It's been proven that holding a live grenade for long periods of time after the pin has been removed is actually very easy and doesn't require much effort. Mythbusters made an episode about that and it was a bust.

Actually, any conductive material will heat up in the microwave. Water is just the most conductive material expected to be found in food. Metal will heat up extremely well in the microwave, you can even use it like a forge to melt metals. However, you need to use old or modified microwave, as most new ones has safety detectors that will limit power if it detects metal. Also, do not attempt to modify microwave unles you are professional, and don't value your life too high. It has a certain transformer inside that outputs the voltage that is literally ideal to immediately kill the one who touches it.

Actually it is not the conductivity but the electric dipole moment of the molecules which is important for the heating in a microwave oven.

That's right, same is with most high explosives, they either will catch fire or nothing will happen even if you straight away light them up. They need primary explosion and the heat trapped in the shock wave to go off.

A microwave does not produce heat like a fire in a warehouse full of crates with active ammo. For them explosive to go off,a cigar into a plastic disposal is enough to set the timer.Wooden crates are the worst for storing live ammo in scenarios as such. 🔥🔥🔥💀

More counting down a finicky death ball with no definitive detonation time within 1 second or less. Haha oh that they do.. Did you know the USA made an actual impact grenade? It's worth noting that C4 is incredibly shock sensitive when it is burning. One guy stepped on a piece of burning C4 about the size of a marble and blew off his foot. Also, the fumes from burning C4 are very toxic. While you could cook with it, I would want to keep from breathing the fumes, or letting them contact my food. If I encountered burning C4, I would just let it burn its self out, if possible.

Actually, you pull the pin but keep the spoon pressed down. The tube will hold the spoon in place until it's launched. But given the weight of a hand grenade, it may not go as far as you'd hoped, and shrapnel tends to sting a bit.
