Gotta love how the worst thing that happens is your villagers miss you and your island is covered in weeds. Even cockroaches are beneficial if you don't want villagers to show up while you decorate.

I remember this one villager from my old island, he was a grumpy old mouse but I still loved him. I don't clearly remember his name but I visited him again and it was the sweetest experience. It's so adorable how they miss you

It's been that way from the start. Animalese is just the full letters spoken out loud, just really quickly. Sometimes, that results in something close to the word they're saying. Probably means that in Japan, they speak fully understandable Japanese.
