Inspirational! I never keep track. 😌 but will try this upcoming year! I bought the dollar store circle things for erasers on white boards from watching your video teaching small groups!☺️I liked how you said to “put the marker on the bed”! I teach kinders!

I’m not a teacher I’m a homemaker and I’m always learning to improve my organization and just wanted to say you are extremely organized and I might just apply your method of budgeting to my monthly household budgeting.

I teach in a title 1 school and I probably have 5 or 6 students each school year who bring school supplies. I end up spending so much of my own money making sure all students have what they need. I even had a student tell me one year that his mom said that if he needed supplies for school, the school could buy it. Well, we all know that doesn´t happen often! Usually the teacher is the one making the purchase.

I like the idea of the paper bag for supplies. So smart. I’m always like “put it next to your desk” and some kids really don’t like that.

If anyone is unaware you can supposedly use Better than Paper Bulletin Board paper as a whiteboard too. I have not tried, but had intended to originally.

Some stores will give you the paint sticks for free. I used them in my library. I had 30.

I think it was Home Depot or Lowes’. I said I was looking for paint sticks to use as shelf markers for my school library. He pointed to a bucket said take some.

Fun video! I really liked the magnetic letters with the trays. You can find them at $ Tree. In 3rd grade there is more math especially multiplication so I'll be looking for magnetic #'s. This may be fun. Haven't tried these yet.

Don’t know if you knew this already but paint stir sticks are free at home depot usually. (Unless they changed that)

I like your idea of keeping track of everything not just financially but also how you are documenting if it was a purchase worth it or not. I’m trying to binge watch your channel 😂🤦‍♀️ but I want to start from the beginning and take all the notes since I’m starting 1st grade soon. Based on what I can find it says you have 44 videos, but for some reason I thought you had more than that. I’m sure I’m missing something easy, do you know if their is an easy way to find your videos all in order so I can make sure I don’t miss any? Thanks! 😊 also, I’m secretly waiting for the day your husband can do a video on how he sets up a budget. ☺️

😳 I overspend every year. I should do a spreadsheet. I sort of also don’t want to know the cost 😂. I spend so much on books. I constantly buy books for my classroom. I never feel guilty about books.

astrobright paper, laminating sheets, and the scented paper chart markers are ALWAYS on my list! also, buying good quality dry erase boards. never again with the cheap 1$ boards- they got nasty so so fast 🤦‍♀️

my 10 drawer cart and my remote-controlled light sockets were some of my best purchases! My three-tiered metal cart and I never really got into a groove although i know most teachers love them. I also found that a physical classroom economy (i used target erasers) was way too hard and switched to dojo points.

@@mrs_katie_in_elementary Im no expert, but I gave students points for things like being a good friend, helping someone, being on task, a great answer to a question, magic trash, etc. Then, I made a menu/ order form that students could buy with their points (sock day, slipper day, lunch with teacher, treasure chest toy, etc for different prices) there is also a feature to give points to all students, which i would do if they got a compliment from another teacher or sub :)

I deal with school supplies by creating an Amazon list that I email to my families. Parents order the supplies and send them to my house so I can sort and label everything before school begins.
