Dean Vine I think you can't stop teenagers from drinking, so the only thing you can do is to teach them to respect the dangers and consequences of alcohol and to show them how to consume alcohol in a (If you can even call consuming alcohol) "responsible" way

it's not something they have to do but it's something they may want to do, age restrictions already proved to be of little help to restrict this so all you can really do in the end is to teach how to drink responsibly in a way so you don't endanger yourself or the others. Alchol isn't really like smoking where even the smallest amounts can do irreparable damage, it's actually a bit more like a power tool, a knife or an explosive device, it can be useful and used for good but you need to know how to use it and having a mental check list is most recommended if you so wish to use it. Overall I still think that getting drunk should fall under alchol abuse and not actual proper consumption but I will defend any less serious way of consumption as it's a good way for many people to open up and socialize and, at times, a little alchol will even help you focus but only once your body becomes able to digest it.

I'd say it's better the try and educate rather than just let teens drink themselves to death which a good few will anyway but whatever

It’s like that here too in some states. In a lot of states in the USA you can drink with your parents consent (mostly in private areas but there’s some states that let you drink in places like a bar or restaurant with parent consent), there’s also some states that allow drinking no matter what age if it’s on private property without parent consent
