No it's Bill's fault why the Pinkertons find them. They show up a short while after Bill shows up probably because they followed him because he was asking every single person he seen where he could find his gang. And shortly after the Pinkertons show up one of the gang even tells bill something about him asking every single person he seen implying it was his fault
Nah it’s bills fault for the Pinkertons finding them didn’t you listen ti the dialogue bill said he asked every person where the gang was hood up then maybe they told the pinkertons cause if you read the letter first there’s no way for them to know there at la pkay other then bill asking.
Sadie wasn't to blame. If you read the letter first like you're supposed to instead of waiting around, then Arthur keeps the letter on him. So the Pinkertons never get to read the letter in the first place. It was either Bill being really loud and obvious that meant he got followed, or Micah as Agent Milton admitted that Micah was helping them at that point.
@@robertgrant008 No they only discover the letter while Arthur is there, if they'd discovered it on a previous visit they wouldnt have read it out again. Whether that's supposed to be a mistake by the developers or the Pinkerton's overlooked it the first time is anyone's guess. But they clearly only knew about the letter the second visit, otherwise why would they have kept searching the house for stragglers every day instead of heading to Lakay?
I believe it's Micah. Agent Milton said they picked Micah up after they returned from Guarma. That meant they knew Arthur, Dutch and the others were back as well. All of them was going to reunite with the gang eventually, meaning Micah lead them to the gang. But they waited and not attack outright to prevent suspicion on Micah. Micah blaming Bill is to help his own cover, especially as it is said Bill is an idiot and thus able to put the blame on him easily.
if you don't pick up the letter they will read the letter and find out where the camp is also. You can leave stealthily out of shady belle. note: I dashed in a straight line from van horn to shady belle in my first play through and found the camp by chance, or was it intended? but anyways if it wasn't bill it was sadie's letter that revealed camp location.
@@FWÆHHHHHHHHHH people don’t always understand sarcasm and that’s ok. Try to be nice and explain it to them. They might be autistic or something else so try to be kind. 👏🏼
I’m pretty sure Bill is the reason the pinkertons found them at Lakay. If you do the mission the correct way Arthur keeps the letter after he reads it and then he kills the pinkertons. Cut to Lakay, Bill runs in the house demanding beverages and talking about how he was asking all over town about the gangs whereabouts.
Nah it was Micah, Jim Milton said himself that they picked up Micah after they got back from guarma, and he cooperated with them probably until his death, which would explain how the pinkertons found John too
So my first time playing through I accidentally happened upon the camp in Lakay without making it to Shady Belle. I didn't know there was a letter from Sadie til now.
Does that mean you missed the whole bit where Unshaken plays on the ride to shady belle? Because that was the part where I realised this game was a masterclass
It’s clear that bill brought them by accident he was the last to show up at lagras. The letter at shady belle is kept by Arthur if he reads it. Once the Pinkertons read it you have to kill them.
It’s Micah who leads them there because Agent Milton tells Arthur that they picked up Micah when they got back from Guarma, that’s why Micah accuses Bill so strongly
@@jackcnelson2I don't think Micah told them were lakay was tbh. Micah appeared to have found the camp around the same time as Arthur did and when the cutscene fades to black he is seen sleeping beside Uncle. Where would he had the time to rat out their location if he had only been back for a couple hours at most at that point?Plus even if he did rat out Laykay's location Im sure he would smart enough be absent when the pinkertons showed and not take his chances with a gattling gun. I think Bill was the one who screwed up here tbh. No way Micah would risk his life like that.
@@mirongaines64 kidneped by the Braithwaits family and then they gave Jack to Mr. Bronti it was Dutch's fault all of it. Abigail would be angry enough and the robberying on Saint Denis' bank I think she played it well... John Marston was not killed by the Pinkentons and she was the only one who could scape from there. Very odd...
I know... this kind of argue can be easily broke if anyone remember Jack was there in the camp when the Pinkentons appeared and started shooting all Dutch's gang... Maybe the Pinkentons were pretending to her... whatever... or... maybe the rat could be one of those you guys don't remember to mension it Maybe the rat must be GAVIN...
If you burn Micahs body, It turns him into a stranger and you can toss his body off the side of the mountain AND THEN the freaking door unlocks where you found the gold at the end
"if you wait too long after reading the letter a cutscene will take place bringing you to lakay" nope that just happens when you leave shady Belle mate. just as you did. you left shady Belle and then the cutscene started.
Crazy thing is after returning from guarma I just ran on foot towards the mission & somehow ended up running into the new hideout , well .. where they were hiding out 😂
Sadie's letter wasn't the reason the gang got found, it was in fact Micah. When Arthur goes to free Abigal with Sadie, Agent Milton tells Arthur how they picked up Micah right after he got off the boat from Guarma and how he helped the Pinkertons.
Milton could've lied and just told Arthur what he presumed he would've wanted to hear. I forgot what detail it was but I started thinking "why, how, and/or when would they have met after the group got back from Guarma. Why would it have been Micah, specifically?..." I racked my head awhile thinking on it but was too pissed off at Micah in general already to come up with a concrete answer.
@@Loowis007 Why would Milton lie to Arthur if he was going to kill him? Also, if Micah didn't know about lakay, how did he end up there? Micah was the rat after they arrived from Guarma but i think there was another one because pinkertons were always showing up long before lakay
@@rafawars_ as far as the pinkertons always showing up, wherever they were prior to Lakay, i'd say it's a probable assumption that they've been on the gang's trail each time they do something big, like the ferry incident in the beginning, the train heist in the mountains which was more notable since it was Cornwall's and he's the oil man and that's probably what really helped point them in the gang's direction, the robbery in Valentine, the Grey/Braithewaite stuff in Rhodes, and then the trolley heist in Saint Denis. Being feds and all, they probably got in touch with each towns' officials and asked for descriptions and assessed patterns and tracked directions that way. Hence the bank job going to shit and ultimately the Guarma trip even happening. As for Micah... as I said, the pinkertons are feds, but the really shady types. Hell they're so heavy-handed they killed Hosea in broad daylight. What reason would Milton even have to tell the truth? They could've gotten his name from the aftermath of what happened in Strawberry. Like "who was busted out? We may have reason to believe he's with this Van der Linde gang we're following. Oh he's the violent and unsavory sort. Good to know..." Also, word travels and eventually they end up hearing it. And again I forgot the detail that made me think Micah didn't really bring them to Lakay. That doesn't mean he isn't capable, nor change the fact he's a pos and still deserved getting shot to hell in the epilogue. I just don't think Milton had any real reason to tell the truth one way or the other.
0:59 “This is the first bounty hunting mission, which then lets you do the other bounty hunting missions.” true genius. honestly, he could be a brain surgeon.
@@dingodog711 he meant the poster. It’s in Van Horn for some reason not Valentine. The bounty and the original location of the poster is in Valentine of course
It couldn’t have been sadies fault.. the objective is to “deal with the pinkertons” so if the narrative is followed, all those pinkertons will end up dead so reading the letter won’t go anywhere. And if Arthur reads the letter he will take it with him.. so the only way it could be sadies fault is if Arthur leaves the letter behind or leaves any pinkertons alive having read the letter.
Actually, it couldn't have been any of their fault because Sadie made the letter sound like they were visiting their relative at the Bayou. There is another youtube video showing what would happen if the pinkertons found the letter first. I may be not remembering it correctly but this is what I remember.
I fought them all, but I noticed they do try and retreat, I think I killed them all but I can't imagine it would have been hard to miss one getting away. Be interesting to see what hsppens for me
You can also sneak out undetected and ride away. The first time I played through the mission I circled around to the back of the house because I wanted to secure the perimeter before going in. I went in the back door and headed upstairs first thing. Then the Pinkerton's arrived, read the letter, and I just snuck out undetected and rode off. The mission doesn't force you to kill them, and I think it makes more sense for Arthur to take the cautious route and not kill them. He would have gained nothing from doing so, they were just low level agents.
Maybe it is Sadies fault , but how could Arthur find them if she didn't leave the letter? It was a Lose lose situation. Either Arthur finding them or the pinkertons
For a channel with over 3m subscribers, The analytics on this channel is absolutely shocking...Only 1 video out of the last 20 has gained more than 100k views and another 2 has gone above 50k (at time of writing this). It would be interesting to know out of 3m subscribers, what percentage is:- 1. Over 13 years old 2. Mr Boss Alter-Ego's 3. People just here to troll MrBoss
Personally - I never watch more than 10-30 seconds of any video. I am here purely for the trolls.... which are usually pretty entertaining. I just go to the middle of any video he does and see if I correctly predicted what he'd be talking about.
I know a lot of people say that Dutch had brain damage and went crazy after the trolly accident in Saint Denis, and I agree but I think he went more crazy when he was on Guarma
Actually - there are clues that he already was dealing with a serious personality disorder in Ch 2 and 3. Have you ever seen him coldly tell Arthur out of the blue that he believes Arthur will betray him one day? I have seen this dialog as early as the second Valentine main mission. Watch the way he interacts with Molly - he loves that she's so in love with him, but it's obvious he doesn't care two figs about her... he enjoys the power play. Or when he threatens to kill Uncle - and then blows it off by saying "Just Kidding" (words that _rarely_ mean the person was actually _just_ kidding). All of this is waaaay before the Trolley heist. Dutch is most certainly dealing with narcissism and a variation of anti-social behavior tacked on as well. I suspect he repressed his darker side for a long time but something in Blackwater snapped (probably with a little nudge from Micah) when he killed that girl. Dutch most likely found it harder and harder to repress his "dark passenger" (to borrow from 'Dexter' I believe) after Blackwater. Getting his bell rung in the trolley accident probably just lowered his inhibitions more quickly. Also, you find out that Arthur has been having concerns for Dutch's behavior for quite awhile in his journal and in the conversation he starts to have with John in "Sheep and Goats" at the end of Chapter 2.
It's mentioned several times that something changed in Dutch since the Blackwater robbery. I remember Arthur saying something about Dutch killing an innocent woman in cold blood during the heist. There's no 1 definite moment that you can see where Dutch changes, as it's a slow gradual change that's happening right from the start of the story.
The letter wasn't responsible for them finding them in lakay as Arthur takes it before the pinkertons can find it It was Bill asking around that aroused suspicion.
i think the events of guarma and lakay are what made micah decide to turn rat..milton said he picked him up after they got back from the carribean but he did not say exactly when...its possible that they followed bill its also possible they already knew and were waiting to see if dutch would show up..
I think Micah was already giving them info since they first realise there's a rat when they rob the Saint Denis bank and the police show up out of nowhere, being that Micah was one of the guys in the mission. Unless there really was a second rat (in this case, before Micah) and it was either Javier or Bill (since they also were at the mission).
@@richmoeckel7682 if u watch the cutsence bill shows up and says he was asking everyone in town where they were then the Pinkerton s show up. The gang definitely blames bill.I pretty sure they got Micah after this mission.
If you don't take the letter from Shady Belle and go straight to Lakay, doesn't that basically make it Arthur's fault the Pinkerton's find them in Lakay?
No. Pay attention to the cutscene at Shady Belle. The only reason they take a closer look in the first place is because one of the agents notices Authur's fresh footprints.
no joke when I was playing rdr2 for the first time when I got back from guarma I didnt take the horse because I didnt see it so I ran all the way to shady belle and on my way there i ran into the new camp at lakay and like I said it was my first time
Pretty sure that not only do you take the letter with you, but even if it’s read by pinkertons clearly for the first time, you kill them all so I don’t think you can blame Sadie for them showing up
It's not Sadie's fault, the player should pick up the letter first. Secondly, it's Bill who asked everyone and drew attention to himself leading them to Lakay.
Every time I've done that mission I've killed all those guys that come looking at Shady Belle. So no one would really get the news that they were at lakay. If they all get killed at Sadie Belle by Arthur, then Bill lured the authorities to Lakay by asking everyone he could find where the gang had gone.
Micah could've possibly met up with the Pinkertons upon arriving back before going to Lagras and told the Pinkertons, Milton did say they picked Micah up when he got back from Guarma. So Micah causing it could be a possibility.
@@bozotheclown_1993 Micah was the rat the entire time. After all they got busted so much by them that Micah was working with them the entire time. Like Micah could have set them up the entire time since he didn’t run with the gang and wasn’t even in the camp. Since they had to move camp so much.
How can someone put out such bad content so shamelessly? Obviously he wants money but doesn't he have a little bit of respect and need to make something good? Smaller creators who make content 50x the effort get view counts not even near this guy's and it just makes me angry. PS this comment is probably gonna get deleted but whatever.
Red dead redemption 2 is the greatest game of all time, it's a masterpiece. Arthur is the greatest character. It just makes me happy 😊. A game from another planet developed by aliens
Mr.boss: it wasn't saddies fault cuz when Arthur reads the letter he puts it in his satchel, So the letter ain't there no more. therefore it had to be sum one else prolly Molly. As it states she told them n hoped Dutch would die in the fight. I mean I guess u could say that if u let the pinkertons read the letter but I think almost every person found the letter before they showed up. Plus I'm pretty sure it's canon that Molly ratting was y they were ambushed in lakay but I'm not 100% sure. Sry kinda long
How could they know about the place when I killed everyone who knows about the letter and if the letter was there before then why didn't they knew about that letter or put the letter away so they can pick peacefully the gang apart one by one. Micah told them obviously.
Has anyone ever actually traveled to Guarma. Me I haven't, however in 2008, I did travel to Puerto Rico and more recently this past March, 2021, I traveled to Querétaro, México. So I don't know if anyone has ever traveled to Guarma.
