The child would become a dual national provided that one of the parents was also born/naturalised in Canada. This is how I have Canadian and US citizenship!

Is this the same case for someone who doesn’t use government assistance? I doubt they would have the same obstacles getting a visa later on and even eventually PR and citizenship.

If you give birth in a country where you are not a citizen does that mean you can be deported but not your child or if you take your child with you it’s considered kidnapping?

The parents are free to take their citizen child back home with them, or they can make other arrangements for them. The child may be a citizen, but the government cannot forcibly keep or remove that child.
