Get a board and screw it into the wall where her screen needs attention. Then you could either staple it to the board or use a screw with a washer into the board.
Thank you! I screwed a board on the bottom of the hutch, which worked well. :) I think screwing boards on both sides would be good. I have a work-in-progress. Thankfully, she's the only one in there, and so far hasn't created a huge issue. I will more than likely make another trip to Lowe's this weekend and see what I can come up with. The hardware cloth has been chilling in my garage for a long time, The 2×4 was less than $2, The wire cutter was $8, and the stapler was $20. I think 4 (more) 2x4's, and it'll be good! The hutch came with Amore 2+ years ago with a heated water bottle. I bought a new heated water bottle for $25. Originally, he had built the hutch and a run attached. There was a platform under her hole (that I covered with hardware cloth) with a ramp to the ground, and LOTS of space to run and dig. I wanted to build one, but am completely overwhelmed. I don't even know where to start. :(
Amore lived in the house the entirety of her life with us, because building a run was out of my wheelhouse. I would like to have a divided run made, so mom and babies can use one side, and dad can be separated. I just have no idea how, or where to start.
@@heavensfire18, you will figure it out. If you still have some hardware cloth, I’ve seen people take the frame only of an old trampoline and turn into a chicken pen. So maybe that could be her outside run area?
