What I Don't Like To Do With The Tarot! 

Good advice. I pull cards plus 1 or 2 oracle cards. Look at them without doing a normal reading, but ask the question, which mental pathways need to open for a successful day? I then meditate with no thoughts while the divine triggers neural paths in my subconscious. I find this empowers my decisions and priorities without interference from my poor gifts at reading the cards. Tea was a great idea. I have a new witches brew bug in the shape of a cauldron with a witches hat for a lid. Extends the brewing time and keeps it hot longer. Love and light. ❤

I would never do a year spread. I love pulling out cards daily to check the energy for the day. I use my cards several times a day! 😅 Im just so fascinated reading Tarot , absolutely love😊

I decided not to do a year ahead spread this year also. I also decided I would rather face the energy when I'm in the energy instead of worrying about it 6 or 8 or 10 months from now. I have done one the last few years and decided to discontinue that practice also. I do a card pull sometimes in the morning but I do love the idea of pulling it in the evening for reflection as well! I'm really not into a wheel of the year as in 1 card per month because I don't want to be my own oracle of delphi as in a tragedy. The cards don't seem wrong, but there was no understanding of how or why those cards were there or for that matter, a lot of those themes were there in ways that were completely out of the picture at the time of the reading. I instead use a 12 houses spread to reflect on the year past and guidance for the year coming. I'm fine with predictive readings but often for a specific question, or if general, for a brief period of time. Card of the day also can be modified as "advice of the day" or "a card of reflection" as you said, but I'm iffy on connecting with a deck through some type of daily pull because the cards often become miniscule or very minor in meanings.

I used to do the last one over and over again with reading for the same question until I was happy with the answer. The wheel and justice popped up again and again. In retrospect it was saying this situation was not really in my control and I needed to have an objective look (also personal boundaries with Justice for this specific situation). Taking a photo of the spread and reflecting on it later is a solution to this perhaps.
