that is actually very sad, the fact that the challenge of this fight is so low that you actually have to make an effort in order to loose. the only true challenge that pokemon has had recently is ultra necrozma. I really like some of the things that they are doing in the newer generations but i miss the difficulty of old pokemon.

Dan Wild Yeah. Like a cutscene or ZAcian and Zamazenta duel attacking and then Eternatus dodgers and kills them with some move, then hop and leon run,c’nowing what happens next. The end of the world happens, and the game resets to the start of the battle tower it’s every Pokemon healed.

They should have done that. You're literally fighting an eldritch radioactive dragon with enough power to destroy the region singlehandedly in a battle for the fate of Galar (possibly the whole world)...and losing isn't treated as a major deal. @@mattstat716 right, it uses the same "go back to the pokemon center" thing as when you lose to any other trainer/pokemon. But other games also use the same Game Over screen when you die to bosses. Should I be mad that I don't see Ganon leave the castle in botw after you lose to him? Also don't forget that this is very very very much a kid's game and after seeing "oh you're ok, you went back to the pokemon center" multiple times, if a kid were to lose to Erturnatus and see "oh yeah youre dead" that would be... I don't know how explain besides, scary or, freak them out

yea and if the game didnt send you to the pokemon centre and was just like “lets heal up and try again” you could softlock yourself if you had a team like that electrike POSSIBLY. depends on if the battle can be done by just hop and the legendaries which it probably can. but in terms of him doing it for content its fair enough. i saw the vid, i was interested, i clicked, and i learnt exactly what the title said. tldr; yea standard

Honestly, I wasn't expecting anything special to happen when you lose to eternatus cause when you lose important battles it's like a game over, but you just heal your pokemon and everything starts over at that point like nothing happened yet. but, in Sun and Moon, you can go with losing to your rival and losing to Lillie's mother the fist time you battle her and not black out and have to start over.

It's times like these that I genuinely wish game freak would've just implemented a game over screen and allow you to restart the battle. Dark, but that's how every game over is, with the world often being destroyed or something
