What makes this chase scene scary is not just the jump scares and her fast movement - but her count down. Because a lot of us grew up with moms who said, “ok, I’m going to give you to the count of 3 to stop (insert phrase)…1…2…” And when she finished, we all knew what happened next would be unpleasant. She is the embodiment of a scary mother disciplining her child, but in a twisted and deadly way.

It just shows that they’re more corrupted and disturbed than the toys that they’re created from. Huggy was already a freaky looking toy to begin with, but it’s made even more disturbing with how his body is so dangly and tentacle like along with how he has those sharp teeth accompanied by those soulless black eyes.

@@morphayangze2737spoilers Well, she is in a more angry state, also, if you saw her death scene She makes noises that are rather... glitched and very dirty, in a way, like raspy. Now as to where her voice box is, it most likely is in her head, so thats out of the question, but maybe it is the stretching plastic from her vocal chorded voice box.

@@bigboiinanut9967 That's a rather odd sound to make when you're chasing someone while in such a state of anger. I would've thought excessive huffing and clear annoyance to make more sense, but I guess something went wrong. It is likely or unlikely. I can only speculate the reasoning. Also, if her voicebox was in her head, wouldn't she be screaming normally then? It sounded like as soon as her abdomen was crushed, her voice distorts and changes. All while her chest and head are intact, albeit separated from the abdomen.

I was hoping for her to actually chase us and try to find us while we're trying to escape her! that would've intensify the chase even more! this game is soo cool ^^ Edit: I'll admit it. I wasn't really taking the devs into consideration when I said this but now that all of you educated me I understand why my 'hope' haven't happened! I still appreciate the hard work they've put in this game! Edit(2): also this wasn't a die hard wish that would've broken my heart if it didn't happen it was just a thought lol.

I'm not professional when it comes to programming, but if Mommy does chases us in the gameplay, I'm sure the developer is going to spend about half a year finishing the AI of hers and fixing bugs because Mommy's movement isn't just regular running and would need adjustments every now and then. Story-wise, there was quite some notes and other things in that area, how do we avoid getting chased by Mommy while collecting all of those? The area is mostly one-way through, it would be too difficult(if memory serves, I don't quite remember, sorry)

Well I mean take one look at the developers choices for the game and there will almost certainly be a 3rd and more chapters. For one, the devs went all out on merch and have even started talking about a film before chapter 2's release. It quite obviously feels like they are trying to copy FNAF's formula so I suspect a ubiquitous amount of content to come. Also they are trying to pack in a lot of lore to go alongside the story of the game so it is unlikely they will just abandon a project like this.

Drama aside, poppy playtime is truly an amazing game that is actually scary, it’s like how FNaF was in its day, the horror aspect is just amazing, from mommy’s behavior and her movements and her growling and groaning while she is after you, it’s just amazing, this doesn’t excuse what mob games has done but you can’t deny that they made an amazing game, mob games is like the grandpa that is amazing at cooking but is Fiercely racist and homophobic, you can’t deny that they make something amazing but that doesn’t excuse them for their actions

When her eyes change I think that scares me the most. I also wish she actually chased you instead disappearing, but it’s minor and I can’t complain since this game is wonderful.
