im totally late to this but fulvic (or fulvic acid) is a component of dissolved organic matter (DOM)- dissolved organic matter is mostly composted of fulvic and humic acid, which is from decaying organic matter in water (plants, animals, etc). Any time you see a body of freshwater that looks muddy/murky is a characteristic of high DOM. So it makes sense that it tastes like "sediment/soil"!
