The shit that Netflix was allowed (or maybe told) to pull with drive to survive was despicable. Adding to the drama through editing and music is one thing but just straight up fabricating bullshit is absolutely ridiculous.

You should think about watching the Supercars Championship. The cars look and sound really cool imo and you can tell when the drivers are pushing the limits. Some do crash, while others leave you wondering how they didn’t meet the wall. I started watching it this season and honestly it looks really fun

I honestly feel that if F1 continues this way, the best way to get results is drivers threatening to leave. Imagine Max announcing he's had enough due to all the circus happening in recent years (which is more than normal), F1 will definitely need to react. I will watch every single race because I'm a huge fan since early 2000's, but honestly the people running it have no clue on what drivers and fans want. It's more and more about the money.

I live in the states and thats what we do with everything , we just ruin everything with greed. I completely agree with you about drive to survive its trash , basically I just watch for the entertainment and nothing to do with the racing. I have watched F1 since the 80's and I miss those days sooo much. My favorite years were late 80's into the 90's and the early 2000's.

F1s biggest issue for me is their cars/engine is just not entertaining. Theyre too big, too bulky, and a V6 hybrid motor is not a spectacle to listen to. A racing car of that caliber should be absolutely screaming a naturally aspirated V10 motor so that when the race is boring, the cars are still an absolute spectacle to watch. The early 2000s cars were so nimble and could race eachother so hard, and they were not easy to drive at all. 2002-2005 was F1s peak and its so sad they will never return to it. The racing was pure, the cars drove sounded, and looked beautiful, and you could tell they were a beast. Those machines were absolutely no joke. Indycar is far more entertaining to watch for me and very much reminds me of old F1 these days. I still watch every F1 GP but each race feels like businessmen are running it and theres no passion for motorsport.

The most "unsport" thing is artificially slowing faster teams. Cutting their wind tunnel time is just stupid. It's no longer sport, but entertaining business. Look at Usain Bolt, he dominated from 2008 through 2016 and noone restricted his training session time.

F1 started to slowly die when Liberty took over and then the final nail in the coffin was the entire 2021 season. Each race felt manipulated in some way to create drama to keep people watching and to make more money. I’ve not felt any kind of real excitement for an F1 race since then. I’ve watched since I was very young in the mid 90s.
@jasonschmid6979
@jasonschmid6979 5 месяцев назад
I agree. 2016 was the last season I enjoyed, felt like the last real F1 season. Since Liberty Media took over, it became more of an artificial entertainment product. They have no connection to racing itself, they just see a product that can be milked to generate money. F1 doesn't know what it wants to be. For a constructors competition, it's way too restrictive, teams can't develop any groundbreaking innovations. For a spec series, it's not restrictive enough. F1 tries to be both at the same time, and it fails completely. As long as you let teams build their own cars, there will always be 1 team that builds the best car and will dominate. But from a technology point of view, the current cars are also very boring, because they are 98% the same. The cars being too easy to drive is also correct. If you combine very high downforce with a 3,60m wheelbase, 800kg of weight and Pirelli tyres that can not be driven om the limit, the cars of course don't look as nimble and exciting as they used to do. And then there is still Drs, which usually kills any incentive to overtake anywhere else apart from the Drs zones. Why to try a risky and creative overtake, if you can just wait for the longest straight and fly by with Drs? All in all, I think F1 is currently worse in almost every aspect than it was from 2000 to 2010.

I've been watching F1 since 02 when i was like 5 years old LOL and tbh the biggest issue I see is the FIA's attempt to make F1 mainstream. Although I love having new people come in and enjoy the sport I've loved since my childhood, the way they're doing it through drama and controversy-inducing mediums is wrong IMO. Drive To Survive has brought in a ton of money and business for F1 but IN MY OPINION, has done the sport more harm than good. The new fanbase are not watching F1 for the same reasons we watch it. The appreciation for the insane cornering speed, the car specs, peak motorsport engineering, is missing from the mainstream. We used to geek out about double blown diffusers, or even how its possible for F1 cars to utilize hybrid technology so efficiently etc. Now, its all about Lewis, or Max... drama, who said what about who... this has become the main attraction for F1 (i contribute this to DTS).. The cult fanbases are also contributing to the lost of identity of the sport. Again prioritizing one particular driver instead of the sport and having loud voices on twitter can contribute to the overall sentiment towards the sport. Again DTS was designed for you to favour particular drivers with no appreciation for the sport or cars. Although the drama and controversy has always been with F1, it was a byproduct of fierce competition. It was never sought after because it'll bring in more views or money etc. The main appreciation was still for the cars and the sport itself. I actually think a drop in viewership and less people tuning away will actually revitalize the sport. The long time fans will still stay because we arent just here for the drivers.. We're here for the brilliance of F1 itself. Hell I'm still impressed how every attempt of the FIA to change the regulation to slow the cars down, is still not enough for the brilliance of the engineers to somehow squeeze out more downforce to make the cars faster and faster. We may have our favourite drivers but again, that is secondary to the love of the sport itself and the cars. BTW... F1TV has amazing productions that true F1 fans will appreciate. Their documentary and series are amazing imo.. only downside is you actually have to pay for f1tv pro

I think when Liberty bought F1 they correctly identified that it had enormous growth potential. With Bernie, F1 was not marketed that well online and mostly relied on motorsports enthusiasts for their revenue generation -- the issue here being that most of these people are older and prefer to watch the broadcast at home Liberty recognized that there was a huge untapped market for younger people and they pursued them of course through a vastly expanded marketing push on digital channels (social media and of course DtS) in conjunction with bringing races to big US urban markets and big expat markets in the ME They've drastically improved the image of F1 particularly with women, which always seemed like a no-brainer to me given you've got possibly 20 of the coolest hottest dude on the planet lol -- Button would've hoovered up the attention if he raced in his prime in the Liberty era Anyway, all this is to say that Liberty have been executing their plan with F1 to perfection and nowhere in this plan is there anything to do with providing great racing

So why are the races boring? I feel like whats making the races boring is the fact overtaking is too easy and straight forward (especially for red bulls in particularly max) we need drs to be less powerful therefore qualifying and race starts becomes more of a factor in race result particularly at the front inhibiting max from running away with it every time, even when he hasn't qualified well. I remember to the 2015 season when Mercedes had the fastest car but Sebastian Vettel managed to get a few good qualifying laps and race starts in some races and it made the quality of those races soo much more interesting. I believe in a season you only need a minimum of 3-4 brilliant races to retain real fans, because then there is want for something rare to happen once again. The past 2-3 years max even if he hasn't qualified well has won because overtaking is too easy, so for me the solution is simple and its efficient considering the change. Make drs less effective, so that qualifying and race starts become more significant and are more hyped, this not only can boost a championship fighting chance but makes overtakes harder and more risky and boosts the hype for qualifying and race starts which has been irrelevant for race wins since mid 22 with the red bulls race pace and drs overtakes. There are plenty of other changes we could do for a close championship but for me this one simple change will boost the whole sport. We cant force a peking order, but when there is one which is usually formula 1 to its core, we need it to be more difficult for a faster car to overtake. Simple. Also the engine freeze hurt the excitement of max Verstappen potentially retiring in a few races as the reliability of all cars are now on point with the engine freeze.

F1 & Liberty Media have just fallen off. Gone of the days when Bernie was on the grid being the voice of the sport. There's no spokesperson, does Ross Brawn still work for F1? I literally have no idea. What about Chase? The current Horner situation is a great example of this. RB are bringing the sport into disrepute and F1 hasn't said a word, just sat from afar watching the world's media blow up with the chaos. No other sport would sit silently while something so damaging is going on.

It’s just gotten a little too mainstream? Idk if that’s the right thing to say but… don’t get me wrong I’m happy that it’s boomed over here in the states. I’ve always been alone in motorsport discourse with my friends and family over here but since 2021 I’ve had more people to talk to f1 about since ppl are more interested now. Just my thoughts about it but I do believe early 2000's were the golden era of F1 because of how powerful the cars sounded and how fast they were, as you already mentioned also the skill to actually control these monsters. I do know a few people that purely watched F1 for the crashes and I know its a good thing theres so much safety now and theres real people sitting in those cars but nobody can tell me it wasnt a major factor to gain views. DRS also takes away some of the skill and even tho it provides much closer racing it doesnt feel right seeing someone just easily pass on a straight. In todays day and age I would even argue the "just stop oil" people dont really help the situation. Hamilton news for 2025 also brought a lot of attention back to F1 and I can imagine thats what they were going for.

But after Bahrain it just made it more evident that I have no attachment to the sport of F1 anymore and canceled my subscription. You are right, its so cooperate. F1 has never really recovered from the tobacco money or 2008; they caught lightning in a bottle with DTS. The 2021 season then reset everyone’s memories of how bad those first few years of the turbo hybrid were. They’re trying to make it sustainable to cooperations in a green new world. So many decisions that have to be made before racing can even be considered.

The last real F1 season was probably around 2020, the american management completely ruined it. The focus is on creating a show and nobody cares about history, traditions... the romance that took F1 to its glory is gone. The drivers used to be heroes, fueled by pure passion and love for the sport, now they're basically a bunch of spoiled kids doing that from the age of 3. It's depressing, I loved F1. This started way earlier when tjey decided to give tracks to Saudi-Arabia, Katar or way earlier Dubai. While football is rightfully critisiced for holding their events there nobody seems to care about it in F1. Also more and more streets circuits. I understand they're way less expensive bit there's so much money in F1 to rather support the legendary tracks like Suzuka, Spa, Monza, Istanbul or bring back the german GP or malaysian GP A new tyre war would be good as well and stops for refueling. I like drive to survive for the behind the scenes. Havent watched the last few, the timelines felt off, conflicts felt fake. Its like they dont think people will watch unless they make up some drama which is insulting to viewers and the sport. 4 races in the US is wild. As a US resident, I love seeing them race literally anywhere but here. I like being introduced to cultures and tracks through F1. It would be nice if I could go see one since it's here unluckily its a minimum 12 to 18 hour drive and ticket prices are crazy. Also seeing tons of F2 drivers dominate and then not get a seat is wild. We had 2021 Haas which shouldn't have been allowed to race. Luckily, some rookies were able to race there in a horrible car that hurt their careers more than help it. F1 has F3 F2 setup like a ladder but once you get to the top you have nowhere to go. They denied Andretti entry, backed by Cadillac/GM.

just throwing something at the wall and seeing if it sticks, but what if they lessened the cost cap for the slower teams to let them develop a bit more and catch up? "wont that be penalizing the winners?" i dunno, its a complex issue with a lot of different tradeoffs and the obvious answer isnt clear, at least to me and my room temp iq.

The drop in driver errors in race is mostly due not to the cars being "too easy" to drive, but to drivers not having to push (for strategy reasons). When they are 5s-6s off the qualy pace in race, with a lot of lift and coast and taking it easy on the tires, it's easier not to make mistakes. Also cars are incredibly being reliables. But I strongly disagree on your proposal of having the same engines and chassis in F1. Too much series are getting "spec-ified", like WRC who are killing their "real cars" made from real chassis to become a series in which evert manufacturer shares the same space frame basis and just put some panels. DTM died that way, too. We actually need more "character" in cars. Different engine types, very different looks, sounds,...that's what make people dream of cars.

Removing the cost cap entirely would again lead to having at best 3 teams fighting at the top. One thing the cost cap did succeed on, is to make it more competitive at the top, well, obviously except for Redbull. Teams like McLaren, Mercedes, Ferrari and Aston Martin at times are all pretty close to each other. 6 years ago it would be 1 team clearly at the top, another clearly in 2nd and maybe 2 others fighting for 3rd and 4th. Now we pretty much have at least 3 teams fighting for 2nd. That's only possible because of the cost cap (otherwise Mercedes and Ferrari would probably fairly easily create a gap between them and McLaren and Aston Martin). I do think the cost cap could to be adjusting tho, in a way that the team that wins constructors would have the least amount available the year after (quite similar to how it now works with windtunnel time). Example: team placed 10th gets still 100% cost cap available, team placed 9th 2% less, 8th place 4% less (compared to 10th)...2nd place 18% less and 1st place 20% less (than last place). The difference for teams close to each other isn't as big, so they would probably still be close (hopefully even closer). But the difference between last- and first-placed teams would be significant, which would hopefully help close the gap between the back and the front of the grid, somewhat quicker. But at the end of the day, great teams will still be great (even with less resources) and not so great teams will probably still struggle (but it would be less obvious). So, it wouldn't completely turn the sport upside-down.

Refuelling -> Cars will be lighter, more drivable, drivers will be able to push more in the race and it will be another variable to spice up strategy. ( No, refuelling in the early 2000's did not cause the racing to be boring, the issue with the lack of overtakes happened because grooved tyres were pretty much indestructible, with no tyre wear the only option was to overtake through strategy in pits ) BoP (Balance of performance) -> Although never tried in open wheel racing, it might very well be the ultimate solution F1 will push for.

Honestly: F1 is a business. It has been since the 90s if not earlier than that. The reason I watch F1 (highlights on YT or full races whenever it's on free TV in Germany) is the combination of design/engineering ingenuity and awesome single seater driving talent. And honestly not meant in disrespect to anyone who thinks modern F1 cars are easier to drive than they used to be: It's not easier, it's an entirely different way of driving. These guys have to adjust multiple settings on their cars (diff, brake-bias, hybrid-boosting etc) multiple times per lap. It's not the same way as it was back when you only had three pedals a gear-shifter and steering wheel but it's still insanely difficult to drive these cars on the limit. The general level of preparation has increased. Most modern professional racing drivers didn't finish school unlike they used to some 20/30 years ago. They just go all out on their professional racing career. So how to fix F1? I would say: Make it cheaper! Keep the technology we have right now for another 3/4 years and don't make drastic changes to the rules every couple of years, instead make slight changes every 2/3 years and gradually change the regulations. Also: Don't get rid of the cost cap instead: Lower it significantly! And lower it for junior categories as well as karting, so it's not only the homeschooling rich kids getting a shot at becoming a professional.

I'm majorly looking forward to the Indycar starting back up this weekend. F1 used to be my main sport that I'd watch over anything else but for years now, it's just not been enjoyable. I still watch it usually but I don't prioritise it. I don't like most of the tracks, I don't like the new cars, I don't like the style of racing and the constant domination... You have to balance out sport and business for it all to work. All successful sports do that - they obviously care about making lots of money but they also realise that their product is the sport and if that's not good, you're not going to grow. F1 has tipped the scales way too far towards the business and they're going to find it hard to grow any further than they have as fans turn away from the sport. F1's biggest problem (and it's been the case for a while) is that it doesn't seem to know what it actually is. Is it a design and manufacturing competition where teams fight to build the fastest car or is it driving competition where drivers see who is the fastest? It's trying to be both and that results in one team dominating and boring races. If you want to see who can build the fastest car, open that up, stop limiting them and make that side of the sport exciting. If you want the races to be exciting and to see who the best driver is, give them all the same car. At the moment, they are ruining both sides so none of it is interesting. Indycar on the other hand knows what it is - it's a drivers competition. The teams take a back seat and whilst they still make a difference, it ultimately comes down to who is the best driver and it's therefore exciting to watch.

Thinking about it equal cars would solve everything, but puts a halt to innovation. There needs to be BOP. Look at the Hypercars at WEC. We have constant battles there and if someone wins a lot he gets immediately closer to the field by adding weight for example
@mediumpete
@mediumpete 5 месяцев назад
WEC is currently proving to F1 what you can do when you open up regulations to allow people to have flexibility in designs. We had the ridiculous Peugeot 9x8 being a wingless ground effect beast with a V6 turbo, up and fighting with the Porsche 963 with a turbo V8, and it's exciting. Le Mans in 2023 was a gripping race. And F1 looks at it and goes "oh, oh no, we can't do that, people wouldn't build cars for it, oh no, they'd all want road-relevant cars, oh no" in a little sheepish voice whilst simultaneously making competition impossible. FIA and Liberty need to realise that not changing things to make things work doesn't work. Adding new street circuits only makes sense to the people getting money out of promoting the race. Fix the regulations for the innovation and development of cars, and you fix the racing.

I disagree on what you said about the fact that all drivers should have the same car in F1 because that the case in F2 and the best drivers in this category depend also from their team to win. So the teams with the best engineers would be in front and I guess they would be the same as today.

Totally agree, I think with regulation changes for the 2021 season to favour redbull (changes to favour higher rake cars), being to lenient when the cost cap was broken and other obvious episodes the FIA have now given Redbull such a jumpstart to the ground effect cars, couple that with them having the greatest designer in history, I think perhaps for one the FIA need to do with Redbull what they did with Mercedes in 2021, find that silver bullet in there design that they can regulate against and put them back on the back foot. Couple that with what Hamilton said last year with putting a regulation in place to ban teams from developing the next years car until the later part of the season. But if they can level things again they’ve got to stop favouring certain teams as this is where you end up and it’s very hard to come back from. I do like the idea with the cost cap, it was there to level the grid and it hasn’t and at the end of the day it’s the pinnacle of motor sport, it should be limitless. First and foremost though sort the redbull issue because Hamilton and Mercedes was never this dominant, don’t get me wrong he always had the best car but I still think some seasons Hamilton could have won in that Ferrari 👌🏁🏎️

I think Driver to survive will be better if they make an episode for each race in order, and not too much about the off track. So you can recap the whole season with more radio interventions of the drivers.

I've been watching F1 since 1976 following James Hunt. My brother and l seemed to be the only one's we new who followed F1. I'd be reading Autosport in wh Smith to keep up with what was going on. To me you've only got to look at brundles grid walk to tell you what's happened. Simulators are helping youngsters too. I Don't have gripes about dominance. The other teams need to do better or ban Adrian Newey!

I've watched F1 most of my life and unless things get so catastrophically bad I'll probably watch until the day I leave this mortal realm but that being said... The past four/five years I've been branching out and watching other championships, mainly WEC, MotoGP & WRC and to be honest, besides the 2021 F1 season I've had more fun watching those aforementioned series than I have F1 for the most part! Throughout the winter I found myself being more excited for the start of the new WEC, WRC and MotoGP seasons. I've been especially looking forward to WEC with BMW, Alpine, Lamborghini and McLaren coming into the championship as well as Jenson Button and Mick Schumacher competing this season. I'm gonna be watching the opening round of WEC on Sunday and might just catch the highlights of the Saudi GP dare I say it! I guess my current issues with F1 would be the sprint races, the move towards more street circuits, the cars being too big, the Verstappen/Red Bull domination (Although to be fair this is a problem F1 has had for the better part of 24 years now with Schumacher/Ferrari, Vettel/Red Bull & Hamilton/Mercedes), the very restrictive stifling of any technological innovations the teams might come up with, the far too big 24 race calendar, the death of genuine proper privateer teams and the lack of V10 engines! I don't care if it's been almost 20 years and that they're not considered road relevant anymore, the sound from those screaming V10 engines is part of the reason I fell in love with F1 as a kid. Bring 'em back! 😂

Appreciate your views limitless but F1 is one of those things were you have to embrace change. Comparing it to the F1 of old is only going to get you down and its not a fair comparison. Dont overthink it. Just accept it for what it is. I'm a long time F1 fan, still enjoy it now and do watch and enjoy DTS too. The cars are still beautiful, the technology is still fascinating and the thrill of seeing a driver hit a perfect apex or overtake is still exciting. Thats all that matters.

F1 has been on a downwards trend since the V8’s disappeared and the cars got to be so big. Most fans miss the deafening sound and being able to see the speed and direction change on the camera like we had in the late 90’s and 2000’s. Those cars were so small and nimble that they just looked so much faster and raced better. Now the cars are just too large and don’t sound good, and the racing itself has been hindered by this and F1’s fetish for adding all these stupid street circuits on the calendar that nobody wants. Bring back the real race tracks and engines please…

For me personally, I don’t like the way that only new street circuits are coming to f1. I want Turkey, Germany, Sepang, Portimao back on the calendar. Also the calendar is way too long making each race less special especially when a team is dominating the way Red Bull does. That being said the domination by Verstappen takes a way a huge part for me to get excited about a race weekend because you just know what’s going to happen. I’m a huge F1 Fan since I was born and nearly watched every season since '05 but this era feels the worst so far. I do agree with you making F1 a spec series because it’s just so much more exciting to watch and everyone really cares about the drivers title and not about the manufacture side of the sport.

The issue I have with Red Bull is that they are too perfect. Don't get me wrong, props to them for getting the regulations spot on, but it's not much of a surprise, when you have personelle who are experts on ground effect. Point is, never in F1 have we had such a perfect team overall. Even at their height, Mercedes had vulnerabilities, such at Canada 2014 or Singapore 2015. Red Bull have only been defeated at Singapore last year, where a coctail of issues hampered them. F1 itself also needs to be more for the fans. Get rid of celebreties, gift tickets to hardcore F1 fans, bring actual F1 celebreties that care about the sport. I could go on on what issues F1 has, but you get the idea.

It’s not a negative. Narratives drive interests and new audience. F1 can and should grow to be much bigger than it is. I would love to see F1 as a top three sport in the world. We can’t get there just catering to the hardcore fans man. We need everyone.

The media circus isn't working though. If viewership is dropping, hardcore fans are leaving and new viewers lose interest. They're squeezing money out of it now at the cost of the sport's longevity.

Its also important to note the increase in pirating of streams and tv shows, as it could play into why there's seemingly less viewership overall for F1.

I feel like you have to accept that Max is going to win in 2024 and 2025. That’s just the way it is but besides that I think we saw great battles in Bahrain this year. With an even more compact and nearby midfield, I think there will be quite more enjoyable races than there were last year. Let’s hope for the best….

I think that you're right, F1 feels fabricated and it's more like sports entertainment these days. Too many gimmicks and unlikeable drivers, besides Alonso I don't see myself rooting for anyone. The cars should be smaller and lighter with a really aggressive sound, Drs and all that battery bs should be removed too. More teams would be nice, have satellite teams like MotoGP so the bigger teams can help the smaller ones with development etc. The biggest thing is the fakeness of it, like you said, it doesn't feel like a real sport anymore and that should change immediately.

Drive to Survive has really ruined modern F1. Bringing in new fans sounds good but when they are all just fanboys of one driver or another it just breeds toxicity within the sport. So many people that don’t appreciate the intricacies of the sport and just hate on anyone that doesn’t support their “Favourite Character” from DTS. I think it’s epitomized by the lack of interest because only Max wins races. Winning is not everything, the battle for P2 has been tremendously good. All these new DTS fans got spoiled by the close battle in 2021 and think that is how F1 has been and should always be without realizing how rare of an occurrence a title fight like that really is in F1. It’s extremely rare that we get two teams top drivers fighting it out like that. Most of the time a title fight is between teammates, and most of the time it’s not much of a fight because there is one clearly superior driver in each team.

You got it right towards the end of your rant. there should be many more regulations that would serve to simplify the aero and mechanical technology so that the rich teams would have no reason to spend more than the poor teams. If the poor teams didn't have to match the technology of the rich teams we would see actual racing where more than just the top two teams have a chance at the podium.

Moving all the venues to the middle east where there are no fans and vibes is one thing. Adding a lot of them in the USA and just make it a spectacular show rather than a race is just an awful direction. I feel like its more important for the broadcast to show random stars appearing at the races than showing the actual race

Vote with your feet and you get results. Tho for races id cap ers when car behind has drs open, so you cant defend full straight with ease. Ofc its artificial overtaking but it already is and drs doesnt seem to be very powerful if car in front defends its place. In f1 game the ers is strongerand still not always enough. I love f2 and f3 over f1 the racing is genuine and amount of cars makes it unexpected what happens. Also sheerskillcan get you from far away to victory/podium in f1 only verstappen could go last to first

Because of all the regulations, the pinnacle of motorsports being completely gimped by way too many regulations. The cars are way too big and way too many tight street circuits for them so less overtakes. Honestly its got to the point where the drama off track is more exciting. Stuff like Bearman making his debut is more exciting than the race. I genuinely think it`ll get worse with the 2026 regulations. Trying way too hard to make the sport carbon friendly. I think if they went back to v8s or v10s, slightly smaller cars. and stop gimping teams so hard it`d be fun again. I miss the days where the drivers had to wrestle the car a bit, the cars just look so clinical to drive now

F1 has gone to shit ever since the Covid era, they took advantage of that season to change so much in the sport that made our beautiful, historic and heritage hobby. Turning into a political and media zoo just to make more money. This sound horrible but f1 was better when it was a rich old man’s sport, not a gen z Netflix money grab thirstrap. We’ve lost so much, the classic cooldown rooms, podium interviews, podium design, parc fermé design, grid girls, Classic press conferences and so many heritage elements that were striped for fancy shmancy new things that just disgrace our sports history. This new generation of NASCAR design cars provide no teams to innovate and create interesting designs, every car looks the same and drives the same, only one of them is just 20 seconds faster. And with these new regulations in 2026, again we’re going backwards. Cars keep getting heavier and bigger, instead of smaller and lighter to promote better racing. I mean, they look like boats out there this season. The track vibe isn’t the same anymore either, I miss real circuits that looked good naturally, now it’s all these boring cookie cutter street circuits, and the few real ones are just littered with ad boards of the same shitty companies all over the place. Remember when street circuits were a rarity? I don’t anymore. And don’t even get me started on all the drivers and there politically correct bland personalities, I miss bad boys and brats with big ballsacks in F1, they gave the sport its soul. Very Sad how far F1 has fallen off ever since Liberty Media acquired it. The viewership and sales may have gone up due to plastic fans, but us real fans, fans of Motorsport and racing, not fans of social media posts and fabricated dramas have lost everything our history sport had to offer.

Atleast during the mercedes dominance era , you have rosberg AND lewis winning everything. Also bottas would win 5 or 6 races in a calender. But this RB era its just one driver winning man. This is not ok , might be ok in 2004 but not in 2024. IMO FIA and FOM needs to come up with a solution quick , because a few more boring races in a row will be unnceptable and they will lose lots of eye balls.
