Brutally Honest! Well said! It is ridiculous that these warriors have to fundraise for the appropriate weaponry instead of taking care of themselves on their down time! All these fundraisers from these units are conducted by the soldiers themselves. They are fighting for the free world, for freedom! The very least the Government partners could do is send the appropriate supplies much faster!

I’m not convinced that in terms of Ukrainian strategic communications it is best to say Ukraine is fighting for its lands, its women, its children Although this is legitimate, indeed completely true, is this an approach that plays well abroad? Yes, it’s true that people abroad can imagine a similar reaction if their lands were invaded but that feeling is about their lands, not Ukrainian lands. I think it would be better to say that Ukrainians [not Ukraine] are fighting to be free, to be able to choose their government, to be able to speak freely, to live, work and invest in a country governed by the rule of law, to live in peace, to not be forced to live under the boot of a fascist, imperial, murderous criminal. No, to live as Europeans with all the peace and freedoms that come with it. I think this is a more relateable message and can be boiled down to one word: Freedom. And freedom can only breathe within the framework of the rule of law. This should be the combined strat comms of Ukraine and its supporters. Slava Ukraini !

These laws are imposed on the people. In a democracy, dissent, private and public, is allowed and protected. In an autocratic system, dissent is prohibited and punished. Ukrainians chose democracy. They celebrate their freedom. Their choice is to ally themselves with their Western neighbors. Russians are choosing to kill and destroy them for this. Freedom without responsibility leads to tyranny. Russia has never been held accountable for its terrorism and breaking international laws in its violent aggression against others. The absence of consequences and deterrents for Russia's criminal aggression has opened the doors wide for further Russian aggression. No country can be allowed to illegally invade, plunder, and destroy a sovereign State and its people.
