As requested, I break down and speak to the gear that I brought with me on my 2019 section hike of the AT. Here I breakdown my pack, give my opinions, and share my thoughts on how I packed my load out.

Neat, someone else uses the top section of a bottle/bottle cap to make a DIY pump sack. Been doing it for years at this point. Though the smart water sports cap with the blue part removed was too big to work if memory serves me right. I've always had to make a hole in a solid cap sized just smaller than the smooth section of the valve on my Thermarest pads for best results. I'd like to see your tarp/inner setup. I'm thinking about going with an MLD Cricket and inner for my next shelter.

The cricket is awesome I have one and a dcf duomid from them and a solo xl inner that I can use in both

@@mischiefonthetrail8961 awesome, so that must mean you have the newer version based on the Solomid XL. Does the inner clip in at all 4 corners so you don't have to use extra stakes? It appears to do so, just wanted to check with a real world user. I'm waiting to see if there is a black Friday special but I'm pretty sold on the Cricket/Solomid XL inner for my next shelter.

Hello Mr mustache, As always nice video! I wished you shared links of the items. it's kinda hard now to find the same gear when i see something that I like, a lighterpack list would help too.

-Virtually every other review of the Sawyer Micro that I've seen says not to bother, stick with the regular size. -I also have the MLD mitts. Got them all seam sealed up (pain in the ass). Haven't used them yet. Did they ever wet out on you in heavy rain? I used the mitts from Outdoor Research and they totally wetted out. -Have you done a video on the nyloflume bag modification? -Your last shoe review was the King MT's. Have you used them much and how are they working out?

I’ve had good luck with the micro, I used the mini for years after having my regular squeeze freeze. Honestly in my opinion they are all great options I just happen to be using the micro right now. My MLD mitts have never soaked through, the event 3 layer seems to do really well. I have not done a video on the nylo pump bag but I will. This channel is a collaboration with a hiking buddy (Rev) and myself (Lysol). Rev wears the King MT’s I’ll make sure he knows you asked about them. Thanks

Hi! Great setup. The net tent you’re talking about, is that still the s2s nano or are you using something different now?

I use a diy that’s symmetrical the asymmetric design of the nano drove me nuts.

Super-useful tips thank you. And the Winter Layering System as well. Would love to know how the MLD eVent rain mitts compare to your MYOG ripstop nylon rain mitts.
