The large sunflower turtle is adorable. A tip for a smoother color change: join 2nd color as normal, and instead of sc, do a slip stitch as your first stitch in the color change. Then, as you do the second row, sc into that slip stitch.
@law4age the last stitch before the second color, make a single crochet as normal (insert hook, yo, pull through stitch, yo and pull through both loops) EXCEPT the last yo you use your second color to pull through both loops. Then, the next stitch will be your slip stitch. I hope that makes sense. Lol
I love your channel and enthusiasm! I'm a 69 yr old grandma, and have been knitting and crocheting since I was 20! Thinking about doing a market, but scared, lol!
You are so good at crocheting stuffed plushies and you are so pretty. You are the one youtuber I watch when I crochet a plushie or other things. Thanks
I love the color coordinating keychains! I've never thought there was another option besides those normal silver keychains. Thank you for the inspo and showing us all the beautiful turtles!
Omg so much cuteness I couldn’t handle it 😂 love all your creations they are all so adorable from the mushroom 🍄 to the birthday 🎂 turtle 🐢 And the corgi is absolutely adorable ☺️. I enjoy catching up with you today have a wonderful evening 😊🧵🪡🤗🤩
Hello Genna! Love your videos. I've been crocheting for 20 years now and have also tackled that cute corgi pattern for my daughter. I feel you on the color change, but it did come out super cute!
I'm impressed how many young people are crocheting these beautiful creatures. I received a jelly fish which was made in Luisiana. I did not realize such a market exists for Amigurumi's & it sounds like adults are the customers. Where do u buy your wool? I'm in Ontario Canada. I have made a few seals & jelly fish & given them as gifts. I loved the birthday turtle. I just discovered this & I'm so impressed with your work .Best Wishes
I love your videos! Thank you so much for wonderful content and brightening the crochet community! Because of you I made a mini axolotl, and I love it! 😊❤
Love them all, the corgi is so cute tho, AHH THEIR ALL SO CUTE! 🥹 Can't wait for the market prep vid! Everytime I see you posted a video, I am so excited to watch it! I hope one day to become like you! You give everyone so much inspiration, like you're awesome 🩷🩷🩷
Oh my gosh Genna , I love love the corgi puppy . It is so precious , the sunflower turtle is gorgeous . I need to try to make a sunflower turtle 🐢 , I just finished a keychain turtle . It came out so cute , I done it in acrylic ❤
Hehe aww thank you! ❤️ This week is definitely a bit off scheduling wise -- I'll have another vid posting on Friday :) but then next week we'll go back to Wednesday hahah :)
I actually think the mallard with the green velvet yarn has the look of a real mallard, compared to the parfait chunky. And I think it looks cute as heck. Maybe do the body with the parfait chunky but keep the top of the head with the velvet?
Im just rewatching some of your videos while practicing my crochet skills and I have to say, I really like the velvet mallard. I think its "more realistic" in a way, specially the head, when I see them in the park sunbathing, they really shimmer so I think the velvet yarn suits them well ♥
I love the show "Phineas and Ferb". So when i saw that you did a Perry the Platypus plushie i was so happy, he so cute! 😁 I also love the rainbow birthday cake turtle its amazing.🎂🐢
omg this is so amazing! I've been kind of struggling lately with knowing what stitches do what. For example: what is the difference between an invisible decrease and a normal decrease, or like what increases do and what they look like. I haven't found a video that explains it good enough for me to understand! are you willing to make a video if this? If not, I totally understand, you have so many other vides you have to make. Great video btw:)
All of you're projects always turns out soo good. I am just wondering what size of safty eyes did u use for the corgi I am planning to make one myself. And I can't wait for your next market prepp video😊
Hi I'm new to your channel I just started watching today and I love your videos they make so happy your are so good at crocheting I'm crocheting a cardigan and it will be up in my channel in s few weeks!
I’ve made a few dogs (Dalmatian, golden retriever, husky variation) in cotton yarn similar to that style from another designer, but I really don’t like the part where you have to sew on the head. Maybe it would be easier with a softer yarn like that. But they are so cute and that corgi is adorable!
Hi genna! I was just wondering if you could share the size and brand of safety eyes you used for your adorable sunflower turtles. This video was so fun to watch, have a nice day!
Heyyyyyyy Gennnaaaaaaa!! ❤❤ I cant wait to watch this it is pretty late here and I have school tomorrow so I need to sleep but tomorrow when I’m back I willl for sureeee watch this I can’t help but watch at least the first 2 mins of the vid and you seem so joyful as usual 🌸❤️💞 Okayyyy i gtg sleep loll gnnn byee love you Genna and lots of love from India!
I just adore your videos!! Please keep them coming they’re so inspiring! Quick question- how do you make those super awesome turtles so big? Is there a pattern or do you use a different crochet hook? Thanks so so much ❤❤❤
I also enjoy the freshness and challenge of a new design, but it is so much more time consuming than a tried and true which is an issue for a business. I wonder if part of why you still enjoy your turtles is that you know what to do, so you get to experience the relaxation that crochet can offer.
Love watching your videos, and I’ve tried a couple of your patterns I purchased from your Etsy shop. I’m wondering if you could do a short video on how to add blush to your plushies? I’m having so much trouble with something that seems so simple haha. Also, does the platypus pattern show how to make it a bigger size?
Aww thank you so much!! ❤️ When I first started making plushies, I also had no idea how to do blush, even though it did seem super simple. I'll definitiely show you guys next time I film :) and the platypus pattern can be sized up if you use bulkier yarn -- I used size 6 originally so if you use size 7 and a 7mm or 8mm hook, he'll definitely turn out bigger!
Hi Genna! Crocheter to crocheter (idk if that's the right term but anyway), I was wondering what stuffed animal would be the easiest for me to attempt first. When i first started crocheting about 3 months ago, I attempted to crochet a crocodile and found it traumatising, but watching your videos has inspired me to re-attempt stuffed animals. I mainly crochet clothes so I believe that I'll be able to crochet animals. Also I want to get into selling at the market, although I think it would be hard to sell suck big and time consuming items so I want to learn littler projects in hopes of being able to start a crochet business. Although I am only 14 and I think that might turn out to be a con if I wanted to try selling online. Any tips that you or anyone else in the comment section would have for me I would be ever so grateful. Thank you to whoever is taking the time to read this and respond. Xx
