Greg Kovacs, a Canadian bodybuilder known for his massive size. Kovacs experienced various health issues, including heart problems, which were attributed in part to his extreme use of steroids and other substances. He passed away in 2013 at the age of 44. Paul Demayo, a professional bodybuilder known for his impressive leg development, struggled with health issues related to steroid abuse. Demayo died from heart failure at the age of 38.
And one more very important thing: there is no long term magic pill, - for success and joy you have to work hard and sacrifice. Short term easy wins ruin the overall life's pleasure
Congrats! You've done a great job producing this video on an important topic. I loved the honesty and candidness of the guys you interviewed. I too am a lifetime natural and I chose that path way back when I was about your age with the same concerns you have.
This is a great video! I was planning on hopping on roids because of my body dysmorphia. I always feel like I'm not gaining muscles depite my efforts, but i was just too impatient. Thanks for this video Jeremy! 🇵🇭
