Thank you for teaching in a lighthearted way, otherwise a complicated style.

Oh great! When I reading Thibault’s book, the Demi-fleuret looks like some dancing step, I’m also think move like dancing may be useful in Thibault.

Interesting drill. Looks quite difficult though. I would probably add these kind of drills after Rada's footwork and bladework drills (which are already decently difficult drills) and introduced Atajo to the degree that students feel familiar with it.

I agree. While most workshop participants had no prior experience with Destreza, noone was completely new to HEMA. Thus, these free footwork and rhythm exercises worked really well. I think, they might even work for complete beginners if you build these exercises up bit by bit - introducing technical terms along the way :)

I agree as well. The participants were mostly no beginners. But as Martin said, you can adapt the drills slightly to work for beginners more easily. In my training I teach for example the basic footwork and concept of atajo before we go more deep into it. But the concept of fluid movement is a very important part from the very beginning. I made the experience that beginners have advantages in this section, because the experienced fencers stick very closely to their known „sportsfencing like“ footwork.

Do you happen to have a playlist to practice this with?
