Love seeing how much fun you're having! I've been following you for a little over a year now, and am continuously inspired by your passion and hard work. So it's good to see that all that is paying off!
Well deserved free time Jamie. I'm currently on one of my busiest periods med school exams, vlogmas, doctors appointments, school extra curricular activities. I can't wait for my well deserved break.
Hi Jamie!! I'm currently a third year undergrad and applied for medical school this year. I was wondering if you could maybe do a comparison video for undergrad vs med school in terms of study hours, sleep, study techniques, social life, and things like that. I'd really appreciate it because sometimes medical school seems impossible, and all people usually say is that they're really busy.
If you feel the need to clean, or declutter, I would listen/read "The Life Changing Magic Of Tidying Up". The process feels like I'm confronting my life for the first time. As a clean freak, this is the only organizational advice that I've ever come across that is actually sound and truly thoughtful. And If you haven't played "Tokaido" before I would totally invest in it!!
Aww don’t be sorry! Sometimes we get so caught up in work and stress that we really forget to relax and release the tension in our shoulders... in that’s sense, you are truly inspiring! And now I’ll stop procrastinating 😂👍
Just started first year 4 months ago and it was so crazy from day 1. I'm in Europe tho so 6 years to go. I hope you keep vlogging through residency because you really help me a lot!
I grew up between NYC and the Bronx; 86th was my home station! I also LOVE that book store too. I used to go to a book club that would meet there - so many good memories! Thanks for helping me see some of my favorite places xo
early squadddddd. love your videos so much, I'm in the process of transferring to a major university where i live and continuing my degree in biochemistry & you give me such motivation for med school! thank you jamie!!
Rachel YES...from what I hear from junior doctors, it happens even after you qualify, BUT you got to remember you didn’t get to where you are by chance, so you are more than capable of going the distance!!!
Hey, would you please make a video on different studying habits that you used in college. I need to find studying habits before serious harsh classes come along. PLEASE!!!!!! Thnak you!
Good to see you have free time and resting ❤️ Love the style in this vlogs how chill and relaxing they are 💕 If you’re looking for a good book I can recommend: siddharta by Herman Hesse, the alchemist by Paulo coelho and the divine comedy by Dante
I recently finished "The Devotion of Suspect X" by Keigo Higashino, and thoroughly enjoyed it. If you like crime/mystery novels, I highly recommend it because this book has a genius plot!
Hi Jamie! I've never commented on a video before (I've been watching you without an account to comment from since you had 40K subs and you actually inspired me to even sign up for/start this current account I'm commenting from!), but I just wanted to say thank you so much for all of your advice/for your videos. Your videos make me feel like I have an older sister to help me through the process/the near future. I know that I can trust the advice that you give to all of your followers! Thank you!
I've always wanted what you do in your free time! Love your video as always, you're really inspiring. And have you read Gretchen Rubin's book? they're awesome!
I'm not sure if you answered this question in a past video but since Med students generally can't work because studying is their full time job... is rent and daily living expenses paid with loans (on top of the rest of tuition/equipment loans)?
I highly recommend the book “Into The Magic Shop.” I work in a book store and this is one of the best books I’ve ever read... it really stuck with me. Interested to hear if anyone else has read it and what they think :)
Your face at 5:57 when you talk about buying things for yourself and that you should stop.. :D we all have it, it means we are gonna buy things for ourselves anyway :D
Hey, I'd recommend Unshakeable by Tony Robbins Born a crime by Trevor Noah The monk who sold his Ferrari by (forgot the author) The alchemist (forgot the author) They're all amazing I think you'd enjoy them. 😁
