@@shawnofdadead1805 to be fair with you, a bit of backstory about my first comment. I was referring to dying light 2 cause I had a few frustrating bugs. Finished it 6 months after launch with a friend. I did get some bugs, but it's more fun with a friend or two than alone. To this day, I hated the game, and you bet I'm wenging on it.
When I was a new subscriber, I always thought your intro said-- " hello everyone it's F---it here" lol. It made sense cause your videos are just straight up and to the point! No disrespect man love the channel.
I don’t know if you were a subscriber at the time, but for a while RU-vid was demonetizing his videos because of that intro 😄 He even tried going without it for a little while and decided “F**** it, people liked it better with it so I’m doing it.” Hopefully they’re still not demonetizing him.
ooooh. Really enjoy Green Hell, its not prefect but it gets soooo much right for me. Happy you re-visiting it :D I liked using the tree frames as navigation waypoints & micro bases. i was gonna try to see how many you could connect together so you don't have to walk on the floor when going from a to b but i got lazy & didnt try in the end.
@Farket Green Hell has definitely improved over the years, except the enemies, not really any challenge. I do recommend Grounded for the building/crafting aspect, if you can forgive the focus marketing it towards kids, the building, crafting and overall survival aspect of the game is on point with any survival game I've encountered, The Forest and Sons included. It's also challenging! If only there were a voiceover mod!
I recently got into grounded and im absolutely impressed on the amount of depth it has. The super bosses are some of the most challenging bosses iv ever faced in a survival game. I hope he gives it a try soon. He'll definitely be eating good!

whats really sad is that they practically abandoned the vr version. I know the devs arent exactly developing it but they havent updated the game in 2 years and are mostly focusing on the multiplayer update which they took 3 years to make and its for the quest version, which is the furthest away from the flat game.
Green hell had been my most favorite game ever. I'm a bit sad to admit that the game had lost a lot of its aim for survival realism as it gets updated.
I would say not. Just started and slipped down a bank into water. Got a fever tried to fix it so went to bed for a rest then died. Survival wise still brutal.
@@cutterbacon i'm more talking about the new addition. It compounds to the game losing out on realism. Stuff like tree houses, palisade gate, farming, taming, etc. that was all feature added out of player's request, yet it betrays the core idea of the game the most
Hey Farkret! I'm so glad you did the material of this game I asked for many times. I would be so happy if you'd give one go again. They also add challenges. I hope you will play this game somehow ones again. As I know the studio is from Poland, and they will still develop this game and adding new things even when that futuristic game will be released.

We need more survival games like The forest and Green hell. Where are they? Easiley the best survival games out there. Subnautica is one hell of a survival game too.

Conan Exiles is so dumb, the building grind is impossible as the resources costs a billion and the building mechanic structures make no sense. There is the PVE fighting, which makes zero sense as well. It requires you to need thralls, which are enemies you need to capture to fight for you, by about mid game these NPC bot thralls are simply superhuman robot fighters. You can't even hold a candle to any of them even with the best armors and weapons, they hit you once and you're dead. Last time I played was years ago, and I'm not going back. It gets to the point where you're trying to capture thralls to fight other enemies and you're no longer a factor.
I bought green hell because of your original videos. There's a survival game called Icarus that I'd love to see you do a breakdown or series on! Love your vids 🤙
Man i wish i could play the dam game. Was fine for year or 2 now with any settings i try i get this strange render bubble. Pretty much 20-25m away in all direction can see a faint line and everything renders in like a pop up book. Would love to play again with the wife but with that pop in, I would have more fun painting the garage again. Great video hope all is well.

I really wanted to love the building system in this game, but there just aren't enough flat spaces to build. Good to see they still worked on it since I played a couple years ago
I love this game, best survival game ever in my opinion. Something I wish it had though was an option to turn down the rate of tiredness and stuff like that rather than only having on option of on or off.
Any thoughts on playing Minecraft? It has continued to update with new building materials and creatures. Just a thought as I like watching you play most games

In this Version you can Swim with Logs. So get in the Water and get them back. Also what to put on the Sled ...i don't know Rope? Big Rocks? mayby Logs like in the Forest d: The Compost attracts Insects too for meat Eaters, Now you can Farm Amarillos, who gives you the Second best Armor in the Game. The Ethernal Flame is for People who Serch a Challange and Rewarded the one who finish all Raids.
Once they add building to a survivor oriented game (which they always should) they really need to make it work as good as possible. Bits of mechanics from many games can make for a great system; BBP \ RaG (DayZ mods), and touches of Stranded Deep (with mods), among others. I always wish for a building preview \ blue print (kinda of like BBP for DayZ), but the ability to be creative with simple shapes is always missing. Where's the half vertical walls, the roofs that can fit on any floor type and why tf do I have to build on perfect ground that doesn't exist? The building really needs to be its own character. If it's done properly it could make the game a legend. Here's hoping for the day, hmm.
I have a lot of hour in green hell and both of the forest games and still green hell is just so good I wouldn't say better or worse tho also build at the boa island across the bamboo bridge very good for both early and late game same thing with your area it has a lot of both bamboo and normal logs it has good access to water and there is every type of animal and loads of space to build that is nice and flat also u can build of the water with the new water platform and it's nicely placed in between all the map area's but maybe have a starter base to first get all the collectables and blueprints in the structures in the main area then go to the boa island
Do another green hell series on green hell. I got to 50 days then died to a giant tribes men. Building by the dock on the river is really nice with a lot of space.
Coming from the forest is this game reccomended? I see i can also play in VR on my ps5. I don't have Interest in sons of forest. But the forest is one of my favourite games
😂 i had to turn the nutrients setting to low i just kept killing a croc and cooking the meat and cooking water in coconuts to try survive then got biten by a dart frog 😭 never managed to finish just watch someone else on youtube
Has anybody have the empty village bug? It's a huge waste of time, I build for days and get armour and then all villages are empty, I don't wanna start again. It's the third time this has happened to me while playing green hell. This has been happening since last year at least and they don't fix it.
I like Ark survival evolved. it’s a different survival game focused on the aspect of taming dinosaurs and riding them around. Plus they just remastered the game now it’s ark survival ascended. Maybe check it out if you never heard of it

Although, I would say that you indeed can have some kind of an impact on a games developers I need to disappoint you on this one as all the improvements you mention have been added LONG after you posted your playthroughs. The reason those have been aded is that Creep Jar games is one of these studios that continue to post free content updates over and over again. Unlike the forest devs who pretty much abandoned the game after release and the only content updates they made was some pointless structures, which prolly were not ready on release. In fact, independent from changes and who caused them, I'd say you abandoned this game way to early as it is essential like The Forest but good in terms of survival. I see how the enemies are too dumb to make up a challenge and how that could ruin the game for you but imo the way these games implement fighting enemies has little to do with surviva anyways, so I dont care for these mechanics in either of the games. With the enemy dumbness put aside, this game plays in a whole other league than The Forest does.
I feel like it's going to be a while before you can truly separate yourself from SoTF. You definitely made the right call leaving such a toxic relationship. I hope you find something that brings you joy in the near future.
Yeah green hell is one if not my favourite survival game, when i first got it a couple weeks after launch I was terrified to play because everything is dangerous, you are never safe. Then I got around to it after a while and I fell in love. Grew bored from the game though after completion and spent a couple more hours in survival (not story) and got into it again when amazonias got released. Shame as you said and have been saying, that they are too focused on realism and the jankiness with base-building, because that's my favourite aspect in games like these. A youtuber called Spaj used to say that for any feature, developers need to ask themselves if it increases fun or decreases it. If it's not fun, leave it out. Realism can be a lot of fun, until it isn't.
Not gonna lie I’d love a big succinct review of Sons of the Forest to put all the gripes into one place. I think it’d both be very entertaining, and rather cathartic for you, and maybe help you move on and not have to think about the game anymore

Love this game... It took me ages to actually get anywhere with it but now I know the little tricks I have a decent survival going.. up to 29 days now with a base and even a shower :D
@@MrJuice-qe7nv as far as I know it isn’t cross platform unfortunately and I think Creepy Jar have said no more updates as they are working on their next game
