I'd want to see someone picking that option to not have a selfie with firefly, and when they get the photo from the ground its just firefly herself without trailblazer. That would DEFINETELY give a personal attack to the player lol
There's a pretty solid theory going around that the whole of Penacony so far is some kinda time loop thing (primarily due to Acherons odd questions at the beginning), this could possibly imply on the first loop the picture was canonically taken and she somehow held onto it/came across it after a "reset"
Which isn't that good of a point because terminus (who aventurine said acheron could be an emanator of) looks backwards in time to observe things so his emanators may very well do the same. Very likely either an oversight or a railroad to keep you on the story's path.
@@SnailSnail-lo4pm Aventurine says he doesn't know whose emanator she is and she may as well be an emanator of Terminus for that matter, not that she actually Terminus' Emanator. Knowing Mihoyo it definitely isn't an oversight, especially considering how they are playing this story. Hell, the Trailblazer even saw a lot of things way ahead of time just by entering Penacony's near space. It is not weird at all to think of that possibility.
It probably shows how we don’t have choices in Penecony. We can’t reject Acheron, we can’t reject firefly, the story is obviously flowing in a way where we can’t make our own decisions
@@marczhu7473Are you saying not having choices is because of the script? I don’t think that’s how it works as far as we know. I doubt that part has anything to do with Elio. Elio can’t actually control people or define outcomes 100% of the time. He sees the infinite possibilities of the path of destiny so to speak and can give his Stellaron Hunters a “script” that if followed will increase the chances of certain outcomes. That’s how he can manipulate things towards the most desirable outcome for him. Being robbed of decision probably has to do with Acheron’s powers as an emanator or the dreamscape itself.
@@marczhu7473 I know about that. I think that is a easter egg/joke though just referencing his script. He does not decide everything, because if he did that "bad ending" where Astral Express disappears and you never board it wouldn't exist. Same with the Penacony bad ending. Those are both timelines where Elio essentially failed his goal of using his script to get Trailblazer allies and have them save the universe from Nanook. Also, in Kafka's story logs he writes a script for trying to recruit Kafka, but when you read the script it has separate alternative actions Kafka might take in response to his script which proves he can't actually control the choices of other people like what we saw in Penacony with not being able to refuse Acheron. He was also never described to have that ability by anyone either.
@@DiamonDust I think it's a way to describe the guy/gal that make the story (the ending is already set) like in Harry potter the final volume has been written ahead of time. All you can change is the story in between.
I still think it's funny that even if you reject her, the game still automatically headcanons you and her as close. 😂 I went back to her hideout, and it still had all those emotional talk, and I was like bruh I felt nothing. 🤣
@@maelthesunspot No, they're talking about how you can immediately end kafka's companion quest by keep refusing her request to help her. Like you can end her quest within 1 minute.

Tb completely honest, i kinda hype and wanna explore penacony on MY pace.. suddenly she came and wanna be my guide.. but theres no refuse button.. so i chose all cold dialogue on her until "fine, maybe i should not be too harsh on you" or something dialogue and snap pic with her.. and i think what i chose is the best one!
I believe before this scene, there’s another scene when we first went to clockie statue where I chose I’m a camera lens shy and there’s no photo taken as well.
Ill just be under the assumption that the picture appears anyway because she really did treasure being with the trailblazer and a picture is the best way to physically manifest a memory in a dream
i didn't take the pic cause i didn't think she'd just leave immediately after. i just really wanted to pull that stupid bird in the cut scene. thought it was one of those things where u can talk to her again to do it but she just dips.
I took the photo with her of course. But I suppose in real life I'm someone who doesn't like taking photos so I might refuse if I didn't feel like taking one.
Thank you for sharing this, I actually didn't agreed on making a photo with Firefly, but I haven't noticed this moment. Also it's gratifying to know Mihoyo fixed this thing. To be honest, that's exactly why I hate Mihoyo so much, it's something that started from Genshin - why give a player a choice when in the end doesn't even matter? I hate their approach in dialogues that breaks one sentence into two halves and making those halves into two choices. It's just a poor tease, like "here, player, choose your behaviour... out of one option, but we like to present it like you have a choice." I played RPG's for many years and this pisses me off.

Bro, I didn't take the picture with her 3 days ago only for the lols and when she dies the photo wasn't there, there was nothing. It seems they updated the quest for the edgys thath they didn't take the picture jajaja

Imagine if we actually knew Firefly before, and that picture was actually when Trailblazer hadn't yet joined astral express, meaning this isn't the first time we went on a date with Firefly and because Trailblazer lost their memories, Firefly somewhat want to redo their experience that Trailblazer had forgotten. And that's why the picture is still there regardless what our choices are.
I think it’s more canon Kafka and TB is closer then TB and firefly, blade said he seen us with Kafka a lot so that theory is already out. Elio specifically say TB is the one who will change kafka unlike firefly whose promise is only to LIVE that’s all

I have an alternate account and i can't do it. I refused at first, but then the second choice came up and I decided to take a photo with her after all.
Am I the only one who didn't like firefly? She uses you to get herself out of dodge, lies to you (or at the very least withholds information from you), and drags you on a tour I didn't want. "No, I don't want to take a picture with you, we met 20 minutes ago."
I agree I felt like firefly was a character hoyo verse wanted us to get attached to just so they could break our hearts. I just felt like the whole part with her just didn’t stick with me
Finished up the whole story arc today and I agree with ya. I don't like Firefly and I really don't like that she's so forced in the story to be our friend. Would have preferred more angles and options. But that's a general complaint I have with the whole arc.
It felt like the devs were trying way too hard to sell Firefly's story to us and while it worked for many players, it just felt awkward to me, lol. None of the choices mattered because we have to pretend to be attached to her either ways.
To be fair this is a game where choices DOES matter and choices bring different endings or consequences (e.g different endings such as the herta space station one/kafka companion quest/leaving aventurine etc.) So to experiment choices in this game regardless if they're morally right or wrong is perfectly normal. People wants to see what happens if you choose something that is not normally an option you should choose-out of curiosity, and not because of the cruelty of their hearts. And expect more of these that will happen.
i dont trust anybody in this game (only the crew and i had my doubts with dan heng) and this girl who we dont know who she is and we met her like 10 minutes ago decides to give us a tour because "yes" why would i take a picture with a tour guide + extranger? is fucking weird you've got decieved by her cute face pretty sure you think adventurine or kafka are trustfull too kek
