The good news is that after this story went viral, a doctor reached out and helped her remove the glue. He did it for free and I believe he used an acetone solution. She was so happy.
@@scott2862 it was an acetone and olive oil based solution. I have some that I mixed together myself. I make a lot of craft projects that I sell. I use all different types of adhesive. Gorilla glue will break down with the right amount of acetone. What I’ve found works best is the polish remover that you use for gel polish and nails. It is I believe the concentration is 70% acetone at minimum. Anymore higher than that and you risk skin damage worse than the glue would give you.
Yup... play stupid games, ya get stupid prizes. There is a happy ending to the story though... a good Samaritan doctor helped her get the glue out of her hair, and she's reportedly back to normal now. Hopefully she'll read the label next time....
@@lilballerina and that just makes it so much worse for her..... I mean. It's like doing the tide pod challenge and being surprised when you end up in the hospital..... seriously, read the label. It's a harsh and completely avoidable lesson.
Gorilla glue has a veeeery similar looking label to moco de gorilla which is a brand of hair gel that we use, she thought they had just made a new type of product

THANK YOI. Like the creators of gorilla glue did not spray your hair you sprayed your hair. Yes it was a mistake but it was by no means they’re fault. Also like how dumb do you have to be to think putting gorilla glue which got a guys hands stuck together and had to go into like surgery or something in your hair is a good idea

The reason why reaction channels normally do stop the video to talk about it is so they don't get copy righted and their sound taken away. RU-vid can't take away just part of the audio, so all of the audio is removed until that scene is cut out. In order to keep that from happening they have to make a whole new video out of the video they're reacting to! Whenever I see a video I wanna watch that a reaction channel posted, but I'm not in the mood for the comments, I just look up the video myself.
Okay, I literally see comments everywhere saying "she died! Don't y'all remember she died?" Or smth like that, but guys, SHE DIDN'T! She regularly posts on her socials, and is living healthy after getting the glue removed with acetone. Still can't believe she sued them tho, she chose to use gorilla glue as hair spray, not the company who made it. Just wanted to say, that she's not dead and is living healthy and strong ❤ take care y'all❤ Edit: It wasnt acetone, but a mixture of multiple herbs and meds and stuff

Acetone did not work it only burned her scalp and the glue would re-stick A dermatologist created a special formula to degrade the glue but was safe for her hair and scalp.
The way I remember it they tried with a lot of different solvents, combinations of solvents, but nothing was working. They had to do surgery and that helped.
@@SomeoneBeginingWithI In terms of surgery it was not a doctor taking a scalpel to her scalp and slicing her open. Just go to TMZ there is a video of the doctor using his formula to break down the glue and cutting off excess hair. No need for misinformation.
@@starcherry6814 In the TMZ video, she is in an operating theatre. She isn't intubated, so she's not under general anaesthetic, but she appears to be sedated and her eyes are taped shut. There are multiple news articles which say she had surgery, and I'm inclined to agree with the journalists on that.

I wonder how the hair folicles are doing with them being sealed like that . . I hope that didn't ruin her hair for good or cause permanent damage to the point some hair won't grow back. Gorilla glue is no joke.
Her hair is fine now, they used a solvent chemical to remove the glue not long after chunks of hair started falling off her head but it's okay now everything worked out for her except she was found to have cancer and her child died.
This was one of those videos that answers the question of why certain common sense warnings are on some products. Nothing about gorilla glue makes it sound like a good replacement for hairspray to an adult. ESPECIALLY an adult with children of her own.
The only reason I could think of was that maybe she mixed up the haircare brand Gorila (they make Gorilla Snot hair gel, for example) and the "glued" part from the hair product göt2b glued. Still, the packaging isn't even similar so idk

She also said in the interview that she had used the gorilla glue for Christmas decorations earlier so she knew that it was not meant for hair.
I remember when this 1st happened. She was so scared. I felt so bad. She tried acetone and it didn't work. She had to have a surgery and they had to use a special surgery glue removal. She all better now 🥰
That is so heartbreaking because you know that whatever the doctor used to get the glue off of her hair almost certainly irreparably damaged it, and it is going to be a long time before it grows out, and she can wear her hair how she wants. I don’t know a single woman who hasn’t made a dumb mistake with her hair. So I’m not going to judge her even though I wouldn’t use that product on mine as an adult, but it’s possible that I might have as a young preteen.

The media made her seem extremely stupid. But after watching her video I can see how easy it could be to do. Like she already was using glue spray so she just assumed all glue spray was the same. And most glue spray probably advertises 'extreme hold' etc etc. The ones that do it for attention are really stupid though. Learn from other peoples mistakes.
It's not as sad as you think. She actually admitted in a radio interview that she willingly used the gorilla glue, knowing it was gorilla glue. She just thought she could rinse it out later before it fully set.
Yeah I still don't feel bad for her. She shouldn't have sued at all why should a company have to pay her out for her own mistake. If you want to use a glue when you run out. Use an Elmer's glue stick it will work the same and wash out. If you would not use super glue in your hair then don't use gorilla glue in it last I checked it didn't say hair product. I'd like to hear your thoughts, on what the plastic surgeon who helped her did. I heard that he used a mixture of different chemicals. It would be quite the coincidence if one of those chemicals was acetone.
