This is what happens when the sorting hat chooses Ravenclaw for you in Hogwarts Legacy. This is the unique dialogue that occurs. Full video of all 4 house dialogues are on my main channel.
Does anyone wondered why they didn't started magic drug manufacturing wizards circle? Like half of Hogwarts subjects could teach you. Whereas Voldemort and his crew literally looked like drug addicts
Simple question: Logically the egg came first, but from what we know the riddles in the Ravenclaw tower are more then simple logic. Live itself is a circle and creation is always alligned with destruction. So I think that the answer is: A circle has no beginn or ending.
Imagine the other students arriving at the Great Hall and seeing all the Ravenclaws sleeping on the floor because nobody could solve the fckn riddle LOL
At that point I would hope Professor Flitwick would take pity on his house and solve the riddle for them, reminding them on the way in that "It is never unwise to ask for assistance. The greatest discoveries are often found in collaboration." Or something like that.
actually that would be funny af, giving random answers that are technically true, like "what does a desk and a ghost have in common?" "the fcking letter S"
A ghost was alive at some point. They exist when a person dies but have unfinished business in the living world, or when they just cannot accept their demise. Poltergeists, on the other hand, are Non-Human Spiritous Aparitions, a.k.a non-beings. That means that Poltergeists have never been alive to begin with. They typically form in places full of children and teenagers, as they enjoy the chaos. Poltergeists will only haunt one place at a time. That means that Peeves, for example, will never haunt any place apart from Hogwarts. As non-beings Poltergeists are amortal (they can never die for they've never been alive). Other examples of Non-human Spiritous Aparitions/non-beings are Dementors, Boggarts and possibly Banshees.
her answer is what is it. lived is a past participle of live.. past participle of lived is not an implication that they are dead since its only the past not the opposite. so equating a non-being into the word “lived” implies that they are still alive with the past of living. Ghost is not considered “that had lived” since ghost is a different form which is not in essence a human being which means the word live cannot be used to its form since its not alive. If the Crow said who lived longer the dead or the ghost then that means the dead is the answer.
Me too buddy. Although I think that ravenclaw's sometimes Solve the Riddle together so you might be able to get away with nodding enthusiastically and making noises at the right points in the conversation in order to get in.
Imagine the other students arriving at the Great Hall and seeing all the Ravenclaws sleeping on the floor because nobody could solve the fckn riddle LOL
@@methuselah8885 yes I believe so. But there is a ton of debate on it. The way she answers it is vague, but yes I believe the answer is ghost as you have explained it.
Ravenclaw door: What....Is the air speed velocity of an unladden swallow? MC: What do you mean? African or European Swallow? Ravenclaw door: Huh? I didn't know that? *Door exploded*
This is why if you’re a Ravenclaw you gotta leave for the day with absolutely everything and triple check. I imagine some Ravenclaw friends all asking each other if they have everything before leaving for classes lmao
Imagine being chased by a basilisk and the door wont open cus you dont know what is what😂 Edit: omg guys please don't attack me😭, i was just joking. I just thought a basilisk can't speak so how th it will answer the riddle on the door. So quick assumption, the common room would be just as safe to run to.🧘
@@_Bloom_307 well, I'm kidding. She was crying over what a classmate of hers said, but it's funny to imagine that it was because she got locked out of the common room.
Only problem with this riddle: you have to know ahead of time that a poltergeist isn't a phantom of the deceased like a regular ghost. Poltergeist literally means "noisy ghost", so many would think it is just a ghost that likes to cause trouble.
That’s why there are four slots. Make new saves, pick different houses, KILL THOSE WHO STAND IN YOUR WAY!!! *coughs* sorry I had a frog in my through. I meant to say “pick different conversation options. KEEP ZENOBIAS GOBSTONES AND GRACE PINCH-SMEDDLY’S ASTRO THINGY!!! MAKE PEOPLE PAY TO GET THEIR SH*T BACK!!!
Personally, I would't mind some tricky questions, just for fun, but it's so kind from Avalanche that they didn't destroyed the game with tougher trials. This scene is so touching 💙💙
As a Ravenclaw of many years, who is absolutely *abysmal* when it comes to riddle solving, it has been my long held belief that I would never be able to get into my Commonroom without help. I'd be that sad student who is just sitting by the door, re-evaluating my life, and waiting for a fellow Ravenclaw to come save me. I'd be the one obsessing over my schedule and organizing it to Hell and back, just so I can fugure out how to avoid the door as much as possible. Whenever people see me studying, it'll actually be me going over said schedule, or looking up answers to as many riddles as possible... I would get no proper schoolwork done. My life would revolve around my frustrations of interacting with this door.
@@LordTalax What part of that makes me a poor Ravenclaw? You do realize that not all Ravenclaws are the same, right? You do know that not all Ravenclaws are genius book nerds who know the answer to every question and riddle, correct? What makes a Ravenclaw isn't intelligence. It's a strong love for learning. (What you want to learn could be anything.) Just because I royally suck at riddles doesn't mean I don't love to learn. I very much *do* love learning. I don't need to be a riddlemaster to prove myself a true Raveclaw. That's just ridiculous.
@silversamurai0267 plus the sorting hat could've put a person in ravenclaw due to them love learning but not intelligent enough like a stereotypical ravenclaw so that it'll challenge them to learn more and help them become more intelligent and being around those who are will help the student become more intelligent. though that's just a guess in my part anyways I'm a hufflepuff not a ravenclaw so honestly I don't know lol
@@BooksInTheVoid That wouldn't aways be possible. There will undoubtedly be times when I need in, but there are no other Ravenclaws around. Certainly, if we're all walking back after eating dinner then I don't have to worry. But what if I left something in the dorm as we're om our way to classes? I could ask a friend to help, but then we'll both be late. That's if I even manage to make friends. I'm an anti-social introvert. Odds are I won't have anyone to ask. And knowing my luck, whenever I need into the dorm will almost always be when no one else is going in. I'm really not joking when I say that this door would be my undoing.
When I started playing the Hogwarts legacy and my character received an acceptance letter to the school which was signed off as "Pr. Weasley" my first reaction was like "did Ron become a professor?" 😲 But soon after, as I dived into the game, I realised that my character was like in the 19th century, so no chance for Ron to be a professor, unfortunately 😅
Yeah, the Weasley's are actually pureblood wizards and witches until Ron and Hermione. They just weren't dicks about it like the Malfoys or Blacks. I mean Bellatrix disowned her whole sisters side of the family just cuz she fell in love with a muggle lol, even tried to kill her niece.
The funny thing is there aren’t exact answers to any riddles the eagle speaks, just as long as the student uses their mind and wit to come up with any answer to the question. I’d have said a ghost because they were once a living being and a poltergeist is the essence of a place, not actually alive.
I have no clue why a riddler can be a good option to keep safe your room. Literally everyone in each house has brilliant minds, who can do the same (for example Hermione) , so bad idea. The safest password is Hufflepuff because you have to follow a sequence in the correct knock, which you don't know, and if you miss the first time you will be doused in Vinegar, something really fucked up. Griffyndoor and Slytherin are fine as well. Ironically the most intelligent house founder screwed up badly here.
In the harry potter universe "Ghosts" arent actually souls of dead humans but imprints of people who have lived. So they never technically lived and are classified as "Non beings" same as poltergeists or boggarts. I'll admit its confusing if you dont know that is the distinction. Because the mc gives the correct answer which is neither.
See, I thought it was the Poltergeist because the peeves the Poltergeist is made up of the living Energies of teenagers according to lore, and ghosts are dead. So a ghost is dead while a poltergeist continues to live
I feel like ghost is the correct answer. Poltergeist are manifested and thus never have been, but a ghost was a once living being, and so have lived longer.
I thought it meant the answer is neither. As humans have lived but ghosts have not lived. A ghost/poltergeist is a different state (non-being) and can’t be considered as ever living in that state.
This is so much fun but then again just imagine you're so tired, just want to go to sleep and the door asked "What question can never be answered with a Yes?"
I saw someone’s theory about solving Ravenclaw riddles but forgot where I saw it. The theory was that you don’t necessarily have to have a correct answer to get it right and open the door but could also be solved by the creativity behind it. The riddle “What gets wetter the more it dries?” could be a towel or a napkin which is something everyone normally uses to dry things up. However, a shirt or anything else that absorbs liquid could be an answer as well. When I first heard this riddle (I may sound nuts), my original answer was “whoever died first” because a ghost and a poltergeist are both a “spirit” of some sort which would be the essence of something or someone who once existed but now they just exist in a different form. Whoever’s theory that the creativity behind the answer instead of it being JUST the correct answer gave me hope that I might have been sorted into the correct house because if I had to get the answer right, I’d be sleeping in the hallway all year.
A raven is like a writing desk as both write, and are both instrumemts in writing. A ghost and poltergeist are the same thing. And both have no lifespan or age. They are also ideas of a soul. It has always existed.
I imagine the Ravenclaw version of the popular kids is the group of riddle-solvers. Like the Riddle clique, they leave dinner last, stroll up to a line of the unfortunate witless kids stuck queueing in front of the Ravenclaw door, and every day solve the riddle to great cheers. There’s an ongoing rivalry between two of the members as to who can solve the riddles the quickest.
My opinion: The poltergeist never lived, so you are not able to compare the degree of what it doesn’t have. I think the way she answered is to imply that there is no answer by saying the reason.
