Well, you do pull the Master sword out of the light dragon at the beginning of the final phase, if you haven‘t done it before.

@@mitchjames9350 He literally just told you, during the final phase of Ganon when Zelda shows up you just pull it out of her and get the regular cutscene. It is impossible to destroy Ganondorf without the Master Sword because of the Lore.

They wanted a challenge after BotW became too easy to speedrun for them, so Nintendo gladly served the speedrunners the boss rush without a separate mode :)

Never underestimate the tenacity and no-lifeness of devoted fans and speedrunners. Someone will find a way to make this challenge a cakewalk.

i think the bosses arent the issue, since you just have to focus on one enemy. getting to ganon and defeating his army with only 3 hearts will be the hardest part I think (especially the phantom ganon battle, and his final phase when he creates 5 copies of himself)

@@aceaight I think thats the second to last phase, the final phase is when he sucks all the other gandalfs back into him and starts destroying your hearts and dodging flurry rushes

This definitely feels like a massive stone hammer of punishment for speedrunners specifically and as a message that basically says "you aren't getting through to the final boss easily this time"

I tried beating them with only 3 sage (water, Wind and fire). I can assure you they were hard but interesting for most part. Seized construct is a bit hard as his attack have a huge hitbox meaning beet way to avoid damage is parrying or attacking. Sadly, Seized construct can still suffer from element effect. It doesn't do much damage but the ability to stun him is Op. Phantom Ganon was quite fun as you Can already learn how to beat one with a spear on the way to the battle. But when he start making copies of himself, forcing you to watch out for all of them it get even better as there are not too many ennemies, but still enough to make sure you can't just rush on one. However, the "bug Queen" is fun until you reach the second phase where minions spawn, and idk if they are the same in the dungeon battle, but the ability to wither your health is annoying and they can't be killed easely when there are a lot of them. I was lucky to have some "wizard" weapon with me as they do quite a lot of damage to them with the elemental damage.

@@SpicyInk Honestly, Muktorok is stupidly easy in the water temple, also I rarely use the sage's ability in battles. What I did in order to beat muktorok is first having lot of water fruit for my arrow, and an opal fused to a weapon, in m'y case a sword. But one thing that make Muktorok so easy is Gravity. You just jump in low gravity and tout Can have that slow-mo attack to spam arrows.

@@milectarx6561 fuse a big wheel to a stabilizer then put hydrants at the top of it. Super easy way to deal with it “even easier if you have insert purah pad ability here”

Imagine going straight to Ganondorf with 4 hearts in Master Mode and fighting the army and all the bosses and THEN Ganondorf…😬😬😬😬 ain’t no way.

It genuinely feels like this is the final battle. THIS fight is what everyone's been preparing for, here and now. Except a certain *someone* completely neglected to prepare and just showed up hoping for the best.

You can still solo them without sages,just get better inventory and weapons. Not to mention you can fuse shield with the bomb to abuse flurry rush in the mid air

I thought for a second I was gonna have to do that with the 5 sages! I was like, “Please I beg! I only have 2 hearts! I need a light root!” I was happy I didn’t have to fight them again but disappointed I didn’t get a light root. Needless to say I didn’t make it past the first phase 😂

I accidentally got to the final boss exploring and had 0 sage. I just brute forced everything with a lynel bow + a ton of bomb flower lmao

not to mention having to kill gohma as well, without yunobo lmao

@@chrisrose4703 gohma is fine just use ascend under him and u can get some easy hits in. His tanky hp bar should be fine with all the royal weapons u can get and high level monster parts from demon kings army.

​@@chrisrose4703I went down there when i only had the gerudo and rito sages, and i made it past the demon army and gohma first try, but then got killed by the zora boss and decided i wasnt ready for it. (I defeated gohma with recall, you can easily throw his rocks back at him and his patterns are very predictable)

I found the fight because my dumb ass was looking for sweet loot under the castle.

I got here so early, I didn’t realize I could reverse the falling rocks until much later in the game. Otherwise would’ve been here fighting Ganon a longtime ago.

It's not a prerequisite, you can just jump into the chasm immediately.

Try to fight it without using arrow. You can dive from height with R button to break its vital point. That's more satisfy in the fight.

I saw gohma in the depths after defeating it . I suppose you can find all the bosses there

I was just wondering around the dark of the depths a bit after beating colgera and saw a dragon flying by so I did what any horder play the game does and immediately dropped what i was doing to chase down the dragon so i start gliding after the dragon and as i got closer to it i get within rendering distance of colgera seeing its darkened outline in the unlit abyss and at first i didnt recognize it so i was sitting there saying thinking the fuck is that followed by realizing bosses can spawn in the depths

This is a game I'll probably never try to go straight to the boss in, not because of the boss run, but because there will always be that voice in the back of my mind reminding me that if I don't complete the story and get all the memories Zelda doesn't get turned back.

well speedruns just clip through and skip all the bosses

@@shellderp I think that depends on the patch version. A recent patch closed all the well known duping and clipping glitches, so I think speedrunners still using the old patch clip through the bosses after fighting Ganon's Army, but speedruns on the current patch need you to go through all or, at least some of them (I think there is still a way to clip to Ganon from the Marbeled Gohma fight if I remember correctly).

This is the second time when, having beaten the game and breaking my media blackout, I had a "you can DO that?!" moment. The first one was seeing someone completely trivialize the Flux Constructs by using the Ultrahand to pull the core block out and instantly stun it.

Yet, at the same time, not using reverse to send the rocks back at him.

You shoulda seen me wasting Yunobo's roll on its Bomb Ring in both the Story fight AND Depths refight before hearing in a Boss or Dungeon Ranking video you could Recall one of the Bombs :^) Felt like an absolute doofus

I agree. Going in to the Hyrule Castle Depths was like going into the Upside Down and the 7 Rings of Hell. My confidence level to face Ganondorf later has dropped.

Unless you're not using any normal weapons then Ganon becomes a Dark Souls Boss.

Which is kinda lame. I wished the devs used the heart and stamina containers as as the treshold to "level up" Ganon. The more you train and waste time, Ganon also regains his power accordingly. The fact the three headed dragons are way more dangerous than their master, that's yet another instance of this game suffering from the infamous "narrative dissonance"

But... His power is also these enemies. So it's all the same.

I did the same after one phenomenon completed. It was hard to get down that deep and boy it was creepy

Rito was my third area to go. Had to see Sidon first. And I was struggling the most with Colgera honestly. Out of all the bosses this was the hardest one for me personally. I was never good with the bow before this fight but since that I forget about other weapons easily because bows became my go to choice 😅

Personally don’t care if it’s easy; it’s the most fun to me. Diving through its ice holes gives me a rush I can’t explain.

Queen Gibdo is literally just throwing fruits at her then beating her up, Mucktorok is just abusing bullet time and arrow spamming it. The only one that has any sort of challenge is Gohma and that’s just because it’s annoying

You still get it at the end. Demon Dragon only takes damage from the master sword

In the Gibdo Queen fight, dazzle fruits are also a great way to hit multiple elementals at once. Just one can affect an entire group if they're close enough together.

@@kage_231 The gloom hands are terrifying, especially in the early game when they do immense amounts of damage compared to your health bar and you barely have the stamina to out-climb them even if you can get to a spot that you can climb

I was wondering why the lightning arrow or bomb arrow didn't work. It seemed weird that those things couldn't be destroyed when I was pretty sure I destroyed them in my playthrough in the temple.

It also stuns the boss, so you won’t have to worry about getting body slammed while trying to ascend up its ass

@Diego Bustos No, you can also get it by beating the Spirit Temple and then purchase it at one of the Construct Vendors next to the 5th sage.

@Diego Bustos nothing is amiibo locked in this game besides some cosmetics for the glider. All amiibo unlocks in the previous game are obtainable in the under ground world “The Depths”

i didnt notice much difference you could skip most of the enemies in hyrule castle pretty easily and head straight for the sactum. in Totk u also have a path of enemies which u can run past.

What? Totk's route of the Ganon fight is even more treacherous than botw. Even before these fights, you have to go against many many enemies, harder than botw guardians actually.

Did you play botw? This game's path to early Ganondorf is infinitely harder than early calamity ganon

As in if he's any different if you rush in or complete the main quests? kinda? The more you collect of the memories the stronger Ganon gets as in his hp will be much bigger, mainly in phase 2/Horned phase, so its actually "kinda" the opposite than in BOTW, and you won't receive the sages' help either. So the hardest Ganondorf can possibly be is, collect all the memories and do none of the main quests

@@Joel-cj2cz Surprisingly not, though you're given it as a reward if you complete the Dragon's Tears quest. Otherwise you can grab it pretty much any time by catching the light dragon with at least 5 stamina upgrades.

@@ZorotheGallade I think you got the wrong quest in mind, it definitely said “main quest” when I went was told to retrieve it after finding my way into korok forest. Does that not make it part of the main quest?
