What? Go Bank is the exact type of different and experimental heist you would expect out of early post-launch PD2... OVERKILL hasn't done a cool and unique heist in years.
@@arkaua Buluc's Mansion being mid? Mountain Master? What are you? Insane? Especially with Mountain Master being one of the only heists with a final boss that does something.
3:02 "...you would expect the game to work..." LOOOOOOOOOL This is _Payday 2_ we're talking about here, game's held together with duct tape, hot glue, prayers, and an unidentifiable food product that's somehow acting as an effective adhesive.
>tf2 pfp of course you repeat ad nauseam about unstable game code. think for yourself for once please. learn to appreciate the effort in programming a game, or at least criticize with arguments you didn't just find a few days ago in a r/tf2 thread :/
@@charlesOFFICIALyt as a matter of fact, I am learning to appreciate the effort in making a game! And even if I weren't, that doesn't mean my statements are invalid. Maybe those redditors you despise (yet still interact with) have a point - I don't think a stable game is too much to ask for. I've spent nearly 500 hours heisting, almost a hundred more than I have on TF2. These are rookie numbers in comparison to many, but not insignificant by any means. Payday is the most unstable game I've ever played, to the point where I tired of attempting to exorcize whatever demon was crashing me on the daily, and have since given up on playing entirely. The game is running on an engine meant for _driving simulators._ All that being said, I can understand that you do care about Payday, and I can see that you don't like people dissing the thing you enjoy. Even so, that doesn't mean honest criticism is a bad thing. Some words of advice, from one random idiot to another: Don't go looking for an argument. Stay off of reddit. I'm doing just fine without it, myself. And, despite the internet being a beautiful hellscape, that doesn't mean it's illegal to be polite. Thanks for coming to my TED Talk; Drive safe.
@@charlesOFFICIALyt he ain't wrong tho, this game is filled to the brim with bugs/glitches and oversights, but it doesn't mean that it's not enjoyable. Also 90% of the bugs is due to the poor game engine choise, like, Diesel engine? Wtf?
Trueee! It took me a while to understand what you were saying, but indeed this was actually just a PvP map from CS:GO. Really amazing that they managed to turn it into such a nice heist :D
Haha! My old crew used to fail the codes all the time, so I learnt very early on that there's plenty of time to get the codes :D It would be cool if it was more punishing somehow, especially for full crews :p
@@thundercockjackson That was an interesting mechanic back in the day! Always very risky if you were not confident in your memory. Fortunately they removed the RNG / misleading lines, so now you always know if he gave you the right ingredient or not (just by listening to the second sentence that he says right after suggesting an ingredient) :D
That would be an interesting mechanic! Perhaps you could survive if you got away from the phone, while everyone else gets downed :p On a more serious note however: it's one of the best voicelines from the heist! Really goofy haha
I remember once when I was playing Payday 2 in pub, that we missed the codes ('cuz we were all new players) and the security team arrived and I thought we were boned with the pagers, because like 2 gen sec guards and 3 blue cops arrived to the scene... luckly, the cops didn't have pagers. I was so confused and happy that they didn't after the stress of thinking the stealth was over.
Haha very relatable yeah! Back when I was a new heister, me and my crew always messed up the codes... and shortly after we got Rogers' men as well, every time. Luckily those 3 blue cops don't have pagers :D
Dear lord, this actually happened to me, playing solo stealth. I scrambled to escape with what loot I could, luckily made it in time before the arriving cops became an issue
Haha nice! I myself have only seen it once (and it's so rare!) but definitely many others have experienced it as well. Glad you at least managed to get out with some loot :D
I feel like the guard layout being what it was shows they wanted to keep the "dominated guards dont page pagers" mechanic around but they forgot to touch this heist after the updates
Hmm that's hard to say! The mechanic preventing Bain's lies from failing when you get the truck was there from the beginning, so for me it looks like the opposite... like they somehow already had the hard limit of 4 in mind! Very interesting thought though :D
Wow, I've finally been featured on Marcmb's channel! Although I haven't played for like a month (?). About this moment, honestly I only wrote "code, track outside" because she asked for the code and I didn't even think that more guards could come, in fact I thought that the game itself would not send you 6 guards! But I would have totally agreed not to give her the codes to see what would happen, damn :c
No worries GVZ! I totally didn't know about this interaction until we got that insanely lucky 0.6% chance on that run. I wouldn't have investigated (or made the video) if that didn't happen, so it's absolutely cool that we didn't get the full thing on that first run, since it's still the one that sparked the interest :D
Huh interesting! I've never gotten that one, but I'm sure there are many that I've never heard (even after hundreds of runs), considering there are so many that I've only heard once or twice, like the one at 7:30 which is extremely rare!
What I know from go bank is if you keep running the mission. That bitch will keep sending the gen sec to check. At that time you will see 2 car outside the road.
In overkill's logic. If you meet some rare situation ,they design to make you fail (which is impossible to finished). Because the others(most) situation will make game work normally.
Yup 100% vanilla hahaha! I think at some point they had an open contest where people could send their lines, and some of them are great. This one is very rare, and it's one of my favorites! :D
Hey Faby! Indeed, the community on PC still has many players, with a daily player count of 30K to 50K online players. Unfortunately I don't know how active the community is on console, but I do know that it's smaller compared to PC :(
Hahaha exactly! If this ever ever happens, definitely remember this. But the chance is literally lower than the open vault variation, so very unlikely to happen :p
Interesting thought Jang! My old crew used to fail the codes ALL THE TIME so I learnt very quickly that the punishment is her sending the guards haha :D
Oooh that's great to hear Icy! Sometimes, something about the pace of the video, or the BGM, just makes it very relaxing and allows you to fall asleep. For those days when you might be struggling to get some sleep, hopefully some of my videos can help with that! :D
Very true goose! That's because sniper rifles have "Armor Penetration", which allows bullets to go through thin walls, for example those fences. Shotguns with AP slugs or other weapons with armor penetration would work as well!
Hey azzoriff! A simple "pager juggle" can be done by 2 heisters simply taking turns answering a pager. A "double juggle" is a slight variation where 3 heisters juggle 2 pagers at the same time. They still have to take turns, but also every time someone takes over the pager for you, you have to run to the other pager to take over for the other juggler. Same concept, but a bit more complex! If you have 4 heisters actively juggling, you can simply have 2 regular pager juggles (with 2 heisters on each pager), which is always easier :p
Hey Angzarr! It's true that it auto-fails if you cancel the answer, but there is an exception if another heister has the same pager answer in progress. I have a detailed tutorial here: hope this helps! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-xyj66Xl1QKs.html
@@Marcmb Oh now that is interesting! I'm glad they have that safe guard in place cause I could see 2 people doing a pager at the same time, one guy saying he's got it and the other guy stops to go do something. Doubt the devs expected that safe guard to become a tool lol
Hey TimTwo! HoxHUD wasn't exactly banned, but it stopped being developed/updated a loooong time ago. However, the mod that I use for those features is actually PocoHUD3. In the video description I have a link to my modding video, where you can find the download links, the install instructions, and everything like that!
Good question WespectRamen! I have a skill called _Stockholm Syndrome_ which causes civilians to be intimidated by noise that I make. Thus, by simply sawing anything periodically, I generate a noise with a range of 75m that keeps civilians intimidated for around ~45s. Very useful for this map, and other control heists!
@@Marcmb ohh so thats how that perk works! I was wondering why ppl were screaming when i would saw open things. I thought by noise, it meant just shouting. Thank you for the clarification :)
Absolutely yeah! This has been possible ever since the heist was released, so it's not something new or anything. It's just very rare because it's overall a 0.6% chance, which is even rarer than the free open vault! :D
Hey Jake! In old versions of the game, you used to need some skills to even buy it. Nowadays, at Level 20-something you can just go to weapons store, and buy it as a primary weapon.
Hey scout! I have EP02 fully scripted and ready, but it's not on my TO-DO list yet because there are other things that I want to prioritize... Hopefully soon!!
Yes! I originally learnt it from Levi Barber (look up his GO Bank speedrun), usually I link his video on the top right but here it was a very minor scene so I didn't think about it!
Very unfortunate yup :( Sadly the console versions are very outdated, and the devs have confirmed they are never going to catch up, since they moved on to PAYDAY 3...
Hey Slightly Trou6led! Unfortunately a big majority of heisters on these comments play on PC, so it might be a bit hard to find other players... I recommend joining the official PAYDAY 2 Discord: they have some channels dedicated to Looking for Players, and one of them is specifically for PS4 / PS5 players!
I imagine this scenario is intended behavior. Because it's such a trivially easy task to find the time lock codes, they didn't bother to implement a check to see how many guards had already been called. Just a case of "Welp, it's the players' own fault if they take too long to find the codes."
Very interesting opinion Neko! That could make sense indeed, nowadays it's impossible to fail the code task (unless you're trying really hard to just ignore it, as seen in the clip) so it makes sense they wouldn't implement anything for it.
Unrelated to the video, but I've always wondered why would they sound the alarm if a guard disconnects from a a call. I suppose it makes if the guard doesn't answer at all since it could be some some medical issue (more or less deliberately caused), but I never understood why would they call the entire US Army because a guard disconnected from a call without trying to contact them again or something
"Hmm...Where did John go? Hey! Status report!" "Nothing happening over here control, I was just-" "He disconnected from the call? Something must be happened to him, sound the alarm and call the army!"
Haha! I wasn't planning on getting distracted while recording that clip, but it's just too satisfying to participate :p One of the best PAYDAY2 mechanics!
I just hope every heist in Payday 3 is like GO Bank. Even if it were only a handful of big differences on each map, that would be a great boost for replay value
Absolutely agree yup! Well not necessarily every single one because it might take forever to develop, but at least a few. GO Bank is one of my favorites because of all the random events, and every run being different.
Yup that's even rarer! It's a 1% on top of a 3%, so overall a 0.03% (compared to the 0.6% showcased in this video). I wanted to mention that as well, but sadly this scenario is a lot more straightforward since people often just ECM, go in for the money, and escape right after :p (especially since there's 5 pager guards from the beginning in this situation, so there isn't much room for other strategies!)
i remember getting this run when i had like 20 hours in the game and panicing and being confused about how to do this mission in stealth... after 6 years now i know that my first ever stealth run on it was really unlucky (or lucky if u want to see it that way)
Haha wow! I would say lucky for sure: it's such a rare combined event, and a very nice experience to have. Of course very unlikely to succeed at that point in your criminal career, but still a great experience :p
Before I get past the intro I want to say if I remember correctly, you won't get a phonecall if you get the 3% chance. Will edit once I finish the vid Edit: I remembered wrongly lol, it was 100% of not getting guards. Still cool fact for people who doesnt know about it!.
Haha I don't blame you Pyro, for remembering wrong! I had always assumed that the truck spawning negated both the chance of Bain's lies being unsuccessful, and the chance for Hilary to request the codes. It was only when I got this very rare run (0.6%) where she asked for the codes that I started wondering if something like this would be possible :D
I've been loving the content and I'd love to see more, I was wondering if you could make a DLC recommendation? Which ones are good to get or must haves and so on.
Thank you very much Nugenplayer! Glad to hear you've been enjoying the content :) I had not considered making DLC recommendations, but that's actually a great suggestion! In the near future I'll make a video recommending some great DLC for stealth in general, and ECM rushing. In the context of stealth, some recent ones like Black Cat and Mountain Master are amazing. The old classics (Big Bank, The Diamond...) are great too, but those are already included in the Ultimate Edition, which is definitely a good purchase when it goes on sale!
now you made me curious, this is the one with the blackmailer correct, I don't have a lot of experience on GO bank, but theoretically is it possible to get all 6 pager guards and then get blackmailer?
Hey Christian! That's a very good point actually. Just as you say, this is the heist with the blackmailer, and his appearance is just a chance that you get when you pick up the phone before the vault opens... So technically, that should be possible as well :D
Yeah in the shackle black tablet heist map I’ve learned out of playing it so damn much that in rare occasions there’ll be a guard that randomly walks all of outside on the 2nd floor. Had it happen to me twice
Hey meto! Definitely planned yup. I was going to start publishing it at the end of August, but my schedule got really chaotic and I've been low on time lately. Hopefully soon: stay tuned!
Well spotted! Haha most of my completions are either Death Sentence (the only difficulty I play nowadays) or Death Wish, before the DS patch came out :D
They should have a loud heist kinda like this, with extra stuff to juggle, and I dont mean more drills, or more electrical boxes with a time lock, I mean you have a uninterruptible task that takes a few mins, all while racing across the map to fix things that are all time and chance based, not cop hit thing=thing break, cop swarm=thing never get fixed for long
I absolutely agree! I think that a loud heist with more side objectives and constant points of no return (i.e., time limits to complete tasks one after the other) would be a very interesting concept. Perhaps for PAYDAY3!
@@Marcmb Stealth has a lot of mechanics in place to keep it entertaining, not just wait for drill, move, wait, move, but I find the constant grind on loud of wait, kill, move, also boring sometimes
Hey chec! It's a bit unfair yup, but most importantly it's a shame for all the console players that are missing out on this amazing content, new heists and weapons... Unfortunately all console versions got left behind yeah :( PS3, Xbox, PS4, Xbox One, Switch... last year they released a statement saying that it would be impossible to make any further DLC for consoles (confirming this is going to be their state forever because of the engine limitations), so I'm just hoping they will do better with PAYDAY 3 because the engine issues will be gone (now using Unreal Engine 4)...
@@Marcmb okay then can you answer one question for me this has been puzzling me for years if we take the same software that is on the X1 or better software that's on the new series x that I haven't gotten yet why can't they make the same specifications and performance capabilities as a PC so for a console so that the content like this can be eligible for all platforms
The game can barely even run properly on PC, no wonder why they didnt bother with console + console version barely had ppl to begin with... Idk why overkill bothered to make the game for the switch (the entire reason of why the hacker perk exists lol)
The common theory among the community is that the army are just a bunch of mass-produced clones, so that's why they can afford to mindlessly send so many, to any of the heists :p
I am so glad that I have silent assassin. This heist is a nightmare solo when the gensec guys come, thanks to Silent Assassin, I don’t need to worry about pagers when I have to land a collateral
Hey again Wowkanye! With some mods there are definitely more ways to deal with this yup. It's a fun way to get gameplay variety, although even without mods there are always tricks to save the run!
I went through Framing Frame so many times Solo Stealth. Got to a point where I had the 6th guard in day 1 roaming around while the security door was still closed and the other guards were dealt with. Sometimes I can get last couple paintings, but he usually sees the one guard cuffed. It gets annoying but I learned if you take out the four roamers first and leave the desk guard alone. That 6th guard does not show, which saves me time on my runs.
Interesting info Matt! Personally I've always finished DAY1 shortly before the bonus guard has a chance to appear, so I've never noticed this... I might look into these alternatives if they ever increase the difficulty!
I just got the truck also the vault was open dude!! But we were dumbass and couldnt do the heist and restart it second time vault was open again with truck outside and we failed again
Hey lowell! All that information (enemy health, timers on the top left corner...) is being displayed by my HUD mod, which is PocoHUD. If you're interested, you can find my MODDING VIDEO in the description, which has install instructions, and download links. Hope this helps! :D
@@Marcmb yes it will I've been getting into payday 2 late and I want a mod to help with health and timers (not that I need it but I would rather have it to give myself a little bit more fun)
Hey legit! I've never checked how far it can go, but for the purposes of making a choice between tying individual civs or controlling the entire map, assuming they are endless is the superior choice I would say!
i remember something sort of the same once got 5 pagers on jewerly store normally there is always 4 gaurds never seen this happen before or again strange payday 2 moment
Hey Tombom! In PAYDAY 2, every time you take out a guard (by either killing them, or dominating them), you get a call from the security operator and you have to pick it up within 12s (this is what we call "pagers") or he sounds the alarm. You can only answer a maximum of 4 pagers, as the 5th one is too suspicious and he raises the alarm anyway. Hope that clears it up! :)
True true! Technically an additional 2 cops, although they are blue so no pagers. It's nice to think about the scenario to get as many as possible though :D
Hey pullup! If you have 4 heisters actively juggling, you can simply have 2 regular pager juggles (with 2 heisters on each pager), which is always easier :p You can see a better example here, where we only had a 3-man crew and I was part of the double-juggle: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-j29hFa3VjN4.html
Hey Sarek! HoxHUD unfortunately stopped getting updates a few years ago... but this is quite similar in some aspects, called PocoHUD. If you're interested in my mods (and download links, install instructions...) I have a video with all that in the video description!
I watched this just because I didn't know of any PD2 myths. I thought it would cover more than one. ...double juggling really doesn't seem worth the effort.
Hope you enjoyed this particular myth The Song! I have some other ones on a playlist in my channel. Things like whether tapping or holding is better for saws, or jumping vs. walking while carrying heavy bags... I usually do one at a time to focus in-depth on it. And yeah double juggling is a lot of trouble, very easy to mess up even with experienced jugglers :p
Okay, before i watch past the first 54 seconds. I know it can happen, it happened on my best solo stealth run of this map to date. However the game was way way way different back in the earlier days. So i have no clue about it now.
Ouchhh hahaha that's a shame! Very unique way to fail the heist at least, which is better than failing it some other way... And indeed it does still happen nowadays, very cool to see :D
Hey zocker! It's a short term for "juggling two pagers simultaneously" (I try to keep my video sentences short to make the reading less heavy). Basically 2 heisters can juggle 1 pager (the usual method), 3 heisters can juggle 2, and 4 heisters can juggle 3. Very good for some advanced cheese strategies!
Very true Rayquaza! Although I do feel like it's more professional to complete the heists in pacifist mode in general (especially for the civs), so I tend to kill as little civs as possible :p
Pretty much yup! Really fun and really useful. For regular gameplay I prefer all the RNG variations, but when I want to explore something very rare, the mod is a godsend!
Haha unlucky! For me it's also quite rare (but when it spawns, it's a bit of a disappointment... don't ask why!), so perhaps it's slightly lower than 3% on the current update. Who knows!
Hey Samiska! Sorry for the late response. That's PocoHUD3, and I have a video in the description that lists all my mods with install instructions and download links. Hope that helps! :D
Haha that's one way to beat the heist, for sure! I personally wouldn't be able to do it, because the chance is so low (1%) and you spend so much time just looking at loading screens...
Hahaha! At this point it's part of the charm of the game: some things work, and other things are completely broken... and that's part of why we love it :D
Aww... it's a nice experience to play it solo, but still a bit sad :( If you would like to play some co-op, make sure to join our Steam group! It's on the video description :D
@@Marcmb overall I don't mind solo payday (depending on who you play with, solo is sometimes easier anyway + online with randoms has the risk of other players getting angry over nothing and kicking you instantly... or right before the end of the heist, always fun -_-) but go bank just stresses me out with the phone and the lasers XD so I only play it loud. I have no idea how steam groups work since I've never really looked at all that but I'll join! Might be fun to get back into some online gameplay (and payday in general cause I shouldn't let 1200+ hours of experience go to waste... not until payday 3 comes out)
