Who said Saka isn't world class? Saka actually plays in his best and rightful position for England so he benefits from that, don't start trying to downplay Foden just because Saka is disrespected, that's just a brainless way of thinking

He's been part of Pep's system for his whole senior career. He'll come good eventually but we need to stop playing him because Palmer deserves a place in the starting 11 more than him.

@@OmphileLesumo But Foden has never really been given the chance that Palmer has now. Both Bellingham and Palmer have been used as 10s whereas Foden barely has for England, and the few times he has (opening 20-30 mins of most Euros games), he looked really at home and was unlucky to hit the bar twice and have a goal off the line. The issue is where you play him, not his quality. Guarantee that even a player as good as Palmer would be a shadow of his Chelsea form in LW for England under Southgate

He doesnt fit into the team. Its square pegs in round holes. England should stop trying to shoehorn all the best players in, otherwise it will end up like the Golden Generation. Where they tried to fit Lampard Gerrard Scholes and Beckham into the same team and it was all a car crash.

The problem with England is that they need to have all the best players playing together at the same time which is not feasible. Had the same problem with Lampard, Gerrard and Scholes. Create a team that plays the best football rather than best players. Play players that deliver like Kane, Bellingham, Saka. Not cater to Foden. Let him earn his place.

When he's dropped and Anthony Gordon or whoever takes his place (Foden should be in the 10 anyway), people will be criticising the management for not playing a player like Foden. Use him correctly, not waste him and bin him off

The thing is that Foden has been playing for England longer than both Bellingham and Palmer and has at best been bang average. A world class forward player does not go 15 games without scoring or assisting and being anonymous throughout. He looks world class under the best manager in the world, but under more average management he's nowhere near world class, so overall it makes him highly overrated.

The manager is the problem . Carsley has been the manager for four games now and his has looked impressive for only 45 minutes in the first game against Ireland . The second half england were dreadful . Ireland playing england far too easily same as greece did and finland did tonight . Carsley is lucky that his team was drawn in such a poor group .Greece are the only team of quality that they have faced and they were embarassed by them . Ireland and finland while two teams of poor quality were able to create clear cut chances . It's far to easy for team to get at their back four . I don't see it changing either because it looks like Carsley doesn't know how to change . I think Greece will do the double over England and win the group .

He has been in the England set up for years now how does he still not know how to play in it??? Other players come straight in and do well and if they dont they stop getting called up. Foden is a good player who can only play for one type of team and in one system with elite players around him.

I agree. Last season he scored almost all his goals because 2-3 defenders were following and defending Haaland so it was just natural that there would be a lot of space for the other attackers.

Players from the north much like many fans here couldn't give a monkeys about england. Carra and Neville cared about their clubs way more, Gerrard, Rooney and Trent had to be forced to sing the anthem. Phil loves his club more so we see the best of him there. Good for him. Ben White shows it isn't just the north now😁

The problem is in City, team was built around Foden while in England team, team was built around Harry Kane so nobody in England shirt will do well if the team is built for Kane. My suggestion to Kane is his record has been already good enough to be withhold for the forseeable future so he doesn't need to keep pushing for his individual record at the expense of the team. Harry you should be better retire from national team and let the youngster do their job. Just follow Trippier retired with respected way.

In football there are players who are just club players, country players and both Examples Foden- is just a club player Romero- only plays well for Country Saka- plays well for both club and country I don't believe changing a team to accommodate players, the player should either adapt style or be able to play in multiple positions to be accommodated

Saka is only consistent for England, and even then his goals and assists are inconsistent, whereas for Arsenal he just covers up very average performances with some penalties and a few corners

Stop thinking of football as first team and subs but rather starters and finishers. Personally id start Foden on the right wing and Grealish on the left and play possession, then, later in the game bring on pace in Gordon and Saka to run at tiring legs.

What do you mean because he's away from city. Are you saying he can't be transferred because he wouldn't be under Pep therefore his levels would drop. He’s a limited profile he’s literally post ACL Marco asensio. Can be a useful bench player at most. Not any where near as talented as Jude who won La liga player of the season and ucl young player of the season last year.

He's massively overrated. Pure system player and Man City had everyone fooled into thinking he's great. He's not. He ain't on Musiala, Wirtz, Pedri, Jude or Saka's level, instead he's more like Steven Ireland. City are doomed when KDB leaves (which could be next season as he's in his last year)
