I don't why but I got really emotional at the beginning, not in a bad way but touched. I didn't expect you guys to talk about the black lives matter movement. It's been a stressful week and I was just going to wind down with this video and I'm truly touched. You can't imagine the amount of people that say silent cus they just don't see it as their place to talk about it. things are getting scarier here in nyc. habeus corpus, which is a law where the police aren’t allowed to arrest anyone without lawful reason, was suspended. military grade equipment is being used and LRADs (long range acoustic devices) are being used, which can cause immediate severe damage with anything above 120db (decibels). they are using 140 db. police also shut off all communication to the bronx, indicating that nobody has any idea what they’re doing to the people here. this country is becoming authoritarian, and its scary, but god i really need an escape. thank you so much for this. your videos are calming and care free, something we all need right now.

I wrote down the hotteok recipe, since it looked good! 👍 --- Yeast (guessing one packet/7g, and 1/2 cup of water?) Add (WARM!) water, mix, clingfilm (you could also put some of the sugar in at this point, but that’s a bit of a myth that I still do 😬) 2 cups Strong flour, 1 cup glutinous rice flour, 2 spoons of sugar, 1/2 spoon salt - stir Add some Oil🤷‍♀️ Add yeasty water slowly. Add more water to bring together into dough. Cling film and leave to rise (for like an hour, I’d probably knock it back and leave another 20 minutes too, but it is always cold here) Filling - 1 cup of sugar, 2 tsp cinnamon, 3 spoons honey/syrup, sesame seeds - mix to super thick paste Fill dough. Make balls. Fry, press, flip, done! (I usually fry with the lid on after the flip, takes like two minutes) (Don’t be impatient and burn your face off when you eat them 👍) (I prefer savoury cheese & veg filling instead)

For the recipe 2 cup strong flour aka bread flour 1 cup glutinous flour 2 spoon sugar Half spoon salt Mix all the ingredients and add the yeast mixture from earlier Add some water if too dry Knead Rest a while to rise For the stuffing One cup sugar 2 tsp cinnamon 3 spoon honey Mix Once dough rise , knead alittle and form into flat balls Put the filling inside and wrap Oil the pan and pan fry the balls on both sides till golden brown
